Chapter 143 Wanda vs. Hela
Wanda and Vision rolled several times on the ground, crushing many of the surrounding stone slabs before finally stopping.
"Vision."
Wanda stared at the wounds on Vision's body, her anger growing stronger—Hela's longsword carried an incredible sharpness, capable of breaking through even Vision's defenses, and Vision's appearance seemed to be affected by the longsword's energy, his wounds failing to heal for a while, and his body trembling involuntarily.
Wanda supported Vision's body with one hand, and with the other hand slightly outstretched, she channeled chaos magic into Vision's wounds. After a moment, the mangled wounds slowly healed, and the pain on Vision's face eased slightly.
"Thor, bring me that thing from the vault," Wanda said to Thor, her voice laced with chilling coldness. Odin himself had sealed the vaults of Asgard, and even Wanda's spatial magic couldn't directly break the seal to access the items within.
Thor glanced at Wanda, then at Hela, and without hesitation, transformed into a bolt of lightning and flew towards the vaults of Asgard.
Hela merely watched the three men's actions with a mocking expression, making no attempt to stop them—given her current power, no matter how much they struggled, it was only a matter of whether they died sooner or later. As long as they remained in Asgard, they had no hope of escape.
"Are you ready to face your destiny?" Seemingly dissatisfied with the wait, Hela, holding two longswords, slowly walked towards Wanda.
Wanda stopped healing, reached back and pulled Vision's body away from the battlefield, enveloped in chaos magic. Wanda slowly rose, her fingers flicking slightly, two dense, almost impenetrable gray energies surging at her fingertips. Wanda blinked her crimson eyes, her face filled with rage: "How dare you hurt him!"
"boom!"
Wanda walked towards Hela step by step, her hands waving repeatedly, sending bursts of gray energy hurtling towards Hela. Hela swung her weapons, smashing Wanda's energy balls, but the force contained within made her hands go numb, and in the end, she was forced to retreat step by step!
Hela, watching Wanda's fury, became even more certain of her earlier guess—it was definitely chaotic energy! After all, the strength of chaotic energy is directly proportional to the host's anger; the stronger the host, the stronger the chaotic energy. Otherwise, Wanda would never have experienced such a powerful energy surge compared to before.
Hela stood firmly on the ground, desperately absorbing the power from Asgard. Her steps gradually stabilized, allowing her to stand still.
"Host of Chaos Energy, you deserve my serious attention." Hela shouted, raising her hands forcefully upwards. Then, longswords cleaved through the ground, stabbing fiercely towards Wanda in the center. Each of these swords was hundreds of meters long, resembling a mountain of swords, extremely terrifying.
Wanda tilted her head back slightly, raised her hands slightly, and her body, enveloped in chaotic energy, flew rapidly into the sky. The huge swords around her were left behind, as were the ground of Asgard and the distant mountains.
A moment later, Wanda hovered in mid-air, looking down at everything around her. Then she clasped her hands together slightly, and her body transformed into nine figures, surrounding Hela in the very center.
"The undying fire, carried by the winds of freedom, will bring the cruelest destruction." Wanda's voice seemed to come from the heavens, devoid of any emotion.
The nine figures simultaneously pressed down slightly with their right hands, and a tangible gray energy surged rapidly downwards. A ball of flame suddenly ignited from below, and a howling wind blew past the flames, transforming into a dense tornado that swept the flames around.
The longswords stained with these flames turned into specks of fire that merged into the fire tornado, and then the flames grew stronger and stronger.
The surrounding temperature instantly became extremely hot. Scattered sparks fell to the ground, leaving deep craters. Hela flicked her arm slightly, and a longsword as large as a giant mountain rose into the sky from beneath her, accompanied by a burst of green energy. Hela stood on the hilt of the longsword and flew rapidly into the sky. With a shake of her hands, countless colossal longswords that blotted out the sky pierced towards Wanda's nine figures in the air!
Nine longswords were embedded in the fiery tornado. Although the fiery tornado quickly melted the outer edges of the longswords, the area of the longswords was too large, and even if they were melted, it would not be able to be completely eliminated in a short time.
Wanda's nine figures flickered and then appeared in other places, but Wanda's movements did not stop at all. She slightly raised her hands, and candles appeared in various corners outside the fire tornado. These candles lit up out of thin air, with flickering candlelight. Although these candlelights were inconspicuous in front of the nearby fire tornado, Wanda looked at these candlelights and showed a proud smile on her face.
Immediately afterwards, Wanda pressed her hands down heavily, and candles flew rapidly toward the ground like falling meteors. As they fell, strange characters appeared beneath the candles, descending with them.
The candles fell faster and faster, and the strange writing beneath them grew larger and larger. Eventually, many of the writings touched and merged together. As more and more writings merged, the number of individual characters below decreased, while each strange character grew larger and larger.
Hela stood atop the giant sword, simultaneously unleashing more and more swords at Wanda's phantom. Through the fiery tornado, her gaze fell upon the words outside.
