Chapter Twenty-Nine: Learning Mirror Magic

"Before learning Mirror Space Magic, could you show me Mirror Space again?" After racking his brains without success, Gel simply went to Daniel and began learning Mirror Magic.

As for the matter of exotic energy, we should consider it after we've completed our energy upgrade using the Time Stone. After all, we'll have plenty of time to browse through the magic books in the library, and we should be able to find the relevant records.

Perhaps the battle just now had such a strong impact on Daniel that his gaze toward Gel was filled with curiosity, shock, and a little fear.

Gel didn't pay attention to the look Daniel was giving him; he simply looked at Daniel calmly, waiting for his response.

“A comprehensive observation and understanding of the Mirror Space can indeed help you learn it.” Daniel noticed his lapse in composure and quickly looked away. Placing the sling ring on his finger, Daniel looked back at Gel. “You can carefully sense how my gestures and magic combine.”

When Daniel saw that Gel was looking at him intently, he took a deep breath and quickly formed a series of complex hand seals. At the same time, streams of magical energy surged from his ring, flowing towards Daniel's fingertips. As Daniel moved, the magical energy began to attract the surrounding spatial energy, gathering around him.

"Mirror space, appear!"

A moment later, Daniel pressed his hands down hard, and the spatial magic he had gathered suddenly erupted. After a melodious sound like wind chimes, the space in front of the two of them became fragmented, as if it were a series of moving polygonal mirrors that tore the entire space apart.

"Go in." Daniel went in first.

As he entered the boundary between the mirror space and the real space, the boundary seemed to be affected by his body, and began to ripple like water. Only after his body completely entered the mirror space and disappeared did the boundary return to its original state.

Ger observed with some curiosity before going inside.

“Mirror magic, and many other spells, require corresponding incantations and hand seals, which is unavoidable for beginners. But with more practice, many of the corresponding hand seals can be replaced with more magical energy. Truly proficient practitioners can omit the incantations and most of the hand seals.” Daniel pointed to the area between the mirror space and the real space. “I’ve deliberately shown the boundary of the mirror space here to help beginners like you distinguish between them. Once you’re proficient, you can make the connection between the mirror space and the real space seamless, and you’ll experience the greatest advantage of the mirror space: its concealment!”

As he spoke, Daniel pointed to the boundary of the mirror space. The previously fragmented "mirrors" instantly connected together and then disappeared completely, leaving no trace of the boundary.

Gel walked toward a mage practicing spells, and when he got close, he waved his hand in front of him, but the mage did not react.

“This is a space independent of reality. He can’t see your movements, and you can’t touch him.” Daniel smiled as he watched Gel’s movements, while reaching out his right hand towards the mage, but his arm passed right through the mage’s body. “You can also use magical energy to adjust the boundaries of the mirror space at any time and decide who to pull into it.”

Gel nodded, also gaining a better understanding of the characteristics of the Mirror Space: "However, I saw Casillas turn the world upside down in the Mirror Space just now, what kind of magic was that?"

Is this what you mean?

Daniel stretched out his right hand and drew a half circle in front of him. As he did so, the surrounding buildings suddenly receded, some turned upside down, some rose higher, and some even fell to the ground.

A moment later, Danny waved his hand again, and the surrounding buildings changed once more, all of them returning to their original state, while the ground supporting them floated into the air, forming irregular rectangular plots of land in the sky, like staircases without any connection.

Some of the buildings even folded over from a distance, extending vertically directly into the sky!

Wow!

Gel couldn't help but exclaim in admiration, becoming even more interested in this mirror magic—if you could bring an enemy who wasn't familiar with this kind of spatial change here, wouldn't that allow them to directly experience what it means to "feel like flying"?

Seeing Gel's reaction, Daniel smiled and said, "This is the same as the magic that Casillas used before; it's an application of transformation magic. In the mirror space, you can use your magic to control and change that space. Actually, it can also be used in the real world, but to achieve the same effect, it requires much more magical energy than in the mirror space."

"And you absolutely must wear the sling ring properly, otherwise you'll be trapped in the mirror space and won't be able to get out," Daniel earnestly instructed, but quickly remembered Gel's special circumstances, paused for a moment, and then laughed, "By the way, you don't need to use the sling ring to gain power."

Gel recalled the contents of the book and asked, "Does this space have any weaknesses?"

The book focuses more on how to cast mirror space magic, without going into much detail about its advantages and disadvantages.

At this point, Daniel's expression became much more serious: "The Mirror Space is just a space; it doesn't distinguish between friend and foe. If you want to use the Mirror Space to deal with a mage more powerful than you, that's completely impossible unless you can steal his sling ring from the start. Moreover, the Mirror Space has a unique characteristic: it can amplify energy from the Dark World."

“What about normal magical energy?” Geer pressed.
