The abandoned factory looks much the same as it did a year ago when Peter brought Gerl here.
This time, however, there were five people. A 400-meter running track had also been cleared around the factory, and with Ger's magical control, the length of this 400-meter track was extremely precise.
"I'm about to begin!"
Pietro stood at the starting line, already in a running stance.
Gel, Peter, Harry, and Wanda stood on the factory roof, waiting for the ability test to begin.
Compared to a year ago, all five of them have made great progress in their abilities. In order to better understand each other's abilities, Ger brought the four of them to the abandoned factory early in the morning.
"start!"
Ger shouted and then pressed the stopwatch in his hand.
Meanwhile, Pietro had already taken off running on the track.
Pietro was moving so fast that it was almost invisible to the naked eye, and it even created a gust of wind that sent the weeds piled up around it flying.
Gel waved his arm and used magic to throw the weeds further away, so as not to disturb Pietro's test.
After observing carefully for a moment, Ger noticed something was off. After thinking for a moment, Ger realized that Pietro shouldn't be able to run that fast!
Gel used his magic to sense it and discovered an even more amazing phenomenon: when Pietro stepped on the ground, the space beneath his feet would distort, allowing Pietro to take a step that covered a greater distance, somewhat like the legendary "shrinking the earth to an inch" phenomenon.
Gel remembered that Pietro didn't have this ability in the movie in his previous life. Could it be a change brought about by the Space Stone?
A minute passed quickly, and Geer, timing it perfectly, immediately shouted, "Stop!"
Pietro, who had been moving at breakneck speed, stopped abruptly and stood there looking at Wanda. Wanda, standing to the side, looked miserable and shook her head helplessly: "It was too fast, I couldn't keep up with the count."
Gel was also a little helpless. Although he could sense the situation with magic, he still couldn't keep up with Pietro's running speed. It seemed that he would have to buy some professional equipment next time to test it again.
Hearing Wanda say this, Pietro was very pleased: "This track is no good, I don't feel like I got to run as much as I wanted."
Gel sensed Pietro's physical condition after running and found that his heartbeat had not changed much and his breathing had not increased much, indicating that this speed really did not put any pressure on Pietro.
But looking at the smug Pietro, Gel couldn't help but pat him on the head: "Alright, stop being so cocky. Next up, Wanda."
Wanda nodded and walked towards the front of the factory. There, piles of various heavy dumbbells that had been prepared in advance were stacked up.
These dumbbells were obtained by Gale from S.H.I.E.L.D. According to Director Nick Fury, they were made from high-density meteorite. Ordinary people wouldn't need them, so Gale took most of them.
Wanda waved her hands, and a thick gray light appeared on many heavy dumbbells, with occasional flashes of blue light within the gray light, making it extremely dazzling.
Under Wanda's control, the dumbbell slowly flew into the sky.
Wanda's light golden hair slowly spread out, and the rising sun poured its light onto her face, making her look like a goddess of dawn.
"move!"
With a soft shout from Wanda, the dumbbells in the sky began to rotate rhythmically, like parts in a precision instrument.
Wanda quickly controlled the dumbbells to stay suspended in the air, and then controlled the dumbbells on the ground to fly into the air one by one. She only put all the dumbbells on the ground when her face turned red and she felt exhausted.
Gel had already sensed the weight of the equipment. Seeing Wanda walking happily towards him, he patted her head with satisfaction: "Not bad, your abilities are slowly approaching mine. This time you lifted a total of 3.1 tons of equipment."
Wanda was overjoyed; this was several times better than before!
Next, Harry stepped forward.
This was his first time testing his abilities, so he was a little nervous.
After taking a deep breath, Harry stacked several heavy dumbbells together and began experimenting. Fortunately, the dumbbell plates stacked in front of him were easy for Harry to lift, which gave him a lot of confidence.
Gel controlled the other dumbbell plates to fly up one by one: "Eight tons is easy, nine tons is easy, ten tons is easy, eleven tons is a little difficult... the maximum tonnage is 12.6 tons!"
Harry put the dumbbell plates on the ground and couldn't help but feel happy—it was much higher than he had imagined!
Pietro, being somewhat competitive, immediately went up to try lifting them, only to find that even with all his strength, the dumbbell plates wouldn't budge. So, he walked back dejectedly.
Next up is Peter.
Peter stepped forward and easily lifted Harry's maximum weight without batting an eye. Gel could even feel that Peter hadn't exerted much effort.
The four couldn't help but gasp—even among the five of them with superpowers, Peter seemed far too superhuman.
One dumbbell after another was added until Peter finally reached his limit, when the weight reached 18.9 tons.
After all four of them had finished their tests, they turned their attention to Geer.
Ger put down the pen and paper he was writing on, clapped his hands, and said, "Okay, I'll do it."
Walking towards the dumbbells, Ger waved his right hand, and the stack of dumbbells flew into the air one by one, forming a ladder leading to the sky.
Wanda looked up at the "ladder to heaven" and even wanted to climb it.
As dumbbells flew through the air, Pietro couldn't help but start calculating: "2.6 tons, 2.9 tons, 3.1 tons, 3.8 tons!"
