Chapter Twenty-Six: Numerous Magical Secrets

"General Introduction to the Foundations of Magic" explains a lot of basic knowledge about magic, and also interweaves many people and history related to magic.

Perhaps this book was written by one of the Sorcerers Supreme of Kamar-Taj, which is why much of the content is related to Kamar-Taj. At the beginning of the book, Gel saw the Vishanti that the Ancient One had just mentioned.

"Vishanti is a triune god composed of three ancient gods: the omnipotent Oshit, the all-seeing Agamotto, and the aged Hogs."

The following content provides a general introduction to the three gods of Vishanti, but there is one section that Ger paid special attention to.

"Disciples of Kamar-Taj can borrow mana from the Vishanti through items inscribed with 'Rent Mana' runes—whether rings or other vessels—to use magic. Becoming a disciple of Kamar-Taj requires a certain level of magical talent." The following text describes the situation of Kamar-Taj mages. After borrowing mana, they must cultivate to return it doubled. Of course, they can also store magic within themselves through cultivation, but only those with sufficiently high talent can accumulate enough magical energy to break free from the sling ring—the tool for borrowing mana—and freely cast spells. Such individuals can also borrow even more mana through the sling ring.

In other words, Casillas wasn't strong enough just now, which is why he couldn't escape the suspension ring.

As for the Ancient One, Gel guessed that he could have been freed from the Summoning Ring long ago.

Soon, Gel found an introduction to chaos magic in the book.

"Three ancient forces exist in the universe: Chaos Magic, Phoenix Power, and Fairy Power. Chaos Magic, the progenitor of all magic, is the oldest and most independent form of magic. It is the burning of an impossible, strange life force and the primordial light of the universe's earliest chance events and cognition. It represents infinite possibilities within good and evil, within pure creation and destruction, within the wheel of life and death, or everything beyond them. Phoenix Power..."

Although I recognize each word individually, it's a bit difficult to understand when they're put together.

However, some of the keywords, such as "representing infinite possibilities," resonated deeply with Gel: the power of chaos magic is almost all-encompassing, whether it be void creation, mind magic, flight, or control.

Even though he lacked some abilities, Geer felt it was because his strength was too low, which temporarily prevented him from activating the corresponding abilities of Chaos Magic.

The Phoenix Force—Gale remembered it as Jean Grey's power in X-Men—but as for the Fairy Force, he had absolutely no recollection of it.

Gel flipped through the pages again, looking for more information about chaos magic. After all, he himself wasn't entirely clear about his own abilities.

Fortunately, there is more content about chaos magic later on.

“Chaos magic can absorb all the energy in the universe to grow stronger. Anger allows the host of chaos magic to develop their abilities most quickly and advance them to the greatest extent. Therefore, when a person with chaos magic appears, they will inevitably bring one disaster after another.” Gel sighed as he recalled the various deeds of the Scarlet Witch in the movies and even comics.

He wanted to give Wanda a happy childhood so that she could develop the ability to distinguish right from wrong before using magic, and not become a terrifying "anti-hero." That's why Gale always restrained Wanda and Pietro from using superpowers when they were young.

Hopefully, neither he nor Wanda will need to use anger to advance their abilities throughout their lives.

As he read, Gehr found something that interested him. It used the abilities and weapons of the Kamar-Taj sorcerers as examples to introduce a great deal of knowledge.

"Magic artifacts can be used to aid apprentices who are not yet proficient in magic in combat and defense by engraving corresponding magic into their weapons." Gel put down the book, pondering its potential uses. If possible, could it be engraved on Iron Man suits or weapons, allowing someone like Tony who doesn't know magic to use it?

Combining technology and magic sounds like an interesting and challenging thing.

If that's really the case, then we should definitely make several sets of corresponding battle suits, one for each person around us. We could even customize a unique battle suit for each individual based on their abilities.

The world he lives in isn't a movie, and Peter and his crew aren't Captain America, who can force a 50/50 fight. With their abilities, they might be able to handle dangers from Earth, but against someone like Thanos, they probably wouldn't even be able to get close.

Dangels sighed. There wasn't enough time!

Next, Gel noticed two spells that particularly interested him: "Astral Projection" and "Mirror Dimension." Astral Projection, as the name suggests, allows the soul and body to separate and exist independently. Mirror Dimension, on the other hand, is one of the most commonly used spells by Kamar-Taj sorcerers. It's a space independent of reality; everything that happens within Mirror Dimension doesn't affect the real world and possesses extremely high independence and secrecy. It can be used for training, monitoring reality, or even to evade enemies.

"The Book of Vishanti, the Dark Book?" Gel suddenly spotted two books that instantly piqued his interest. The Dark Book—Gel remembered it as a magical book with an extremely dark and alluring appeal, possessing an original and numerous copies. In *Doctor Strange 2*, it influenced Wanda, causing her to fall into a demonic trance, and also led many other Doctors of Strange from various multiverses into darkness. But equally undeniably, it was an extremely powerful book. If Gel remembered correctly, its original was located in the Himalayas.
