Chapter 110 The Overcrowded Raft Prison

Even more shocking was that within a single day, many villas inexplicably caught fire, and all the people inside emerged unharmed from the outside, while the villas were burned to ashes.

These villas were not just one or two, but thousands of them. From the exterior buildings to the underground basements, nothing was spared; they were all burned to the ground.

Well-informed media outlets quickly traced the connections between the burned villas and the arrested individuals, finding that they were all linked to the nuclear explosion three days prior.

As a result, the clamor of public criticism finally found an outlet, and they cheered for the Scarlet Witch.

The people on Manhattan Island, in particular, were extremely grateful to the Scarlet Witch—those who had been holding positions without doing their jobs had finally received the punishment they deserved.

In the end, whether due to immense public pressure or the power of the Scarlet Witch, governments around the world directly admitted that all those involved in the nuclear explosion, including their families, had disappeared and been taken away by the Scarlet Witch.

This event ended so dramatically, and the whole world was shaken by the nuclear incident, the white wizard's use of time magic, and the Scarlet Witch's kidnapping incident.

January, February...

As time passed, the incident gradually ceased to be the focus of everyone's discussion, and it seemed as if the incident had completely passed.

But everyone knows that the impact of this event will last for a very long time.

The upheaval caused by the sudden disappearances of those people, and the shadow cast by nuclear weapons on the hearts of people around the world, are like a stubborn ailment hidden in people's hearts, which may bring a hidden pain at any time, and bring unpredictable changes to the world at any time.

Finally, a year passed, and before we knew it, it was April 2013.

During this year, the world enjoyed unprecedented peace, with even wars between nations decreasing significantly. Occasionally, other individuals with special abilities would appear to cause trouble, but they were usually suppressed and disappeared by the Scarlet Witch before they could cause any real harm.

In the end, all the newly emerged superhumans simply disappeared, no longer daring to cause trouble.

"Wanda, how is Gol?" Frigga asked Wanda with concern.

In just one year, Wanda transformed from an innocent little girl into the serious and unsmiling woman she is today. Even when she does smile, it's a shallow smile that doesn't reach her heart.

Frigga knew that Wanda was overly worried about Gel. She had tried to comfort her, but it was largely to no avail.

Wanda looked at Frigga and gently stroked her hand, like an innocent child touching their mother's hand. At this moment, a faint smile finally appeared on her face: "I can feel that my brother's chaotic energy is gradually calming down, and he may wake up soon."

If it weren't for Frigga's constant comforting words, she probably wouldn't have been able to get through that period of time.

"That's good." Frigga stroked Wanda's hair and smiled gently.

Wanda nodded and looked up at Frigga: "Today's lessons are over, so I'm leaving now. Tell Brother Saul that I'll come see him again next time."

Frigga smiled lovingly. "I'll tell him. You don't know, he's been searching all over Asgard lately and found you a lot of fun things, saying he'll give them to you next time he sees you. But his actions have made Jane very jealous, and they've been arguing lately."

Wanda chuckled: "Then I'll have to make it up to Jane next time I see her."

During this year, Wanda's relationship with Frigga and Thor improved significantly. Frigga treated Wanda almost like her own daughter, Odin doted on her, and Thor treated Wanda almost like his own sister, always giving her the best food and toys.

Jane sometimes even lamented that Saul treated Wanda better than he treated her.

Frigga's hand was still gently stroking Wanda's hair, and Wanda squinted her eyes, enjoying the rare tranquility.

The bright sunlight shone into the hall, making the entire hall extremely bright, but there were always some corners where the light was blocked, leaving some slightly dark areas.

Suddenly, Frigga's hand stopped there. Looking at Wanda's head, she slowly asked, "Have you seen Loki lately? I don't know why, but I keep dreaming about him."

Wanda's body suddenly stiffened. After a moment, Wanda slowly stood up, but her face was lowered, and Frigga could not see any expression on her face.

“How could I possibly see Loki? Didn’t he fall into the abyss of space? Even if he escaped, he’ll definitely find a way to come back.” After a moment, Wanda slowly raised her head, a flawless smile on her face. “I need to go back soon; Pietro should still be waiting for me.”

Frigga slowly looked into Wanda's eyes, but they seemed like a bottomless lake, from which she could not discern any emotion.

After a moment, Frigga nodded: "Okay, go ahead. Don't forget to bring Pietro up next time, he needs to relax too."

“Okay.” Wanda slowly turned around and walked out of the hall. Then, her figure disappeared into the portal.

The entire hall fell silent, leaving only Frigga alone. Frigga stared blankly at the spot where Wanda had disappeared for a long time, until she slowly withdrew her gaze.
