Chapter 149 The Final Battle (Part 3)
"It's our turn."
Thor and Doctor Strange glanced at the weapon lights on the bottom of the mothership, then left the battlefield and flew towards the mothership.
"boom!"
A deafening clap of thunder echoed across the sky, which was already gloomy but now covered with even darker clouds, obscuring the little light that remained. Meanwhile, lightning bolts, like silver serpents, streaked across the sky. The clouds grew thicker and thicker, pressing down upon the spaceship mothership.
Doctor Strange made a strange hand gesture, and then the Eye of Agamotto in front of him suddenly opened. The Time Stone emitted a mesmerizing green light, which flowed into Doctor Strange's body. Then, Doctor Strange slightly shook his arms, and red energy shields instantly appeared at the bottom of the spaceship mothership.
Just then, the bombardment from the spaceship mothership began!
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The most terrifying attack from the technological realm caused Doctor Strange's red energy shield to shatter repeatedly, but with the continuous energy supply from the Time Stone, the red energy shield kept reappearing. Furthermore, dimensional portals appeared in the path of the weapon attacks, redirecting the attacks from the spaceship mothership back along the same route and bombarding the spaceship mothership.
The dark clouds in the sky had now completely engulfed the spaceship mothership, and the lightning bolts that flashed through them were constantly striking the energy shield around the mothership, eroding its integrity.
Gradually, the attacks from the mothership decreased, but Thor and Doctor Strange's expressions did not relax at all—the mothership's attacks were definitely not limited to this!
Perhaps even more terrifying tricks are yet to come.
The next moment, a dazzling red ray tore through the dark clouds and swept towards the ground, like sunlight breaking free from darkness at dawn. However, the power of this red ray was terrifying; under its sweep, Doctor Strange's red energy shield couldn't even last a second before shattering. Even the portals it passed through were shattered with a deafening roar.
The red line drew a circle on the ground, and wherever it passed, any spaceships, soldiers, or machine monsters were instantly vaporized into air. A deep, bottomless red scratch appeared on the ground, with dazzling red flames on both sides of the scratch.
After sweeping across the ground, the red ray changed angle again and shot in another direction. Doctor Strange and Thor, their expressions changing, immediately launched an even more ferocious attack, targeting the direction from which the red ray was being fired, in an attempt to destroy the red ray device.
But wherever the red ray passed, all attacks were reduced to ashes. If Thor and Doctor Strange hadn't escaped quickly, they would probably have been vaporized into thin air.
Wanda, floating in the distance, frowned and was about to rush to her aid, but the next moment, Tony's voice reached her ears: "I'll come!"
Wanda froze, watching Tony, clad in his Iron Man suit, streak like lightning as he approached the spaceship mothership in the sky. The Iron Man suit Tony wore was an anti-magic armor!
"Strange, come with me!"
Tony's voice, transmitted through the anti-magic armor, reached Doctor Strange's ears. Then, the two simultaneously raised their hands, and two astonishing beams of energy shot out from their palms, striking the red ray.
The terrifying red ray was actually stopped in mid-air by the combined energy of the two.
"boom!"
A tremendous sound rang out, and a burst of red energy exploded outwards. Then, a red spatial gate rapidly opened with the explosion, followed by another red spatial gate opening on top of the spaceship mothership!
"Bang!"
The red rays, like divine punishment descending from the sky, bombarded the spaceship mothership. In that instant, they even tore through the energy defense shield in front of it and struck the mothership's main body.
"Sizzle."
A piercing sound rang out, and a hole was blasted through the top of the spaceship mothership. The mothership then shook violently, shifted its direction, and cut through the steel in other areas, creating a gap.
The next moment, the red ray disappeared, and the damaged energy shield around the spaceship mothership closed up again, protecting the entire spaceship mothership.
"This mothership's energy shield has an automatic replenishment function, but a sudden, powerful attack can break through the energy shield's blockade and strike the mothership itself!" Tony's voice reached Doctor Strange's ears, and Doctor Strange immediately understood Tony's thoughts.
It's unclear what kind of protection Thanos implemented on the mothership, but Doctor Strange was unable to teleport directly into it through the portal. Both Doctor Strange and Tony Stark had attempted this.
However, if we could break through the energy shield and enter the spaceship mothership directly before it closes, everything would seem easier.
"On Friday, get the Iron Man suits off the battlefield and to me as soon as possible," Tony commanded the AI.
The next moment, a dozen or so Iron Man suits sliced through the air and arrived beside Tony. Potts, wearing another nanotech Iron Man suit, also flew up and stood beside Tony.
"Walk!"
A portal appeared in front of Tony, and he stepped through it. Potts and the other Iron Man suits quickly flew through the portal as well. Doctor Strange made a slight circle with his right hand in front of him, and a portal with a red halo opened rapidly. He and Thor quickly passed through the portal as well.
