It's fair to say that Wanda completely lost to him this time.
“Do you remember a few days ago? I activated my speed ability…” Pietro continued, but subconsciously felt something was wrong. He looked up and saw that Ger had put the bowl in his hand aside and was looking at him with a serious expression.
Pietro knew exactly what that look meant, and he couldn't help but shiver, realizing that he had gotten a little carried away.
Pietro glanced at Wanda furtively, and seeing her somewhat dejected expression, he lowered his head and whispered, "I'm sorry, Wanda."
Wanda just kept eating without saying a word.
Pietro scratched his head and quickly changed the subject: "Brother, did you go see Tony and the others?"
More than a week has passed since the military court delivered its verdict. Despite the solid evidence, Tony, Potts, Natasha, and Rogers were, after all, under Hydra's control, and were therefore sentenced to two years in Raft Prison.
As for Dr. Kurt and Dr. Stern, their crimes have been compounded, and they will both have to spend decades in Raft Prison.
To prevent any unforeseen incidents from happening to the six, Ger secretly placed some tracking magic marks on them, so he naturally knew exactly where the raft prison was.
Gel shook his head: "I'm not planning to go there yet. Tony asked me not to go beforehand. So I plan to let them calm down in prison for a while before I go to see them."
Just as Gerr knew Tony well, Tony knew Gerr just as well—he knew Gerr wouldn't let them stay in prison like that. And, if Gerr wanted to, there was no place on Earth he couldn't reach. So Tony told Gerr beforehand not to go to the prison and disturb them.
"How is Gwen?" Pietro continued to ask. Seeing that Wanda was still eating by herself, he could only hope to divert Wanda's attention with a topic that she was more interested in.
"Gwen seems to be doing well so far," Gerr replied.
Under Ger's mind magic, Kurt and Stern have revealed all the secrets of the Extremis Serum and have also forgotten everything about it. Unless a powerful force brings them out of Raft Prison and forces them to start researching from scratch, it's unlikely they'll be able to develop something similar to the Extremis Serum.
Of course, Ger could not allow the previous situation to continue, so he placed a tracking magic mark on both of them, so that Ger could quickly find them even if they went missing.
With all the information on the Extremis Serum, Tony, before going to prison, had already worked with Banner and Betty to develop a supplement that was more suitable for Gwen, and injected her with it.
After several days of observation, Gwen is doing very well and her abilities have improved significantly.
Ger and Pietro chatted and ate. Wanda, however, remained silent, eating her meal in quiet contemplation.
"Brother, I've finished eating. I want to go take a nap." A moment later, Wanda put down her chopsticks, stood up sullenly, and said to Gel.
Pietro, wanting to make amends, immediately smiled and said to Wanda, "Go take a nap, I'll take care of things here."
Gel was a little reluctant: "Wanda, once I'm done with this busy period, I'll modify Carnage's consciousness and then give Carnage to you. I heard from Venom that Carnage's amplification ability is even stronger than his. With Carnage around, your abilities will definitely surpass Pietro's, and then you can give Pietro a good beating."
Pietro feigned helplessness: "Brother, why are you so biased towards Wanda? You insist on letting Wanda beat me up."
"Thank you, brother." Gel's words did not seem to cheer Wanda up. She kept her head down and walked towards her room, letting her light golden hair fall down and cover most of her face.
Gel watched Wanda's retreating figure, but couldn't find any better words of comfort.
Wanda has always been sensitive. Like Pietro, she hadn't been able to use the Time Stone to enhance her powers, so she wasn't particularly unhappy about it.
This time, however, only she in the family was weak, and the enemies they encountered seemed to be getting stronger. Wanda's current abilities, without using combined chaos magic, were indeed insufficient.
As Pietro said, even if Carnage could enhance Wanda's abilities, it would only increase her strength and speed, and would have no effect on Wanda's chaos magic, which is not what Wanda wants at all.
"squeak."
Wanda gently closed the door, then lay down on the bed and quietly stared at the ceiling.
The half-drawn curtains blocked half of the sunlight streaming through the window, creating a clear dividing line in the middle of the room.
Wanda heard Ger and Pietro go back to their rooms after cleaning up the kitchen, and then she sighed heavily, but showed no intention of going to sleep.
Time slowly passed, but Wanda's expression didn't relax; instead, it became even more pained. After thinking for a moment, Wanda walked out of the room, left a note on the table, then opened a portal and stepped inside.
As the sun gradually moved, the sunlight shining into the kitchen changed from intense to gentle.
"Da da".
Footsteps sounded from Geer's room. Geer pushed open the door and looked at the clock in the living room: "I actually took a two-hour nap."
Normally, Ge'er wakes up automatically after an hour of sleep. This time, his biological clock is a bit messed up; it seems he's been too busy lately.
With a helpless smile, Ge Er went to the table and made himself a cup of tea.
"What's this?" Ger saw a note on the table, picked it up and read it. "Brother, I've been too busy lately and haven't been able to relax in a long time, so I'm planning to go out and have some fun for a while. You and Pietro don't need to worry about me. And I'll take good care of myself as you taught me, so don't worry."
