But seeing the amused look in Gamora's eyes, it felt as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over her head, chilling her to the bone.
“The amount in this card is enough for us to buy most of what we want. I’ll leave it to you for now and we’ll see how things go later.” Gel placed the gold card in Gamora’s hand. “What I need to buy are all sorts of things that contain powerful energy for my magic to absorb. Things with low energy storage won’t do, and they have to be easy to absorb.”
Gamora held the gold card tightly in her hand, her expression shifting between light and shadow. After a moment, she sighed inwardly, then nodded, her expression returning to calm: "I understand."
Gamora led Gel through a maze of turns until they finally arrived at a shop that sold all kinds of minerals.
Standing at the store entrance, Ger could sense the energy contained in all the items inside, which was much stronger than the previous stores he had seen, and he nodded immediately.
"Ring ring."
The crisp sound of wind chimes rang out as Gamora pushed open the door and went inside. Gel followed a step behind her, his expression indifferent.
Compared to the luxuriously decorated store on Xandar, this store was in a terrible state. Many of the display stands containing minerals and liquid tubes were covered in dust and even showed signs of damage everywhere.
Hearing the door open, a somewhat gaunt alien immediately stood up from his chair and went to greet Gamora and Gel. After scanning them up and down, the shopkeeper focused his gaze on Gamora: "Respected guests, how may I help you?"
Gamora slowly walked around the shop, then shook her head dismissively, stretched out two fingers, and a gold card appeared in her hand.
"Gulp."
The shopkeeper's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when he saw the gold card. He swallowed hard, his eyes fixed on the card. The greedy look in his eyes almost made Gerl suspect that he was going to steal the gold card outright.
"Smack!"
Gamora slammed her foot hard on the counter next to her, shattering it into pieces and sending dust billowing into the air. The loud noise made the shop owner immediately withdraw his greedy gaze, giving Gamora a somewhat cautious look, without even considering pursuing the matter of Gamora damaging his counter.
“My name is Gamora, you should have heard of me,” Gamora said, giving the shopkeeper a cold look.
Upon hearing the name, the shop owner couldn't help but shudder and instinctively took a step back: "Thanos's daughter, Gamora."
Gamora merely glanced at him without replying.
The shop owner didn't ask any further questions, because Gamora's appearance was extremely similar to the rumors, and this gold card was very likely given to her by Thanos. In that case, who would dare to provoke her?
Even Tanlia Tivan, the owner of the Land of No Knowledge, would likely have to show Thanos great respect.
"Dear Lady Gamora, may I ask what you are looking for at my humble shop?" the shopkeeper asked, bowing slightly.
Gamora slowly tapped her finger on the counter beside her: "I want some items with high energy, preferably magical energy. I believe there are more places here than just these, right?"
The shopkeeper hesitated slightly, then replied after a moment, "My little shop doesn't have anything you'd like. However, there are several underground markets in Wucunzhidi. I know a boss who holds a small auction every day, collecting all sorts of rare and precious treasures from the universe for guests who come to Wucunzhidi to auction. There's a larger auction every month, and today happens to be the start of this month's large auction."
"An auction?" Gamora's gaze drifted slightly towards Gel, she hesitated for a moment, but still asked, "When does today's auction start? I don't have much time."
"It will start in an hour." The shopkeeper immediately noticed Gamora's gaze. He understood the meaning behind that look and looked at Gel in surprise.
"If we factor in the various procedures for participating in the activities, will we make it in time?" Gamora asked, frowning slightly.
The shop owner immediately nodded: "We have a fast track to the auction, and with you two distinguished guests here, they won't ask for any formalities. If there really is, I can take care of it for you."
Gamora glanced at Gale, who nodded slightly.
Gamora immediately pointed outside: "Lead the way."
The shop owner, noticing the interaction between the two, immediately lowered his head and walked outside, not daring to even glance at Gamora—who exactly was this person who could command such respect from Thanos's daughter Gamora?
The three arrived outside, and the shop owner waved slightly, causing an open-style spaceship to fly over and land in front of them.
However, after being stored in the unknown land full of mining for a long time, the spaceship inevitably accumulated some dust inside, and even the entire surface of the spaceship was dirty.
"Excuse me, gentlemen, this place is a bit dirty. Let me wipe it for you first." The shop owner looked at the black particles on the seats and said apologetically to Gamora and Gel.
Gel shook his head slightly, his calm and composed voice echoing in the ears of the shopkeeper and Gamora: "No need."
Gel waved his hand gently, and chaotic energy silently surged toward the spaceship, only this time, the spaceship was accompanied by a faint dark red light.
"Please have mercy, sir..." The shopkeeper, seeing the surging energy, immediately wiped the sweat from his brow and urgently tried to stop it.
