"Are you really going to compete with him?" After a while, a voice came from above Ge'er's head again. It wasn't Wang, the temporary librarian, who spoke, but another face that Ge'er didn't recognize.
This person has a rather honest-looking Black face.
“I am Randall Daniel. The Sorcerer Supreme asked me to arrange a room for you to rest.” Daniel looked down at Gel with a friendly smile on his face.
“Hello, I am Ger Maxinov.” Ger smiled and closed his book. “Thank you for your concern, but I do intend to have a match with him, as a way to test my magical abilities.”
Under the light, Daniel tried to see if Ger was putting on a brave face, but all he saw on Ger's face was a calm expression.
“Casillas is very powerful in magic, and he has a violent temper. Those who have fought with him before have all been injured by him, and several have been seriously injured. The Sorcerer Supreme punished him several times, but he still did not restrain himself.” As if he had thought of something, Daniel looked at the king beside him, hesitated, and after a moment, continued to advise him, “Even when the Sorcerer Supreme taught him certain principles, he directly refuted the Sorcerer Supreme.”
Gel knew Daniel meant well, but he didn't intend to continue the conversation. He closed his book, stood up, and said, "I heard from the Sorcerer Supreme that if I have any magic I want to learn, I can learn it from you, is that right?"
Daniel nodded. "Yes, although I'm not as talented in magic as Kaecilius and Mordo, I consider myself pretty good. Do you already have a spell you want to learn?"
The spells he had just seen flashed through Ger's mind: "I want to learn Mirror Space."
Daniel pulled a book from the nearby bookshelf and handed it to Geer. Geer took it and glanced at it; the book was titled "Spatial Secrets."
Gerdon became interested immediately—after all, his chaos magic had absorbed the energy of the Space Stone, but he only knew how to use teleportation, so it was clearly not being used properly.
"Does the library close at night?" Ger asked, looking at Wang beside him.
Wang had been listening quietly the whole time, and only when he heard Ger speak to him did he reply, "There are always people in the library, you can come anytime you want."
Gel nodded, lent out "General Theory of Magical Foundations" and "Spatial Arcane Arts" from his hands, and then followed Daniel out of the library.
The first thing you pass is an open-air stone corridor, then a series of rooms, and finally you arrive at an ordinary wooden cabin.
Apart from the bed, table, stools, and lamp, there were almost no other items in the room; the furnishings were very simple.
“This is your room. If you want to learn mirror magic, just come find me tomorrow.” With that, Daniel handed Gel a note.
Gel took the note and looked at it; it had a string of numbers on it. "What's this?" he asked.
“This is my phone number. If anything happens, you can’t just shout, can you? If you think international calls are too expensive, you can use a public phone outside.” Daniel smiled and then walked towards the door.
Gel was taken aback for a moment, then shook his head with a smile—this place really didn't look like it had a telephone.
After Daniel left, Ger sat down at the table and looked intently at the two borrowed books.
Before he knew it, time had passed little by little. It was the sound of the morning bells that pulled Geer's mind away from the book.
Ger rubbed his eyes and realized it was already daylight outside. He'd unknowingly been reading all night. Fortunately, his body had been strengthened, so not sleeping all night hadn't affected him much.
Stepping out of the room, you see a sky as blue as a sapphire and the brilliant morning glow. If you listen carefully, you can also hear the slow footsteps of passersby and the sound of prayer wheels turning.
Ger followed a few mages who were passing by and headed towards the martial arts arena. Some of them recognized Ger as the person who had come yesterday and greeted him politely, to which Ger returned the greeting.
"Didn't you sleep all night?" Daniel asked the first thing he saw in Gel.
Gel nodded and stretched.
“Everyone who comes here is like you; they basically can’t sleep on their first night,” Daniel continued to tease.
Gel couldn't help but smile—as expected, everyone is very excited when they first encounter the magical world.
As the two were talking, Casillas strode over with the five people he had met yesterday.
“So you weren’t scared enough to hide.” Casillas’ first words to Gel were sarcastic.
Gel simply looked at him with a smile: "Why should I hide?"
The tension between the two men caused those who arrived to slow down their pace.
Soon, the Ancient One also arrived at the martial arts arena.
"The Sorcerer Supreme." Everyone bowed to the Ancient One.
The Ancient One smiled and nodded, then said, "This morning's group practice will be postponed a bit. Gel and Kaecilius have agreed to spar here."
Upon hearing this, the people below were somewhat surprised, but many of them immediately looked at Ger with sympathy.
Those who had previously "sparred" with Casillas did not fare well.
Because of his excellent hearing, Ger could hear the whispers of those around him.
"How could Casillas bully even a newcomer?"
"With the Sorcerer Supreme here, Kaecilius shouldn't go too far, right?"
"Wouldn't it have been better if this guy had backed down a little? That's Casillas, after all! Ugh, he's too competitive!"
