Chapter Ninety-Nine: Destroying Loki's Godhood

"Heh."

Loki's eyes gradually turned bloodshot, as if he were struggling against the forces binding him. He let out a difficult roar, but no matter how hard he tried, the dagger remained motionless.

After an unknown amount of time, the dark clouds in the sky had completely dispersed, and even a faint ray of sunlight shone through the glass next to the aircraft carrier, illuminating Loki's face and fully revealing his struggle and pain.

Meanwhile, in the surrounding sky, Gel and Wanda were also floating in mid-air. However, the magical fluctuations emanating from them were becoming increasingly intense, and the rapid absorption of energy even caused energy to overflow.

Finally, Loki seemed to give up. He looked at Gel, and tears silently streamed down his face.

Because at this moment, his body was completely empty, he could not feel the presence of magical power at all, and even his hands and feet became weak.

Loki hovered in mid-air, his eyes lifeless—when he fell into the abyss of space, he couldn't control his magical energy, but that energy still remained within his body, sustaining his movements. But now, he had completely lost his magic.

Looking at Loki's expression, Ger felt no pity whatsoever. With a thought, he subtly controlled the chaos magic, and his body slowly moved closer to Loki.

Until they were only half a meter apart.

Gol reached out and took the dagger from Loki's neck. Then, with a slight wave of his hand, the two landed on the ground of the Sky Carrier a moment later.

However, Gol stood firmly there, while Loki didn't even have the strength to stand and collapsed to the ground.

"Wanda, go find the Mind Stone first," Gel said, turning to look in Wanda's direction.

Wanda nodded, opened a portal to the seabed, and stepped back.

After watching Wanda leave, Gol put the dagger behind his back, turned around, and looked down at Loki with a hint of disgust on his face: "Do you know why I said you deserved it?"

Loki finally showed some expression. He weakly raised his head, looked at Gel, and a disgusted smile curled at the corner of his mouth: "Don't think that just because I've lost my magical power, you can humiliate me, you lowly mortal. I am still a god."

“I say you deserve it because you’ve lived for thousands of years and still don’t understand why you’re alive. You have such good conditions: noble birth, a loving mother, and a doting brother. According to Thor, Frigga loves you more than she loves him. And Thor, as a brother and a friend, couldn’t be more qualified.” Gel looked into Loki’s eyes and sneered slightly. “But for something you couldn’t have—fatherly love—you disregarded your mother’s love and your brother’s love, plotting to kill Thor twice. When you did all that, did you ever think about how good Thor was to you? Did you ever think about how heartbroken Frigga would be after losing Thor?”

Loki stubbornly held his head high, but his eyes inevitably darkened.

“People spend their entire lives troubled by what they couldn’t have in their youth. But you’ve lived for thousands of years and are still trapped there, so trapped that you’ve lost sight of what you already have. What else can you call that but your own fault?” Gel’s eyes even revealed a hint of pity, a pity with such complex meaning that it made Loki feel uneasy for a moment.

For some inexplicable reason, Loki had a feeling that something terrible was about to happen. But why would he have this feeling at this moment?

"And you will no longer be a god."

Gol's words reached Loki's ears, sending a chill down his spine as if a bucket of ice water had been poured over him. Loki looked at Gol in terror, involuntarily backing away, and asked in fear, "What do you want?"

"I will cut off your last escape route, destroy your godhood, and ensure that you will never pose any threat to me again." Gel didn't chase after Loki, but simply watched Loki's actions with pity.

Gol's gaze was like the icy chill of an ancient winter coffin, even colder than that, making Loki feel even more icy. Loki stopped abruptly, his eyes widening, his previously lifeless gaze now filled with extreme terror: "You're insane, you must be insane. No, absolutely not."

Without magical energy, he might still be able to cultivate, but without his divine status, he would only ever be a mortal, unable to cultivate again, and his life would be like that of a pitiful mortal, lasting only a few decades.

Gol looked at him with pity, and with a slight wave of his right hand, chaotic energy surged toward Loki's body, like seawater trying to drown him.

Loki couldn't help but shiver and tried to shrink back, but he had no magical energy left, so where could he escape to? In an instant, he was engulfed by chaotic energy.

"ah!"

Loki felt something surging inside his body, and he felt immense pain, writhing on the ground, but even so, it did nothing to lessen his suffering.

Hearing the cries of pain around him, Gale showed no pity, only continuing to pour chaotic energy into Loki's body. Destroying Loki's body might cause it to collapse, so the chaotic energy was simultaneously reshaping Loki's body!

He wants to completely turn Loki into a mortal!

"Kill me, kill me!" Loki pleaded with Gol, but he received no response from Gol.

After a long while, Loki's body paused slightly. He seemed to feel something inside his body shatter, and all the pain in his body was completely drained away.
