132. Bruce's line: who tells your story

Nightwing seemed to be shocked by the situation when he arrived, but soon, he secretly gave a thumbs up to the farmer while taking the struggling Harley away. What was waiting for her was Arkham Asylum.

Before the police arrived, only Aria and Bruce Wayne were left here.

Time seems to have stopped here.

It was not until this moment that the farmer realized that not only was his health at the bottom, but his energy bar was also almost empty.

There had never been a moment so urgent that made her ignore her own conditions, but it was all clearly worth it.

"Bruce!"

She looked back at Wayne with some relief, but found that his face was as gloomy as water.

Bruce Wayne squatted down and just looked at the Joker - as if he too had been infected by the plague.

Aria didn't quite understand, but the farmer vaguely knew that he had made Wayne unhappy.

This situation was a completely different feeling from knowing that Batman would definitely be angry. She couldn't explain it herself, but Aria felt that she should go to Wayne.

So she began to move towards him at a very slow pace - her stamina bar was almost depleted, and Aria hadn't experienced this snail's pace for a long time.

If you move any more, you might pass out.

Bruce Wayne was apparently also aware of her physical condition.

"Don't move."

Bruce Wayne whispered instructions, then he stood up and completed the remaining half of the journey.

it's over.

This was the first thought that came to Wayne's mind.

Like a Möbius strip, his story with the Joker begins at the ACE Chemical Plant. In the middle, there is a lot of blood, and new and old grudges are twisted into a rope that is always around Batman's neck. Now it is cut off by Aria and ends at the ACE Chemical Plant.

He had thought that she couldn't be allowed to cross this line, otherwise even Batman couldn't predict where the farmer would eventually slide into.

But when Aria restrained her smile and came closer to him with eager eyes, Wayne realized that perhaps the guidance method was in his hands from the beginning.

...He let her do whatever she wanted and let her shoulder her own fate.

Therefore, he should bear the responsibility for her future fate.

"Mr. Wayne, Mr. Wayne..."

Aria's hair was a mess, but she didn't care at all: "Batman is going to tell me about this, please don't be angry with me anymore..."

She rubbed her eyes: "Otherwise I really want to cry."

No movement.

It seems that this trick is no longer effective on the hard-hearted baby Brucie. The farmer sobbed twice in the air and was worrying about how to make Wayne smile again.

A solid hug came up.

Wayne held her tightly in his arms, as if she were the treasure that had been found.

Aria asked, "Bruce? Mr. Wayne?"

She could feel the muscles under Bruce Wayne's shirt undulating with his breathing, as if he had simply made a decision.

The farmer had no idea what exactly made the decision—she was already exhausted, and now she felt a little dizzy from being held, feeling like she was about to see her grandfather...

No! Before you pass out, there's one very important thing to do!

"Bruce, can I lean on you and rest for a while?"

She hadn't even experienced Wayne's lap pillow yet! The farmer had originally envisioned it as a reward for Wayne's rescue...

"good."

There was no expected back-and-forth confrontation, but Bruce Wayne actually agreed?

"Bruce," she lowered her head, and now it was the farmer's turn to feel embarrassed, "I'm going to stain your pants."

"It's okay." Bruce Wayne helped her lie down slowly. Was this also part of the decision he had just made?

Aria had many more questions to ask, but she was so tired.

So the farmer lay down and gently rested his head on Bruce Wayne.

He must have exercised frequently, and the pillow felt like a piece of hard wood, but Bruce Wayne quickly realized this and relaxed his muscles, so her head rested on a slightly softer pillow.

He patted Aria's back gently. Maybe he should sing some soothing songs at this time, but that was a bit too difficult for Wayne.

He had no choice but to say, "Go to sleep, good boy."

Bruce knew she couldn't really rest this way, but Wayne was willing to cooperate.

This may be a rare moment for farmers to get close to ordinary people.

No matter where you are, you always need a good dream.

"Can I come see you tomorrow?" she asked.

"I promise that I'll be the first one you see when you wake up."

"If it's a nightmare, can I tell you?"

"You won't have nightmares."

"Well, goodnight, Bruce." Aria's voice gradually became lower and lower, until at the end she almost muttered: "...Give me ten minutes...just."

The farmer closed his eyes peacefully, as if he were really asleep.
