Chapter Sixty-Four: The Battle on the Top Floor of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Those were all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, people who knew each other, but now they are gone forever.

The remaining members knew that the battle above was nearing its end, and Captain America, Natasha, and Green Windman were approaching the top floor of S.H.I.E.L.D.

That was Nick Fury's office.

“If I were you, I would definitely stay far away instead of getting this close,” Peter said coldly to the agents on the other side, his venom materializing into a head.

Although the agents didn't know what this black "monster" was, they knew he was on their side from how he had just helped Peter, so they immediately retreated away from S.H.I.E.L.D.

After warning the group, Venom turned its attention back to Gwen.

At this moment, the scorching red energy had been forced all the way down to Gwen's waist. The terrifying energy, on the verge of erupting, surged beneath the yellow seal, and could be clearly seen even through Gwen's skin.

These energies became increasingly difficult to control, causing Wanda's body to tremble slightly, and large beads of sweat kept pouring from her forehead.

Finally, all the red energy was bound to Gwen's legs, and Wanda managed to squeeze out a sentence through gritted teeth: "Quick!"

Venom raised the black blade that had already materialized and slashed hard at Gwen's leg.

"Sizzle."

As Venom moved, a friction sound rang out rapidly. Although the sound was faint, Peter's heart began to race.

Venom controlled the black tentacles to grab Gwen's severed leg and threw it forcefully into the distance.

At the same time, Venom enveloped Wanda, Peter, and Gwen's bodies, and used its tentacles, which were already wrapped around a distant lamppost, to forcefully drag the three of them toward the lamppost.

The red energy on the legs, thrown far away, quickly broke through the constraints of the yellow seal and erupted.

"boom!"

A tremendous explosion rang out in the sky, sending countless flames shooting in all directions. Even more flames splattered onto Venom's body.

Venom narrowed his eyes and bared his teeth, seemingly already imagining the immense pain these flames would inflict on him.

But after a moment, he did not feel the burning pain of the flames. Upon closer inspection, he discovered that his body was shrouded in a gray energy.

Venom knew very well that this was Wanda's chaos magic, so he looked at Wanda with a fawning smile and said, "Thank you."

Wanda smiled at him, her expression much more relaxed—Gwen's red aura had completely disappeared, and her body was recovering at a visible speed under Qinghai's healing.

Compared to the increasingly relaxed atmosphere in front of S.H.I.E.L.D., the atmosphere on the roof of S.H.I.E.L.D. was much more somber.

"Bang! Boom! Crack! Ah!"

The sounds of explosions, gunfire, the sound of buildings being blown apart, and screams mingled together, causing Nick, sitting at his desk, to involuntarily blink.

He wanted to pick up the walkie-talkie countless times, but in the end he put it down again.

"Natasha and Rogers are about to reach the top floor."

"Harry is climbing the outer wall of S.H.I.E.L.D. and cannot be effectively intercepted. He is about to reach the top floor."

"The agents have suffered heavy losses and can no longer delay their advance."

"The fourteen unidentified flying objects have been confirmed to be Iron Man's Iron Man suit."

"Most of the fighter jets that were trying to block the attack have crashed. Currently, only ten helicopters remain to attack the Iron Man suit, and reinforcements are being brought in from other military bases."

"..."

Reports came through the walkie-talkie one after another. Nick took a deep breath and his eyes regained their usual calm.

"Bang!"

Finally, two blood-covered people burst through the door; it was Natasha and Captain America.

However, it was clear through the bloodstains that there were no wounds on their bodies. It was obvious that the bloodstains on their clothes were from other people's blood splattered on them.

"Snap!"

At the same time, the sound of shattering glass rang out, as Harry broke into S.H.I.E.L.D. from outside the building.

With a cold look in his eyes, Harry stood up from the shards of glass scattered on the floor.

"You can leave now," Nick said in a deep voice, looking at the few remaining soldiers who had chased after them.

Nick was now surrounded by Natasha, Rogers, and Harry, and even if he wanted to escape, he had no chance.

“If you had surrendered sooner, so many agents wouldn’t have died. They died because of you.” Natasha looked at Nick and smiled. “Tell me, aren’t they resenting you right now, saying you’re not fit to be their director?”

But that smile looked especially terrifying on her blood-stained face.

“You killed them, and you’ll remember that.” Nick looked at the two men, his eyes unwavering.

There was one thing he didn't say: although he was heartbroken, he needed to delay before he could do certain things.

For some reason, Natasha was startled when she saw Nick's eyes, as if she felt that something was not quite right.

But she immediately shook her head and walked towards Nick.

Behind Nick, Harry also started walking towards Nick.

"Hey, Banner, Betty, you can show yourself now." Nick's deep voice echoed in the office.

Then came two terrifying growls!

"roar!"

"roar!"

Two terrifying voices, seemingly carrying extremely suppressed bestiality and pain, made everyone who heard them unconsciously feel fear.

Natasha, Rogers, and Harry, who had been walking forward, slowly stopped and looked in the direction of the sound—at the two metal cabinets next to Nick.
