“The amount of magical energy I transferred to the animals was the minimum I could control. So, do you still want to try?” Gel said coldly, looking at Director Nick.
Director Nick, standing to the side, was now covered in cold sweat from shock. He looked dejectedly in the direction of the Tesseract and shook his head: "Forget it, there's no need to try again."
The researchers watching from the sidelines were also startled by the sight, and the underground space fell into a deathly silence.
After a long silence, Director Nick broke the silence and said to Natasha, "Natasha, take Gle to Tony's place. Isn't your agreed time approaching?"
Natasha nodded and led Ger toward the elevator.
This was the first time visiting Tony's house, and it was during the day, so Gel didn't plan to go directly through the portal.
Once Ger and Natasha were out of sight, Director Nick took a deep breath, his expression hardening again. He turned to the researchers beside him and asked, "While the three Ger siblings were absorbing spatial energy these past two weeks, you must have taken the opportunity to research quite a few useful things, right?"
The researchers nodded: "We detected that the energy field strength during Gel's absorption was greater than the energy field strength during Wanda's or Pietro's absorption alone..."
Director Nick interrupted the researchers directly: "I don't need to know that. I just want to know, if I want to use this energy to develop some high-tech weapons, can you do it now?"
The researchers swallowed hard as they looked at Director Nick. "This has always been our research direction. Based on the research of the past two weeks, we have made a great breakthrough in our understanding of the energy in the Cosmic Cube, so it should be possible."
Director Nick continued, "How long will it take before I can see the finished product?"
Researchers estimated that it would take approximately 1-2 years.
Director Nick shook his head: "It's too long. We can't wait that long."
The researchers glanced at Director Nick's face, then quickly lowered their heads in fright. After a moment, they tentatively added, "If... we let Gel help us with the research, the time should be shortened considerably."
Director Nick pondered for a moment, nodded, and then waved to the researchers: "Okay, I understand."
After the researchers left, Director Nick turned towards the elevator and stared at it for a long time. The sounds of the researchers operating computers and working busily in the distance only made the silence where Director Nick stood seem eerily profound.
After a long while, Director Nick came to his senses and strode towards the elevator.
Since we can't create superpowered individuals, let's use superpowered weapons to make those superpowered individuals obey us!
