However, this joy was instantly overshadowed by a false expression of pity and mourning.
"Today, the world will forever remember all the people of Manhattan Island and the heroes who have worked tirelessly for the planet." Slowly, the eight members of Congress stood up and bowed slightly to the void.
Unfortunately, apart from themselves, no one else has been able to see their performance.
At one end of the Rainbow Bridge in Asgard, Thor, holding Mjolnir, walked up to Heimdall and shouted, "Heimdall, quickly send me back to Earth. The ships will fly there on their own later."
Thor's face showed extreme excitement. Although Odin had only given him a few spaceships, he figured they would be of some help.
Heimdall simply looked at Thor and shook his head slightly: "Thor, you don't need to go."
“How can I not go? Gel and the others are waiting for me! So many damn aliens, I don’t even know where they came from.” Thor frowned and retorted loudly.
But looking at Heimdall's expression, he felt inexplicably uneasy, because there were too many things in Heimdall's eyes that he couldn't understand. It seemed to be shock, but it also seemed to be hatred, regret, and heartache.
"Come and see for yourself." Heimdall waved his hand slightly forward, and the energy within his body surged forward, displaying all the scenes he saw with his All-Seeing Eye to Thor.
However, all Thor could see was a sea of fire.
Heimdall increased the distance, and then Thor saw three mushroom clouds rising into the sky, a sight of flames rising up.
"What happened?" Thor's voice trembled slightly as he looked at Heimdall. He often followed Gale and Jane around Earth, so he naturally recognized Manhattan Island, where they had just fought.
Heimdall's eyes remained vacant. He waved his hand again, and the scene he had just witnessed was replayed on Thor once more.
Thor stared at the scene on the screen, his mouth slowly opening, but he didn't know what to say. After a long while, he simply turned his gaze to the Rainbow Bridge, as if he could see Manhattan Island through the endless void.
"Gale, you'll be alright, won't you?" Thor's hands trembled slightly, his eyes fixed on the distance, as he murmured. Although he couldn't imagine anyone surviving such a world-destroying weapon, he still clung to a sliver of hope, imagining that Gal could pull off a miracle.
The once vibrant Manhattan Island, filled with skyscrapers, has now been reduced to a sea of fire.
In the center of the sea of fire, unseen by anyone, Gel knelt, surrounded by crimson chaos magic that formed a sphere around him, making him appear like a small boat adrift in the flames.
But this "small boat," though swaying, remained steadfast throughout, protecting Ge'er within.
However, Ger just stared blankly ahead, his face expressionless, as if he had suffered a huge blow and was utterly despondent.
"Sizzle!"
The sea of fire continued to crash relentlessly against the red magical shield, producing deafening roars, but Ger remained completely unfazed.
After an unknown amount of time, Ger suddenly raised his head, looked ahead, smiled bitterly, and then tears of blood streamed down his face, flowing more and more until he was unrecognizable.
In that instant, he sensed that everyone had died in front of him.
There were not only strangers there, but also many friends who had come because of his arrangements! If it weren't for him, Banner and Betty might have been conducting experiments in other cities in New York, Harry and Peter might not have been able to arrive so quickly, and there was also Natasha, Rogers, Bronsky, and a whole group of others.
Most importantly, it features Pietro and Wanda.
For some reason, the bitter smile on Gerr's face grew deeper. He suddenly thought of Natasha and Tony.
Natasha once told him that her fate seemed to be trapped in a dead end. The more she wanted to escape the killing and make amends for the sins she had committed, the deeper she sank, and the more sins she accumulated.

The formula he initially gave to a female scientist was the key to the maturation of the Extremis virus and the Extremis serum, and the fundamental reason why everyone was modified by the Extremis serum.
But Ger never told them, or even dared to tell anyone, including Wanda and Peter, that his own fate was what terrified him the most.
He came into this world and, with his almost omniscient perspective on everything that happened in it, did what he thought might change the bad outcome.
However, no matter how hard he tried, things were unfolding in a way that terrified him.
Originally, there should only be the Hulk and Abomination in this world, but now, Betty has also become the She-Hulk. Originally, Gwen, Potts, Natasha, and Rogers would not have been captured by Hydra, nor would they have been modified, and they would not have harmed innocent people.
