Chapter 67 The Reappearance of Abomination
Tony and the others also frowned along with Natasha.
The man before me had a white face in his thirties, with a head of black hair combed back, revealing a slightly receding hairline. At this moment, he stood ramrod straight, looking shrewd and capable.
This face appeared in the files Hydra showed them; it was none other than Phil Coulson, Nick Fury's trusted agent!
"Playing the chief was exhausting. To avoid giving myself away, I didn't dare say much, and to prevent my walking from looking strange, I sat in a chair the whole time." Coulson looked at the mask and hair on the ground, his tone relaxed. "Luckily you arrived in time, otherwise I would have died in the line of duty."
“The upcoming battle will require you to stay away for a while. I may not have the energy to look after you. Moreover, in order to prevent them from having any chance to contact the outside world, I cannot open a spatial portal to send you out. You will stay at the edge of this space and wait for the battle to end.” Gol looked at Coulson, waved his hand, and the ground beneath Coulson’s feet automatically floated up and drifted into the distance.
Upon seeing the ground floating up, Tony, Natasha, and the others simultaneously assumed defensive stances, their pupils slightly contracting—this is…?
They discovered the anomaly as soon as they entered the mirror space.
Just now, there were various sounds such as horns and screams in the distance, but here, it was so quiet that only their breathing could be heard, as well as the roars of the Hulk and She-Hulk coming from a very far place.
Even though they were still standing on the shaky S.H.I.E.L.D. building, they were certain they were no longer in the same space they had just been in.
Subconsciously, they thought of what they had read in the documents about how Hatred had disappeared for a period of time.
Could this be the secret behind the sudden disappearance of hatred?
Tony, inside his Iron Man suit, wore an even more serious expression—his suit had lost contact with the Veronica system outside. In other words, from this moment on, his Iron Man suit could no longer receive effective damage support.
Hearing the faint sounds of battle coming from afar, Geer's consciousness extended along with the chaotic energy, sensing the specific situation in the distance. Soon, Geer smiled.
All individuals with strong energy fluctuations sensed during the extension of the Mirror Space have been pulled into the Mirror Space, including Coulson, Peter, Harry, Wanda, Natasha, Rogers, and the twelve Iron Man suits, as well as the Hulk, She-Hulk, and two Iron Man suits in the distance.
Potts was inside that heavy armor with yellow steel "wings".
But it seems like Gwen is missing?
"Where's Gwen?" Gel turned to Wanda beside him and asked.
Wanda's expression was complicated: "She almost self-destructed just now. After I healed her, I sealed her away and sent her to the desert. Besides, Brother Peter has returned to normal."
Ger nodded—they had previously found several oases in the desert and placed several habitable shipping containers in each oasis to temporarily house these brainwashed individuals.
Then, Gel waved his hand and flew down with Wanda, landing on the ground, where Peter walked to his side.
Opposite them, Natasha, Rogers, Harry, and twelve Iron Man suits stood together.
The two sides were only about 20 meters apart, and the atmosphere around them was becoming increasingly tense, as if an earth-shattering battle would break out at any moment!
But Tony, Natasha, and the others had one lingering question: Where was their target, Nick Fury, now?
At this moment, in a room dozens of kilometers away from S.H.I.E.L.D.
The room was large, and the overall layout was very similar to the offices on the first floor of S.H.I.E.L.D.: there was a row of desks in the middle, with many high-end computers on them, and six operators sitting at the computers, their hands clapping and typing on the keyboards.
Behind them, Nick Fury sat calmly in his chair, looking at the computer in front of the operator.
These operators were all highly trusted agents handpicked by him, which is why they were brought out; of course, their abilities were equally outstanding.
"Slap! Slap..."
The sound of keyboards clicking filled the room. As the operators moved their hands, strings of code flashed on the computers in front of them, followed by several red dots representing their positions.
“According to a report from S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Gail has just appeared, and Iron Man, Captain America, and the others have all disappeared.” Hill opened the door, walked in, put down her walkie-talkie, and said to Nick.
The room lights shone on Nick's face, illuminating his entire face, but no one could read the expression on his face.
After a moment, Nick nodded, looked at the operator, and asked in a cold voice, "We've been searching for so long, have all the locations been found?"
The operator turned around and said, "By combining the signal source connected to Iron Man's Iron Man suit with all the previous communication records around S.H.I.E.L.D., we have located the center point of the signal source and all the communication objects connected to this center point."
Nick let out a soft breath, placed his hand on the chair, and slowly stood up: "The center of the signal source should be where Pierce is right now. Bronsky, Hawkeye, let's go."
After Nick finished speaking, Hawkeye and Bronsky, who had been sitting in the corner, slowly got up and walked towards Nick.
If Banner were here, he would be shocked—his archenemy, Bronsky, who had always wanted him dead, was actually standing next to Nick!
