Chapter 102 Tony's Anti-Magic Armor
It seemed like an ordinary day. New York television presenter Remy Martin was broadcasting the news as usual. He sat at his desk, skillfully looking at the teleprompter in front of him, and read the news aloud.
But for some reason, Remett felt that something was not quite right.
Out of the corner of his eye, Remett saw that the director seemed to have received some information and was staring at the tablet in his hand in shock. A moment later, the director gestured to him and the people around him, and Remett saw on the monitor that the news broadcast had switched to the news screen.
"What's going on? I hadn't even finished saying that sentence, how did it suddenly switch to an outdoor scene?" Remette looked at the director with a mixture of surprise and confusion and asked quickly.
This is a serious broadcasting accident!
He has rarely encountered such a situation in his career; the last time he did was during a nuclear leak.
Looking at the expressions of the director and his colleagues, Remait felt increasingly heavy-hearted.
The director handed the tablet to Remett, looking at him with a heavy expression. Remett took the tablet, and when he saw the scene displayed on it, his eyes widened immediately, and he looked up at the director.
He wanted to ask if the footage on the control panel was real, but he knew the director would never joke about such a thing, and based on his experience, he could easily deduce that the content on the control panel was a live broadcast.
“This is footage from Ryan, who’s out scouting locations. He’s near Stark Tower right now. I need you back in your seat and broadcast this news as you see fit. Also, cancel all subsequent news broadcasts. I don’t think anyone wants to see anything else.” The director looked at Remette, staring directly into his eyes. “Don’t ask anything, Remette. I don’t know more than you do.”
Remett's excellent professionalism prompted him to immediately return to his seat, sit upright, and stare at the monitor, preparing for the next broadcast.
"Oh my god, is this the end of the world?"
Remett listened to the director's words and looked at his colleagues' solemn expressions, but he couldn't say a word, because he had learned too many things that ordinary people could not know because of his position over the years.
But he was still shocked by what he had just seen.
Can anyone tell him what exactly that black hole, airship, and aliens are?
A red dot flashed on the monitor, and Remette's eyes immediately became incredibly focused, his voice as calm as ever.
"The news I'm about to report might sound like a fantasy, but viewers, please believe me, it's all true. We've discussed countless times whether aliens exist, but today we have a definitive answer: aliens do exist, and they are currently wreaking havoc on humanity in New York City. We've just received news that Stark Tower has completely collapsed, and a wormhole has opened above it, from which countless aliens have flown out..."
The scene that Remette was broadcasting only occupied a corner of the broadcast screen; the majority of the broadcast screen was occupied by the scene of Stark Tower at that moment.
"God."
"Was that really an alien?"
"The building is floating! What will happen to the people inside?"
"What are those eight beams of light? They look like they're going to destroy the wormhole."
"..."
People who were chatting in front of the television immediately stared intently at the screen, letting out gasps of surprise. In the United States, shopping malls and households receiving this television broadcast were all stunned, stopping what they were doing to watch the footage on the screen.
Everyone recognized Stark Tower, but they clearly saw it quickly turn into a pile of ruins before their very eyes.
"God! My son! My son is in that building!"
"Jack, you absolutely can't get hurt!"
"Hmm!"
"..."
Those connected to the buildings that had floated up were now trembling with fear, picking up their phones to call their relatives and inquire about their situation. But few of the calls went through.
On the television, Remette's voice continued: "...Finally, I advise everyone to go to shelters in your vicinity as soon as possible to avoid this disaster."
Just then, everyone in front of the television stared wide-eyed at the image on the screen, and beneath Remette's calm voice, there was an uncontrollable tremor.
"...Two spaceships, each several hundred meters long, appeared in the skies above New York, but we don't know whether they are friend or foe..."
However, the next moment, they saw gun barrels emerging from the bottom of the Sky Carrier.
They knew all too well what such a scene represented.
"Natasha, the target has appeared." Tony said to Natasha as soon as he saw the energy beam instruments being destroyed one by one on the monitor and the sky carrier appeared.
"I've arrived too," Natasha said, looking at the aircraft carrier in the sky not far away, her expression complicated.
She was involved in almost the entire process of casting these three sky carriers; she even witnessed them transform from a pile of parts into what they are today.
But today she is going to destroy them with her own hands.
These space carriers are the culmination of the wisdom of countless scientists, and even their intelligent operating systems are impenetrable to Tony Stark and Jarvis. Therefore, the only solution now is to destroy them.
"Natasha will be in charge of number one. Bronsky, Rogers, and Potts, the three of you will be in charge of number two. Banner and Betty, you'll be responsible for holding off those aliens on Stark Tower. I'll deal with the most powerful sorcerer myself. As for Pietro, you'll work with Gwen, Harry, and Peter, who are arriving soon, to deal with the aliens coming from the sky. My robots have all been given permissions; you can use their power if necessary. Before Gor and Wanda return, we must clear all obstacles for them. If they can't return in time, we'll use the second plan, where I'll activate the ultimate weapon."
