On a deserted green mountain outside Jinling, a spatial door that was at least two meters high suddenly appeared. A moment later, Ge Er slowly walked out of it and floated in mid-air.
Looking around, Gerl breathed a sigh of relief at the empty surroundings—thankfully, the location was similar to his previous life, and hardly anyone came here, so opening the spatial portal here went unnoticed.
A gentle spring breeze blew from afar, carrying a refreshing coolness that calmed Ger's anxious heart. Standing high in the sky, Ger gazed into the distance and saw fields of green wheat rippling in the wind, exactly as he remembered them.
Upon arriving here, Geer's heart began to race again. He remained invisible and flew rapidly towards the former family's location.
"I have to be there," Ger murmured, taking a deep breath.
Finally, after more than ten minutes, Geer approached the place he remembered.
In the distance, Ger saw a two-story building with a yard. The building seemed to be newly built; the white walls on the outside looked very clean and bright. The second floor was not even fully renovated yet, and from the outside, you could see a pile of sand and gravel in the outermost room on the second floor.
Compared to the various residential buildings around it, this building appears extremely ordinary.
But the moment he saw the building, Geer's heart pounded so hard it felt like it was going to jump out of his chest, and his eyes even welled up with tears.
This building is exactly the same as his home in his previous life.
Slowly landing in the courtyard, Ger looked around with a mix of trepidation and excitement.
Their main gate is in front of the yard. To the east of the yard is a small kitchen, and to the right is a wall. In the middle of the yard, besides the paved cement road, there is a small patch of land.
Geer remembered that in her previous life, her mother planted a peach tree here, as well as many scallions and green vegetables.
Every autumn, he would look forward to the peaches on the peach tree ripening quickly. Although the peaches at home were not as sweet as those outside, knocking the peaches off the tree every autumn was something he enjoyed doing very much.
After looking around, Geer went into the building at the back of the courtyard.
There are three rooms on the first floor. In his previous life, his room was the largest, with windows facing south. Although his parents' room was on the same side as his, it was actually smaller than his room.
The dining table is placed in a corner. Every time it's mealtime, the family brings their food there to eat and chat.
That happy life seemed so ordinary back then, but now it's gone forever.
With trepidation, Geer pushed open the door to his parents' room and went inside. When he saw the framed photo on the bedside table, he couldn't help but tear up: there were four people in the photo, a couple standing in front of two boys of different heights.
The couple looked exactly like his parents in his previous life.
Although it's not the world he lives in anymore, and his parents are no longer his parents, thankfully, they still exist in the same form.
However, in his previous life, Geer was an only child, but in this life, his parents have two children.
But where are your parents now?
When Ge'er returned, he passed by his family's fields, but his parents weren't busy farming. Besides, it was school time, so there was no way his parents would take him to the city to see the flowers.
Somewhat puzzled, Geer flew outside and then began searching in mid-air.
Soon, Gerr's gaze fell upon the entrance of a school, where there was a boy who looked exactly like the taller boy in the photograph.
At that moment, the boy and his companion had just walked out of the school gate and were chatting happily.
"Wei Nianlin, are you going to the internet cafe again today?" A slightly chubby boy asked Wei Nianlin while eating a spicy snack.
"Of course I'll go. I still have things to do. My parents went to the city and won't be back until very late, so I'll definitely take advantage of this time to go online as much as possible." Wei Nianlin took out a dollar from his pocket and handed it to the aunt at the nearby convenience store. "Auntie, I'd like an ice pop."
The two ate as they walked toward the internet cafe.
Ger, suspended in mid-air, seemed to ponder: "Wei Nianlin? That's different from my name in my previous life."
In his previous life, Ge'er's name was Wei Nianpan, and he was already eighteen years old at this time, about to face the college entrance examination. But this Wei Nianlin looked to be only thirteen or fourteen years old, and his school uniform was still the style of a junior high school uniform.
It seems that parents in this world have children much later in life.
Soon, the two entered the internet cafe, and Ger followed them in.
Upon entering the internet cafe, a choking cloud of smoke hit you. The entire internet cafe was like a "fairyland," shrouded in mist. Looking inside, Ge Er saw several teenagers smoking.
"Boss, the space bar on your keyboard is broken. Do you have a new keyboard?" The shout, seemingly coming from nowhere, echoed throughout the entire internet cafe.
A young man sitting at the front desk also cursed, "How come the space bar is broken again? I don't know how many keyboards have broken this week."
After cursing, the young man shouted back into the room, "Just make do with this for now, the new keyboard hasn't arrived yet."
This memory felt strangely familiar, yet also so distant. For some reason, Geer felt a strange urge to laugh.
Wei Nianlin stood in front of the counter and shouted to the people behind the counter: "Give us two machines, two hours each."
As he spoke, he threw the money on the counter.
