Chapter 19: New Official Takes Office at the Demolition Office
Yu Nianqing didn't know why the ceiling suddenly started leaking. His neck was the most sensitive part of his body, and the water droplets flowed down his neck, down the back of his neck or back, making him feel as uncomfortable as caterpillars crawling on his body.
She tried to move her body to avoid the water droplets, but she was tied up so tightly that she couldn't move at all.
Without even looking, it's obvious that after a struggle, there must have been several purplish-blue marks around her neck.
"I'm not as brave as my shoe size; I'm afraid of everything and it's a waste of my time."
The man outside turned off the intercom and entered the room. Looking at the beauty on the bed, he was about to say something lewd to tease her when suddenly he heard several kitten meows above his head, mixed with the sounds of jumping and bumping.
"Where did this cat come from?" He turned on the light and looked up at the ceiling warily.
Yu Nianqing was stung by the light and blinked for a while before adjusting her eyes. She endured the double vision and carefully looked at the ceiling.
There's not even a crack, so where did the water come from?
He thought it was probably a leak in the ceiling pipes.
There are indeed some stray cats in the harbor; he saw a fleeting cat tail yesterday as he walked across the glass skybridge.
He also told Hengxing that if he had time, he wanted to catch them and take them to an animal shelter.
Captain Heng answered objectively and truthfully: "Given their dexterity and life experience, you probably won't be able to catch them."
Thinking of this, her usually bright eyes slowly dimmed.
As despair slowly crept in, he missed Captain Heng more than ever before.
If only she were here.
The man picked up the energy gun, aimed it at the source of the sound, and fired just as the "cat" passed directly above his head.
The cat stopped meowing.
He put down his gun with satisfaction.
As if playing a game, the moment the gun was put down, the cat's meowing resumed, this time even more cheerful, and it began running around wildly again.
Several metal particles fell from above and hit him squarely on the head. The sensation was similar to being hit on the head by a bird in mid-air, causing the same frustration.
What the heck!
I got angry.
He's out of control.
He was completely obsessed.
Alpha's dignity is inviolable. He immediately took out his gun, pointed it at the source of the sound, and unleashed a barrage of bullets without even looking, until his energy was depleted.
Finally, there was silence.
The man put down his gun, as happy as a wronged child who had spent 500 Star Coins to toss rings in a park and won a longan.
Yu Nianqing couldn't turn her head; her vision was limited to the ceiling.
He smelled the burning, heard the incessant gunfire, and watched helplessly as he used his energy gun to draw an irregular closed shape on the ceiling.
Things started to get weird, and he felt like something was off.
The gunfire stopped, and only Alpha's panting could be heard in the room.
He stood by the door, gun in hand, silently declaring his victory and basking in the crowning glory bestowed upon him by the air.
Good times don't last long.
A soft "creaking" sound emerged along with the debris from the ceiling, gradually gathering from small pieces.
The ceiling was about to collapse; the room wasn't big, but the metal plate was quite large, and there was nowhere to hide.
He could only drop his gun and reach out to catch the falling metal plate.
The iron plate fell steadily into his hand, and he then bent down and placed it against the wall.
Hearing the sound beside her, Yu Nianqing saw a figure emerge from the hole in the ceiling, moving so fast that only a blur could be seen.
The enemy of my enemy may be my friend.
He remained quiet and offered no warning.
Taking advantage of the man's bent-over posture, Heng Xing, who had been hiding for a long time, jumped down from his blind spot, landed lightly, grabbed his neck, and twisted it easily. The person in his hand fell straight to the ground like a puppet without strings, his head hitting the steel plate with a loud thud that made Yu Nianqing frown.
Hengxing stretched out his foot and pulled the man's corpse a little further in.
He was blocking the doorway, preventing her from closing it.
After closing and locking the door, she walked towards the bed.
Yu Nianqing stared blankly as she gradually came into view, finding everything incredible. His heart pounded faster and faster, the deafening sound drowning out his words, "Captain Heng, how did you get on board?"
Did you come here for me?
“I couldn’t find you, and I just happened to see this spaceship when I returned to the port.” Heng Xing paused, stood by the bed and looked down at him, then suddenly said, “Mr. Yu, you look like a hanged ghost.”
After she finished speaking, she realized her mistake and immediately apologized, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to curse you."
Hearing those familiar, unrestrained, and witty remarks from Xingxing, Yu Nianqing finally felt a sense of reality. Just now, watching Hengxing walk towards him with her back to the light, unable to see her expression and with her figure blurred, he wondered if he was dreaming.
It's understandable to hallucinate due to excessive longing.
"Let me untie the rope for you first." Hengxing saw that he was staring blankly without saying anything, so he knelt down by the bed to help him untie the rope around his neck.
With the rope tied behind his neck, she placed her hand under his neck, bent down, and slowly untied the rope for him.
Her fingertips accidentally touched the soft glands on the back of the other person's neck, and the person in her hand suddenly trembled, their watery peach blossom eyes drooping slightly, their eyelashes trembling with their body, as fragile as a porcelain doll that could only be preserved in a box.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry!" Heng Xing turned into an apology machine for the second time, and was even more careful to control his movements.
Yu Nianqing remained silent. From his perspective, the female Alpha lay before him, her expression focused, gently untying the knots as if handling a precious treasure with the utmost care.
He traced her delicate and beautiful features with his gaze, his heart as soft as a heated marshmallow, where you could see fine sugar threads when you gently pulled it.
Yu Nianqing stared at her blankly, wishing he really was the treasure hidden in the female Alpha's arms.
From the orphanage to the Yu family, no one had ever treated him with such sincerity, gentleness, and without malice as she had.
I can't solve it.
"Mr. Yu, do you think this rope can be cut with a knife?" Hengxing asked, looking at the wooden board next to her. She didn't dare to look at Yu Nianqing's face, and the tips of her ears were already red.
Mr. Yu used to wear a scarf to cover half his face. His skin was very fair, and his eyes were very beautiful. She had always looked at him with the same appreciation as if he were a beautiful landscape. But now his whole face was exposed. His lips were red, his teeth were white, and his eyes were slightly red. He looked as delicate and beautiful as a flower in a garden that had just been watered and was still wet.
He kept staring at her, his eyes full of affection, and the more he looked at her, the hotter her face became, and sweat began to bead on her forehead.
"So, can I close my eyes?" Hengxing wondered.
But then she thought again that her eyes were her own, and that opening and closing them was a right that everyone should have, so she swallowed back the words that were about to come out.
Yu Nianqing said softly, "I don't know, I can't see what kind of rope it is."
Heng Xing got up, rubbed his lower back, took a dagger from his spatial storage, and prepared to try it out.
It failed.
She had never seen the rope before, so she didn't know what it was made of.
She wiped the sweat from her forehead with her sleeve.
A drop of sweat escaped and landed on Yu Nianqing's face, sliding down his face and into his neck.
Hengxing put the dagger away and prepared to try untying it by hand again.
Looking down, she noticed a streak of water on Yu Nianqing's face. She immediately and earnestly comforted him, "Mr. Yu, this rope can definitely be untied. Don't be sad."
Yu Nianqing: "..."
"It just fell from the sky."
Hengxing: In the heavens?
She looked up at the ceiling, then looked away, puzzled.
"I'm so sorry, I ...!"
She understood and quickly used her sleeve to wipe him. After wiping him a couple of times, she realized what was happening and hurriedly pulled out a tissue to fix the situation.
She knew Yu Nianqing had a cleanliness obsession, and the more she thought about it, the more guilty she felt.
“It’s alright,” Yu Nianqing said.
He was indeed a germaphobe, but when he thought that this came from Captain Heng, he felt no disgust or aversion whatsoever. Instead, he felt a secret joy rising deep within him.
Something seemed to have changed between the two of them, or more accurately, something had changed between him and Captain Heng.
"Why don't you ask that person? He should know," Yu Nianqing suggested.
"Which one?" Heng Xing asked, confused.
"The one you just knocked unconscious." Yu Nianqing was referring to the one on the ground.
"Him? He might never be able to speak again. I acted too quickly. I should have spared his life," Heng Xing said. She recognized the person lying on the ground as the Alpha who had followed her and been beaten yesterday. It turned out that he had only come to test her abilities yesterday, and after testing her, he deliberately avoided her when he kidnapped Yu Nianqing today.
If I had known this would happen, I should have handled it more decisively yesterday, and there wouldn't have been so much trouble today.
"Mr. Yu, do you know how many people are on this spaceship?"
"There should be two people."
"Then why don't you lie down for a bit longer?" Hengxing got up. "I'll go find another one; he should know how to solve it."
Yu Nianqing remembered the conversation they had just had and called out to her, "No need, the other one should be here soon."
"By the way, Mr. Yu, do you still have your gun?"
"The spatial button on my hand has been taken away. Can you check if my necklace is still there? I left one in here."
Hengxing sat back on the bed.
A faint silver sheen could be seen on Yu Nianqing's collar, indicating that the necklace was still there.
But she felt it was inappropriate to put her hands inside an Omega's clothes, so she decided to use tools appropriately.
So she took out the dagger she had just used.
Yu Nianqing: "..."
"Captain Heng, do you want to kill me?"
Heng Xing: "Um, it wouldn't be good to bump into that area."
She tried to use the tip of the dagger to pry the chain off.
Yu Nianqing sighed, looked at Heng Xing's red ear tips, and puffed out her chest slightly, "Just take it."
"Oh." Hengxing's ears turned even redder. She gently lifted his collar and used the tip of her other little finger to hook the chain out. She was very proper throughout and didn't look around at all.
He quietly let her do as she pleased, as obedient as a kitten.
She felt that something was off with Mr. Yu today; he might have been frightened.
Kidnapping is still terrifying, she understands.
"Mr. Yu, did they arrest you because you betrayed the organization?"
"No, they wanted to send me to someone else's bed."
"Ah, that's too much, too illegal!" Heng Xing, the righteous messenger who had just twisted someone's neck, said righteously.
She seemed to have read about this in a book; it was called something like the suspension bridge effect.
Mr. Yu may have been too frightened and mistook the violent heartbeat caused by fear and surprise for a fluttering heart. He developed a sense of attachment to her who came to his rescue, which is why he looked at her with such affectionate and focused eyes.
Everything makes sense now.
After she figured it out, the heat on her face subsided, she looked at him with pity, and sighed deeply.
Poor Omega.
Yu Nianqing felt a little confused. He didn't understand why Heng Xing, after frowning and thinking wildly, suddenly changed his expression and looked at him with a mixture of sympathy and pity in his eyes.
Never mind, it's not important.
In his opinion, Captain Heng was adorable no matter what expression he made.
Heng Xing took out a gun for intoxication from the necklace-shaped spatial button, then jumped back onto the ceiling to wait for his prey.
The timing was perfect; she had just found the perfect sniping position when the door opened.
A slightly overweight middle-aged man opened the door, rubbing his hands together, and was then shot down by sharpshooter Heng Xing, falling onto his companion's corpse. The two of them were stacked on top of each other like a game of Jenga.
Heng Xing went up and searched his body, finding Yu Nianqing's wristband-shaped spatial button in his pants pocket.
She also found an energy knife in the same pocket. After tying the man to the spot with nylon rope and making sure he couldn't break free, she walked back to the bedside, held up the energy knife, and said to Yu Nianqing, "This might be able to cut through."
Specialization is key; the rope was easily cut, and the severed rope lay scattered on the bed board.
"Mr. Yu, did he choke you earlier?"
Sure enough, it left marks.
Yu Nianqing smiled at her: "The rope is just tied too tightly."
"Will it hurt a lot? Do I need to apply medicine?" Hengxing asked him, cutting the ropes on his hands, waist, and legs as she spoke.
“No…” Yu Nianqing was about to answer when she suddenly remembered something and asked with her eyes lowered, “Then, Captain Heng, could you help me apply it?”
Hengxing looked at his hand with suspicion; it looked perfectly healthy.
Oh, it's probably because I've been tied up for too long, which has affected my blood circulation and makes me less agile. That's why I asked her to help me apply the medicine.
"Of course you can."
She can help with this small favor.
"Then I'll come find you after I take a shower," Yu Nianqing said. "It seems like the ceiling was leaking just now. Did a water pipe break up there?"
Heng Xing nodded, outwardly calm but inwardly turbulent.
Just now, in order to find Yu Nianqing, she climbed all over the ceiling of the spaceship along the ventilation ducts, and briefly stopped on the ceiling directly above this bed after finding him.
The ventilation duct was connected to a heater, and the temperature was very high, causing her to sweat profusely from the cold.
The water dripping from the ceiling must be her sweat.
"Captain Heng, what are you thinking about?"
Heng Xing snapped out of his daze and awkwardly urged, "Mr. Yu, why don't you go take a shower first?"
"Oh, by the way, Captain Heng, why did a kitten get into the spaceship?"
"Well, that's not a kitten, it's a robot vacuum cleaner carrying my terminal, mainly for a diversionary tactic."
Hengxing walked to the bottom of the broken ceiling, and a flat robot vacuum cleaner slid out from the upper partition and landed right in her arms.
The robot vacuum cleaner was still running and diligently working, wriggling around in her arms like a mischievous kitten.
Yu Nianqing led Hengxing to his old room. He went in to take a shower, while Hengxing watched outside to make sure there were no other things hidden in the spaceship.
Hengxing was worried that the one who hadn't died would suddenly wake up and escape, so he dragged him all the way here by the rope. The strength of the drugged gun was quite strong, and he still hadn't woken up after dragging him for half the spaceship.
They brought out several buckets of water from the next room and poured them over his head, one bucket at a time. After doing this several times, he finally woke up.
"This anesthetic is pretty strong. I poured so many buckets of water on you before you woke up." Heng Xing stood in front, looking down at him.
This sentence sounds so familiar.
Oh, she seemed to have said the same thing when she interrogated someone last time. She reached up and smoothed her hair.
"How many accomplices are there?"
Aren't you going to tell me?
The man thrashed about on flat ground like a fish out of water, crying, "I'll talk, I'll talk, please don't hit me."
"Just say what you want to say, why are you playing tricks on me?" Hengxing saw through him at a glance that he was just agreeing verbally, but in reality his hands were constantly groping behind his back.
They were probably looking for weapons and decided to launch a counterattack on the spot.
Heng Xing kicked him directly in the chest, and the man rolled several times on the ground, coughing up a mouthful of black blood.
"Don't bother looking, I'm a professional at searching people," Heng Xing said. She had just taken several spatial buttons and anonymous cards from him, as well as an energy gun and an energy knife.
She pulled out the energy knife she had just seized, turned it on, and a blue, transparent blade appeared out of thin air on the bare handle. Holding the energy knife, she squatted down in front of the man who was still coughing.
"Didn't you just say you wanted to play? How about I play with you?"
"What do you like to play? I've heard some people enjoy pain, what about you?"
She pointed the energy knife at his genitals. "Do you like this?"
"I'm good at hitting people, and I'm good at neutering dogs, this should hurt enough."
The man's pupils dilated in shock; the masochistic image in his mind was of a beautiful Omega uniform, a whip, and a small candle, not a blond pervert or an energy knife amputation surgery.
"Don't move, I'll talk, I'll talk!"
Separated by a wall, Yu Nianqing leaned against the door, clutching a change of clothes, secretly watching the movements in the corridor. Hearing Heng Xing standing up for him, he gently placed his hand on the bruise on his neck, as if the warmth from the Alpha's hand had never left.
He made up his mind.
He would walk the rest of the way with Captain Heng.
She really just wanted to know what other dangers or hidden dangers might exist on the spaceship.
After the man confessed everything, Hengxing shot him again, knocking him unconscious once more.
She couldn't keep this person, but she hadn't yet figured out the best way to handle it.
Send him to a mining planet to mine?
No, the mining planet has already been shut down.
As she pondered, the door beside her opened, and Yu Nianqing walked out in her pajamas, smelling of shower gel.
Hengxing pulled on the rope. "Let's go to the driver's seat."
Yu Nianqing held up a small box of ointment. "Okay."
"Captain Heng, did you really neuter dogs before?" Yu Nianqing was genuinely curious.
"Did you hear that? No, I was just trying to scare him. But it doesn't seem that difficult; cutting it off completely should be enough," Hengxing said seriously.
Seeing her expression gradually turn distorted, Yu Nianqing quickly stopped her thoughts, "Just keep him tied up like this."
"Alright then, Mr. Yu, this spaceship is too obviously marked. I just glanced at the map, and we can detour to Swish Star, dispose of this spaceship there, and then hire a new spaceship to go to Yula Star to retrieve the old spaceship. What do you think of this?"
Swisse has a thriving black market and is adept at handling things that can't be brought to the forefront.
"I'll listen to you," Yu Nianqing replied, looking at her trustingly.
Hengxing felt his affectionate gaze and was much more at ease than before, no longer blushing.
Mr. Yu's attachment to her has not diminished; it seems the suspension bridge effect hasn't worn off yet, and he should rest for a few more days.
Yeah, it should be fine in a couple of days.
Upon reaching the cockpit, Hengxing adjusted the spaceship's destination.
Yu Nianqing found a chair and sat down. Due to lack of sleep and the shock, he was particularly tired today. He stretched and yawned.
Hengxing turned around and saw the shocking purplish-blue marks on his neck. Remembering that she had promised to help him apply the medicine, she walked over to him and reached out to ask him for the ointment.
Yu Nianqing handed her the small ointment.
Hengxing unscrewed the cap, circled his index finger on the surface, and after the ointment melted slightly, gently applied it to the bruises on his neck.
Yu Nianqing looked down at her well-defined fingers as they reached out to her, tilting her head slightly to make it easier for her to move.
"Captain Heng, why have you been saving money? With your current assets, you could buy a decent studio apartment on a medium-sized planet."
As he spoke, his throat vibrated slightly. Hengxing felt a tingling sensation in her fingertips, and she rubbed her fingers together discreetly before continuing to apply the ointment.
"I want to go home and visit, otherwise I can't settle down."
Once she had applied enough, she withdrew her hand, put the cap back on the ointment, and returned it to her.
Where?
"Keze Star".
"Didn't Keze Star disappear?"
Heng Xing was a little surprised, "You've heard of Ke Zexing?"
"Um."
In order to have common topics to discuss with the Marshal, Yu Nianqing used to read about the Marshal's life and experiences every day, and naturally learned about the origin of the Zerg invasion.
But every time she met the marshal, she would stare blankly at the scenery without saying a word.
This left him feeling frustrated, as if all his preparations had been in vain; he never expected that this knowledge point would come in handy here.
Yu Nianqing went back to her room to sleep, lying on the bed with her eyes closed.
As was his habit, he reflected on the day's events, and his conversation with Hengxing led him to think of the young marshal.
He had no feelings for the marshal; he neither disliked nor liked him.
When he first met the marshal, he tried his best to find topics to talk about, as Yu Yi had instructed, from the Zerg to war to literature. No matter what he said, the marshal would simply say "hmm" and not even look at him.
After chatting for half an hour, he got bored and started staring blankly at the scenery outside the window with her.
The next time they met, he didn't try to talk anymore. After finishing the task assigned by Yu Yi, he sat on the sofa and did his own thing. The marshal relaxed and sprawled next to him, staring blankly at the green plants, bubbling with joy.
The Marshal treated him slightly better than the other Omegas, probably because he was quiet and less annoying.
When the time for the date arrived, the Marshal would frown, pick up the untouched bitter tea or black coffee on the table, drink it all in one gulp, and then stand up and gentlemanly escort him out of the room.
After he boarded the aircraft, he turned around and walked slowly toward the crowd of people, as if heading to a graveyard, where he was overwhelmed by the flow of people and compliments.
Sometimes when he was bored, Yu Nianqing would think, was he more pitiful because he was forced to curry favor and serve others with his looks, or was the marshal, who clearly preferred quiet but was forced into social situations, more pitiful?
The marshal looked really unhappy.
Perhaps a marshal would prefer to travel the stars like Captain Heng rather than be a marshal.
As it turned out, he was right.
After Yu Nianqing went to sleep, Heng Xing randomly found a clean guest room in the spaceship. After lying on the mattress for half an hour without feeling sleepy, she decisively got up and stopped wasting time.
She hasn't slept for three days this time, and she's made progress again.
"I wonder if she'll evolve to the point where she doesn't need to sleep when she gets old," Hengxing thought, finding joy in hardship and remaining optimistic.
This spaceship will be disposed of in a few days, and it would be a waste not to move these things.
Hengxing took away the mattress, sheets, and pillows he had just been lying on, and even stood on the bedside table to remove the ceiling light.
When there was nothing left to move in the room, she moved a small stool onto the robot vacuum cleaner, then sat on it and began to tour the entire spaceship, taking away everything she liked, needed, and might use in the future.
A spare exhaust pump?
The old spaceship's parts are broken; dismantle them and take them with you!
A portrait hanging on the wall?
It can showcase an artistic flair; take it apart and leave with you!
Fixed-ground fitness equipment?
It can be used to store miscellaneous items later; disassemble it and take it with you!
She moved swiftly, like a locust swarm passing through, leaving nothing behind in her wake.
The next morning, after washing up, Yu Nianqing walked out of her room and fell silent as she looked at the bare corridor.
Where did the carpet go?
He had no doubt that if Hengxing were given a little more time, she could dismantle the iron plates on the ceiling and sell them as scrap.
