Chapter 15 Mr. Yu, do you have enemies?
Surrounded by black mist, emanating a cloyingly sweet fragrance, inhaling too much of the overpowering aroma made one dizzy and unable to think clearly. With the slightest movement, Yu Nianqing felt as if the world was turning upside down, constantly swirling around her.
All around me was the familiar, decadent smell.
He sat up and found the light in front of him dim. At a glance, there were rows of neat beds, and the sheets and blankets were yellowed under the light of the chandelier.
But he knew that these things were yellowed and were old antiques that had been used for who knows how long. Instead of tracing the age of these bedding items, he should trace the history of the Yu family's rise to power.
They were all very dirty.
He looked down at his hands; they had shrunk.
He had another dream.
Only now in his dream can he recall that the content of last night's dream is the same as now.
He returned to that disgusting orphanage.
Why do I forget all the dreams I've had every morning when I wake up? It's as if every time I bask in the sunlight, all the gloom on my body can be driven to the ground and trampled under my feet.
Yu Nianqing jumped off the bed and walked through the densely packed small beds toward the door.
"Fifteen, where are you going?" A child, about the same age as him, sat up on the bed next to him. They were around seven or eight years old.
"I'm going to the bathroom," he heard himself reply, the same as always.
"Do you want me to come with you?" the child asked, rubbing his eyes and speaking unclearly.
He chuckled. "Go to sleep. I'm not like you, afraid of even this. You coward."
The answer was exactly the same.
"You're the coward," the other person muttered, pulling the sheet up and lying down.
The way the child was muttering complaints reminded Yu Nianqing of someone, but she couldn't remember who it was.
The dormitory is on the second floor, and the toilet is on the second floor at the corner.
There are no separate toilets for Alphas and Omegas, because this orphanage only houses Omega children, and this floor is their daily activity space.
"Sir, I beg you, please don't..."
A piercing cry came from one of the toilet stalls, along with several adult male gasps—more than one.
Yu Nianqing stood at the door, trying his best to control himself and turn around and leave the toilet immediately, but his body was not under his control at all, and he watched helplessly as he walked in.
A few tears welled up in the corners of her eyes.
The person in the cubicle heard footsteps outside and opened the door.
He turned his head and saw two disheveled male Alphas and a naked child kneeling on the floor in the cubicle.
It was someone he knew; the two of them had been group partners in their writing class yesterday morning.
The child was soaking wet, his face streaked with tears, and he looked at him pleadingly.
Yu Nianqing felt as if her heart was being cut by a knife.
What can he do?
“This looks good too, but I’m too lazy to share one with you two.” The Alpha standing in front walked towards him.
Yu Nianqing turned to run, but her hair was grabbed, and after a brief moment of being suspended in the air, she was slammed hard onto the floor.
Another person spoke up: "Are you looking for death? This won't do; it's been specially marked on the surface."
Yu Nianqing lay on the ground, her vision blurred and she saw stars. Only now did she recognize that it was the voice of her literature teacher.
"Fine, kid, go back to your dorm and call someone over, then I'll let you go." Alpha squatted down next to him, grabbed his hair, and lifted him up.
"No," he forced out through gritted teeth.
"Don't want to?" the person still standing in the cubicle said. "Then, Sixteen, what do you think is the best way to deal with your good friend?"
"Sir, please let him go, I beg you," Sixteen cried.
"Aren't you afraid that when he goes back, he'll tell other people about us? Not everyone is as kind as you."
Sixteen fell silent.
Then, Yu Nianqing was tied to the water tank with a belt and forced to listen to lewd and disorderly sounds for several hours.
Afterwards, the literature teacher gave Sixteen a beautiful bag of chocolates.
Sixteen took the candy, politely said "Thank you, teacher," lowered his head, not daring to look at his former friend on the ground beside him, and limped away.
Yu Nianqing was to be confined for half a month.
Spaceship cabins
Yu Nianqing suddenly opened his eyes, got up and went to the bathroom. He tilted his head back and turned on the shower. The icy water cascaded down like a waterfall, gradually waking him from his dream.
The confinement was tough. Each day there was only a cup of water and a small piece of black bread, which I couldn't swallow without water.
When he finally managed to get out of the solitary confinement cell, he found his sheets covered in insulting words written in colored pencils. Looking up in confusion at the small group standing at the other end of the room, he saw the children glaring at him angrily, while Sixteen, surrounded in the middle, kept his head down, avoiding his gaze.
From then on, no one spoke to him anymore.
"Mr. Yu, do you have any enemies?"
Yu Nianqing leaned weakly against the wall, her hand covering her forehead. The disgusting faces of the Yu family couple floated before her eyes, and the terrible screams and gasps from that night echoed in her ears.
Of course he has enemies.
That's too far off; it's like a mantis trying to stop a chariot, or an egg striking a rock.
What can he do?
Yu Nianqing let go of his hand, letting the water wash over his face and wet his pajamas.
