Chapter 27 You exploded too?

Chapter 27 You exploded too?

The next day, after Yu Nianqing finished washing up, he opened the door. The corridor outside was empty. He habitually turned around and walked towards the driver's seat. Heng Xing was indeed there. She was lying on the familiar mattress with a messy ball of yarn next to her.

Hearing footsteps, Hengxing sat up with her messy curly hair. She put down the iron skewer in her hand and reached out to tidy her fluffy curly hair. "Good morning, Mr. Yu. Did you sleep well last night?"

Yu Nianqing smiled and sat down next to her. "Not bad."

"What's this?" He noticed the unidentified object and ball of yarn next to Heng Xing. "Captain Heng, what are you doing?"

Looking at his utterly inadequate gift, Hengxing coughed awkwardly twice. "You gave me clothes yesterday, so I wanted to give you a gift in return. I thought about it carefully and realized that a scarf would be quite useful for you."

Hearing that she was knitting a scarf for herself as a gift, Yu Nianqing's eyes sparkled, showing a playful side that was more pronounced than usual.

Seeing his expectant eyes, Hengxing shyly showed him her finished product, "Sorry, I'm not very good at it."

Upon seeing the gift, Yu Nianqing remained silent for a few seconds before slowly speaking: "Captain Heng, for a beginner, this is actually not bad."

"Mr. Yu, you are very kind. Even in this situation, you still praise me."

Hengxing thought she could easily handle a scarf; she had often watched her father knit sweaters and thought it wasn't difficult, believing she had memorized the techniques. But when she actually tried, she discovered problems at every turn.

"You just didn't calculate the length properly or control the tightness of the yarn."

He took the iron skewer and began to demonstrate on the spot.

Hengxing sat close to him and watched him demonstrate.

Mr. Yu's technique was very skillful. The iron skewer that was dull and clumsy in her hands moved back and forth rhythmically in his hands. In just a few minutes, the irregular textiles that she had been working on for several hours had grown by nearly a quarter, and they were very neat, with each hole being the same size, like a hot-selling item that would be placed on the shelves of a handicraft store.

The two were very close, and Hengxing smelled the familiar scent of mint, instantly feeling relaxed and comfortable all over.

Yu Nianqing calculated the length and stopped when she was about halfway through. This time, she noticed that the person next to her hadn't spoken for a long time. Looking down, she found that the person was lying on her side asleep next to her.

He leaned down slightly to look at the sleeping Hengxing and noticed that the dark circles under her eyes were more pronounced than before.

So Captain Heng's dark circles weren't hereditary?

From the first time they met, Captain Heng had noticeable dark circles under her eyes, but she had a very regular daily routine and no bad habits, so Yu Nianqing assumed that her dark circles were hereditary.

Is it to knit him a scarf?

He smiled slightly, and while she was asleep, he stroked her curly hair, gently straightened a strand of hair, and then suddenly let go. The hair would bounce back onto her head, which was quite amusing.

Captain Heng could smell his sweet mint pheromones, indicating a high degree of pheromone compatibility between the two. Logically, he should also be able to smell her pheromones.

He leaned closer to her, and could only smell the rose-scented soap.

The cheapest soaps in the store are all rose-scented, which makes sense given Captain Heng's stingy nature. Thinking about this, I suddenly pictured Captain Heng, who dislikes rose scents, frowning as he rubbed rose-scented soap on himself, and I couldn't help but find it a little funny.

But the rose scent masked her pheromones, so she couldn't smell anything.

Yu Nianqing could only continue bending over.

Still nothing? Is it not close enough?

Then he...

"Mr. Yu, is there anything I can help you with?" Heng Xing suddenly opened his eyes and asked him groggily.

Yu Nianqing immediately sat up straight, brushing the hair that had fallen across her face behind her ears. She looked flustered and dared not look at the person on the mattress.

"Nothing, Captain Heng, why are your dark circles under your eyes getting worse?"

Hengxing rubbed his nose, rolled to the side twice, and stretched comfortably on the empty mattress.

"There's nothing I can do, it's an old problem."

“Then you should rest more.” Yu Nianqing continued knitting a scarf with her head down.

"I'm trying," Heng Xing said. "Mr. Yu, what perfume are you wearing today?"

He replied with a smile, "I'm not wearing perfume today."

Did Captain Heng smell his pheromones again?

"Oh." Hengxing lay down, fixing her hair, wanting to say something but not speaking.

In the end, the scarf Hengxing used as a gift was made by Yu Nianqing himself. Even so, he still happily wore it around his neck every day.

After finishing the scarf, he asked Hengxing for the remaining yarn and continued to knit on the mattress every day.

Hengxing, who had just woken up, asked, "Mr. Yu, what are you doing?"

Yu Nianqing: "I'm knitting a woolen hat."

Hengxing looked at his chin. "Mr. Yu, do you think knitting hats is fun?"

Yu Nianqing understood her unspoken meaning, "Captain Heng, if you're bored, you can find something to do."

"For example, you can play games. I remember there were two game pods in the game room."

"I don't like playing games," she said, but her actions betrayed her as she got up and headed to the game room.

Then, at noon the next day, she returned from the game room exhausted and earnestly told Yu Nianqing, who was still knitting a hat, "It's boring."

"Why would you find it boring? Don't Alphas usually like games where they pilot mechs and fight Zerg?" he asked, puzzled.

He had tried the game after hearing about it, and the initial screen showed the Zerg hiding in a dilapidated building.

Facing a bizarrely shaped enemy, before he could even raise his energy gun, his teammate swiftly stepped forward and decapitated the Zergling with a single strike. The spurting liquid splashed all over him, a sticky, thick, light-colored liquid running down his forehead. Disgusted, he immediately quit the game and never participated again.

Heng Xing thought for a moment and replied, "It's very fake."

"It feels very superficial. Although everything is done very realistically, I still feel that it's all fake, and I can't get excited about it."

"And most games have to be purchased separately, so I decided to find something that doesn't cost money to do," Hengxing added.

She reopened the spaceship operation video she had hastily watched a few days ago and decided to watch it carefully from beginning to end.

A few days later, Yu Nianqing repaired the two woolen hats and began to try knitting cardigans.

Heng Xing also watched all the videos related to this type of spaceship and mastered the spaceship piloting skills. When she couldn't sleep at night, she would switch the spaceship's autopilot to manual and recklessly race between stars.

Therefore, sometimes when Yu Nianqing woke up in the morning and checked the navigation, he would find that the spaceship had suddenly moved forward a lot or inexplicably deviated from its course.

When he first discovered it, he nervously ran to the cockpit to find Captain Heng and ask for clarification. Now he can calmly watch her speed through the spaceship, his hand still busy with the iron skewer.

We arrived at Keze Star several days earlier than scheduled.

In terms of size, Keze Star was a medium-sized planet, with two smaller, subordinate planets around it, both of which were destroyed along with Keze Star.

Upon arriving at the former site of Keze Star, Hengxing shut down the engine, leaving the spaceship to drift in the deep darkness of space.

The spacecraft can automatically detect obstacles within a kilometer radius and has the ability to issue an automatic alarm, so she is not worried about the spacecraft colliding with any space debris.

"Captain Heng, are you alright?"

After arriving here, Hengxing didn't say a single word.

She moved a chair to the window, sat down, and stared blankly ahead.

"It's okay, I'll watch for a while longer," she replied, her voice low and hoarse.

"Mr. Yu, could you leave me alone for a while?"

"Okay, see you tomorrow." Yu Nianqing took the sleeve he was half-knitting back to his room. When he reached the driver's side door, he turned and glanced at Heng Xing. Her forehead was pressed against the window, so his expression was not clear, and she looked listless.

"Captain Heng, what's past is past, we have to look forward." He offered her a dry word of comfort, then turned and left.

Hengxing sat by the window all night, looking at the past and thinking about the future.

At 8:30 the next day, footsteps sounded behind me, approaching from afar.

Heng Xing greeted the owner of the footsteps as usual, "Good morning, Mr. Yu, did you sleep well last night?"

"It's alright, Captain Heng. Do you want to be alone and quiet today?" Yu Nianqing sat on the mattress and started knitting the other sleeve of her sweater.

"No need, let's go." Hengxing pulled the chair back in front of the control panel.

Yu Nianqing: "As we discussed before, are we going to see Professor Wen in Yula Star?"

"Hmm." Hengxing restarted the engine, selected manual piloting mode, and the spaceship turned around and left after making a small circle.

But she felt a little reluctant to leave, so she decided to take a look around the small planets around Koze Star that hadn't been destroyed.

I don't know when I'll be able to come again.

"This little planet is beautiful; the green on its surface is even a gradient," Yu Nianqing said, looking down from the viewing window.

"This one? Yes, it is. Back in high school, our grade organized an extracurricular activity here." The spaceship gradually approached the ground. "Look, that's the special extracurricular activity base across the river."

Hengxing enthusiastically recounted, "I remember that afternoon, I hit a little rabbit with a slingshot there, and then our class had a barbecue together by the river."

Yu Nianqing asked her with a smile, "Does everyone in your class only eat one rabbit?"

After speaking for a while, Hengxing did not reply.

He looked at her questioningly. "What's wrong?"

Heng Xing controlled the spaceship to descend. "Mr. Yu, look, aren't there black things emerging from the grass by the river?"

Omega's farsightedness isn't as good as Alpha's, so Yu Nianqing couldn't see anything.

Isn't it all lush and green?

Hengxing frowned. What was that?

A black dot was constantly moving in the grass by the stream, and it was gradually getting bigger.

Hengxing felt this scene was familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere before.

Images raced through my mind, my aimless thoughts finally settling on an unfamiliar scene.

The loosely packed crowd, the ground dotted with black spots, and the onlookers positioned high above.

here it is……

The port of Koze Star!

"wrong!"

Hengxing immediately pressed the energy acceleration button, and the spaceship turned around in mid-air and sped away from the planet's surface.

What's wrong?

Yu Nianqing was puzzled.

Captain Heng looked very anxious and couldn't answer his question for the moment.

He could only look back through the window, trying to discern something from that piece of land.

As the spaceship moved further away from the planet, he miraculously saw the black dot she had mentioned.

Or rather, it's not a black mark.

It's a giant black insect beast!

"Captain Heng, was that an insectoid beast? Are we far enough away now?"

Weren't the Zerg driven away? How come we're seeing Zerg beasts within the Empire's borders?

"Not enough, still not enough," Heng Xing said, his eyes fixed on the screen.

The spaceship was still moving away from the small planet at top speed.

Yu Nianqing turned around, wanting to see how far the spaceship was from the small planet.

As he turned around, bright cracks suddenly appeared on the surface of the small planet, and then the entire planet shattered into pieces, bursting out with dazzling light.

The bright light stung him so much that he couldn't help but close his eyes. Suddenly, he heard a few whispers in his ear.

"Am I cursed?"
