The sliver of light leaking from under the iron gate, mixed with the fiery red glow emanating from Natasha's body, made the pain on her face extremely conspicuous.
Seeing Natasha struggling to suppress her pain, Pietro decided to do as she said. He believed Natasha must have her reasons.
Pietro turned his gaze back to the thick iron gate, channeling his energy and placing his palm against it.
In an instant, the steel in the part of the palm that was in contact with the metal melted into molten iron.
"How much have your abilities increased? Besides being able to melt steel, what other properties have you gained after being injected with their serum? And what inside information have you heard? Tell me everything." Natasha forced out these words through gritted teeth. Whether she was numb from the pain or the most painful stage of the adaptation process had passed, she surprisingly didn't feel as much pain.
“My strength has increased many times over. Although it can’t compare to the Hulk, it’s definitely far superior to Peter’s. My speed has also increased significantly, but compared to my strength, the increase isn’t as terrifying. The biggest changes are probably in my defense and regeneration. I think ordinary explosions can’t hurt me now, and even if they can, I can recover quickly.” Pietro said to Natasha while melting the iron gate, and even deliberately not using his full speed ability so that Natasha could hear him clearly.
"And when the researchers came over, they said that I was the one who had the best fusion with the serum at this stage, followed by two people called Winter Soldier. However, this kind of experiment is not easy to succeed. I heard from the researchers that the proportion of agents who died suddenly from body explosions during the experiment was much higher." Although he had never seen one, he had heard the sound of an explosion, which was deafening and made him feel terrified just thinking about it.
Natasha slowly closed her eyes—back when the Hulk's blood was stolen, she had been worried that a small portion of it might have been smuggled away through other means.
Based on what Pietro just said, this speculation is very likely true.
Furthermore, the experiment is still in its early stages. If any of the captured individuals cannot withstand the serum's modifications and die, then...
The other end of the iron gate.
"You two, hand these walkie-talkies over to the Winter Soldier and the Agent later."
"The rest of you, stay with me and guard the door."
The agents at the front assigned tasks as they walked toward the iron gate separating the two areas.
Suddenly, he frowned and looked toward the iron gate—there seemed to be an unusual noise coming from there.
When he confirmed that there was indeed an unusual noise coming from the iron gate, he immediately raised his gun and shouted, "Something's wrong! Prepare to fire!"
"Bang!"
Suddenly, the thick iron door was pulled open with a loud bang.
"Are you stupid to use bullets against me?" Pietro looked at the crowd with their guns raised and curled his lip.
It's no exaggeration to say that these agents wouldn't even have the chance to bend a finger in front of him.
Pietro quickly activated his speed ability and walked towards the agents. In his line of sight, he could see all the agents standing there "dumbly," some of their guns not fully raised, slowly lifting at a speed slower than a tortoise.
Of course, the movement of everything around him is the same.
The dust in the sky was almost still, and the hem of everyone's clothes fluttered in an eerie arc as they moved.
Pietro even had the leisure to kick each of them hard in the buttocks as he pulled out their walkie-talkies and took their guns.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
From Natasha's perspective, she had only just seen Pietro disappear before her eyes when all the agents flew into the darkness. Moments later, muffled thuds echoed from the darkness.
“Sister Natasha, I’m going to continue.” Pietro waved to Natasha, then looked around at all the rooms in the area.
When he encountered communication equipment and weapons, he would hide them. When he saw people, he would "invite" them out of the area and kick them into the darkness.
Even the researchers in their white coats were knocked unconscious by Pietro without any mercy.
These people have caused him so much suffering; it's too lenient of him not to kill them.
Then, Pietro helped Natasha to the computer: "Sister Natasha, are you alright?"
“Of course.” Natasha looked at the computer in front of her, a smile appearing on her face. “However, I might need you to keep the agents outside occupied. We must not let them get close to this area.”
Having endured so much pain and lurked for so long, wasn't it all for this moment?
"The more capable you are, the more work you should do," Pietro said jokingly, but his expression became extremely serious. "How long do you need?"
Natasha typed rapidly on the keyboard, gritting her teeth as she said, "Please try to buy me at least two minutes. I'll do it as soon as possible."
Pietro nodded, then walked step by step towards the door.
If he wants to evade pursuit in this underground space, it's impossible for others to catch him. But if he wants to stop people from coming over, it will be much more difficult.
After all, he had been brainwashed earlier than Natasha and had witnessed other agents using similar methods while pretending to be brainwashed.
Here are dozens of agents who, like him, have successfully undergone rehabilitation!
It's important to know that after being modified, their additional abilities go beyond just being able to generate astonishing amounts of heat.
