"Why."
In the empty hall, only a helpless sigh remained.
On Earth, Wanda erected layers of magical protective shields in front of herself, then opened another spatial portal and stepped inside.
This is an island roughly the size of a football field. Various kinds of fish occasionally dart across the island, and various plankton live on it.
In the center of this island lay a person dressed in rags.
"You're here again." Loki lay on the ground, looking up at Wanda flying towards him, a bitter smile on his face.
Wanda's expression shifted from the smile she had shown Frigga in Asgard to a chilling, icy coldness. She looked down at Loki as if he were an insignificant blade of grass. But she said nothing to Loki's words, simply standing there, looking down at him.
"Thanks to your daily energy supply, I'm still alive here." Loki looked at Wanda, his eyes devoid of resentment and pain. At this moment, his gaze was only indifferent, as if he had lost even the most basic perception of all things.
A year ago, he was transformed into an ordinary person by Gel. When the two siblings placed him on this island, they also added several layers of magical defense shields to him that could last for a long time. These magical defense shields made him disappear from Heimdall's all-seeing eye.
Therefore, he had no way to ask Heimdall for help.
For a year, he was unable to move and could only curl up here, looking at the scenery around him. The only person he could see each day was Wanda, but Wanda never spoke to him, only gave him a burst of energy, enough to keep him alive until the next day.
This also means that he doesn't even need the most basic food and drink; he just needs to stay there and rely on the energy he needs to sustain him until the next day.
For a whole year, if he hadn't been mentally strong, he probably would have gone insane long ago.
But even if he wasn't insane, he was close to it by now, because he had been living like this for a whole year—and he had already chewed over those resentments, pains, and even self-reflections a million times in his heart.
If he could do it all over again, he would never have caused so much trouble. He would have stayed by Frigga's side and been a good son.
Unfortunately, nothing can be undone.
"How much longer am I supposed to stay here?" Loki asked, staring blankly at Wanda.
However, all he received in response was Wanda's energy supply and her indifferent departure, as always.
