Chapter 124 Journey to the Land of No Knowledge
After navigating streets filled with aliens, Gale and Yondu's two underlings arrived at the shopping mall.
"Have you been to the shopping mall on Xandar before?" Ger asked the man next to him. This man was named Figo, a native of a remote planet. He had originally been captured by the planet's colonists and enslaved, but was later rescued by Yondu by chance and became devoted to working for Yondu.
In the past ten days or so, although Ger did not take the initiative to communicate with anyone, there were still people who were curious about Ger and would take the initiative to talk to him. Figo was one of them.
Figo smiled and nodded, his face still bearing the arrogance and confidence typical of space pirates: "Our base has the perfect shopping mall for us to have fun. That's paradise. The level of fun is beyond your imagination. Of course, we also come here occasionally to relax."
Gel continued, "Do you sell weapons here?"
Figo frowned slightly, turned his head slightly to look at Ger, his eyes filled with wariness and doubt: "Why are you asking about weapons? Besides, you don't have their currency, so you can't buy them."
Ger just smiled calmly: "I definitely don't have any money on me. I just wanted to see how the weapons outside are different from ours."
Figo seemed to have thought of something, and the wariness on his face slowly relaxed: "Those weapon shops don't have any special weapons, just some restraining and not very lethal weapons. It's fine to take you there to broaden your horizons."
With that, Figo led the way.
After walking past one shop after another, they finally led Ger to the door of one of the shops.
"What would you like to see, gentlemen?" A blue alien approached, a hint of disdain flashing across his face when he saw the three's attire. However, this disdain was well concealed, not revealing much—their "strange" clothing clearly indicated they came from some remote planet, completely lacking the fashion elements of Xandar or other advanced races.
He has received too many people like that; you can't expect them to buy anything.
Looking at his expression, Ger already knew what he was thinking, and then Ger shook his head slightly—sure enough, all shops that judge by appearance are the same all over the world.
Gel flicked his fingers slightly, and chaotic energy silently flowed into the two people beside him. The influence of mental magic caused a slight glint to flash in their eyes, and then they both took a step back, standing behind Gel to make him stand out.
Ger extended his finger slightly, and a gold card appeared at his fingertip. Then, the gold card disappeared again, and Ger withdrew his finger.
When the boss saw the gold card, he held his breath for a moment, then swallowed hard. A fanatical expression flashed across his face. He tried several times to suppress the fervor, but his face still twitched slightly uncontrollably.
"I have many good things here. Would you like me to show you the way?" The shopkeeper bowed slightly, gestured inside, and asked respectfully.
This gold card is a custom-made card by Xandar Planet Bank for its most distinguished and wealthiest customers. He has only seen it twice since he opened the store!
Ger nodded slightly, his eyes showing a hint of nonchalance: "Lead the way."
He showed off the gold card Saul had given him, hoping the boss would show him products that might interest him more. Sure enough, the boss was very perceptive.
The shop owner noticed Ger's tone and immediately went to close the shop door. Then he turned around and led Ger more respectfully into the shop.
Finally, the boss led Ger to a wall and pressed a button on it. The next moment, the perfectly sealed wall suddenly split in two, without even the slightest noise.
Then, a spacious and bright exhibition hall appeared before Geer. The light boxes in this exhibition hall had a simple yet grand design, and even the overall design of the exhibition hall was completely different from the one that was exposed to the outside.
“This is where our real treasure lies,” the shopkeeper said, looking at Gel with a fawning smile.
Gel looked around and said casually, "Introduce me to him."
The boss nodded and walked towards the first display case, which contained a spherical object with some mysterious patterns around its edges.
"This is the work of the mystical master Temirossi from the planet Milida. It is a powerful bomb that will tear apart everything within a two-kilometer radius when it explodes. Its destructive principle is to use spatial magic and extreme light and heat to destroy the enemy."
Gel said thoughtfully, "The area of damage doesn't seem to be that large."
The boss immediately responded, "But its destructive power within the kill radius is devastating. Its power far exceeds your expectations. There's a demonstration clip here; would you like to see it?"
Ger raised his chin, signaling for him to play it.
"Please be careful not to be startled." After reminding him, the boss operated the equipment on the booth, and suddenly the surrounding space was filled with a VR video that surrounded him from all sides.
Gel saw that many aliens wielding weapons suddenly appeared on the ground around them. These aliens gathered in one place, and suddenly, a sphere appeared on the ground in the center of them. Then, the mysterious patterns on the sphere were filled with a gradually flashing light. A moment later, the sphere suddenly cracked open, and then amazing flames burst out from it. Even more terrifying, dense spatial rifts appeared simultaneously in all areas within a two-kilometer radius, and a large amount of flames shot out from these spatial rifts. In an instant, all places within a two-kilometer radius were covered in flames. The army wielding weapons was cut and burned by the spatial rifts and the flames that shot out from them, leaving not even ashes.
