Chapter Ninety-Three: The Open and Covert Struggles Brought About by Spaceships

Just like every negotiation Nick had done before.

The eight councilors exchanged glances briefly, and after a moment, one of the male councilors nodded: "Trading the Cosmic Cube for a spaceship is well worth it."

Nick's eyes narrowed slightly as he noticed something Nick had deliberately ignored. However, Nick wasn't in a hurry and continued, "Because Asgard was worried that these weapons would eventually be used against them, they restricted the functions of these five spaceships, including their ability to fly to other planets in the universe and their ability to use weapons in combat. The spaceship's AI system is very intelligent; if it recognizes that a weapon is aimed at intelligent life, it will absolutely not fire it."

The faces of the eight councilors around him turned cold at the same time.

“Since it was exchanged for us, why impose so many restrictions?” one of the male councilors said fiercely, blinking his eyes.

They naturally wouldn't completely believe what Nick said, so what they had to do was put pressure on him!

Nick stared intently at him, baring his sharp fangs like a lion, and took a few steps closer, shouting, "That's Asgard, the legendary gods. If it weren't for the fact that Gol saved their prince and that Gol had enough power, they probably would have taken the Tesseract directly. I think you all understand this principle, and perhaps you've all done things like that quite a few times."

Nick glanced around, showing no sign of backing down in the face of the questioning gazes of the councilors.

A moment later, Nick tossed a book at you: "Take a look at this book first, then I'll discuss other things with you."

This book is the same one that Gel gave Nick before, which introduced the powerful races in the universe.

Nick turned his head slightly and exchanged a glance with Gel. After a moment, Gel nodded slightly.

How well they manage to control the situation depends on their cooperation today. However, Gel and Nick are confident because they have a lot of information that only they know.

The spaceship became extremely quiet for a moment, but as the pages of the book were turned, the breathing of the eight senators became increasingly heavy.

"Cough cough."

After a long silence, a male senator cleared his throat, looked up at Nick, and asked, "How much of this book is true?"

This time, it was Ger who stepped forward and took over: "I cannot predict the authenticity of this book, but I did live in Asgard for ten days. Although I did not see the legendary mothership during those ten days, I think there must be more than one in Asgard. Moreover, the soldiers living there, even the most ordinary ones, have physical strength more than three times that of our soldiers, and Odin, the king of the gods, possesses power that even I dare not aspire to."

"Oh, right, there's one more thing I need to tell you. Their Rainbow Bridge, the seven-colored energy bridge you've all seen in the photos, I personally witnessed it destroy a small part of the planet in just over ten minutes. If it hadn't been stopped in time, the planet would have been completely destroyed within an hour."

Upon hearing this, even Nick turned his gaze to Gel, because Gel hadn't even told him about the Rainbow Bridge.

“If you need to see such a world-destroying scene with your own eyes, I can use mind magic to completely simulate the scene in your minds. I just don’t know if you dare to look,” Ger said solemnly, looking at the eight councilors.

The eight councilors took a few deep breaths, unsure of what to say for a moment. After a while, one of them shook his head: "No need. Knowing this information is enough. After all, we cannot enter space at this time."

Then, another female councilor stared intently into Gel's eyes: "Gel, I need you to tell me seriously, what is Asgard's attitude towards Earth? Can they reach Earth at any time via the Rainbow Bridge?"

Gel nodded: "You don't need to worry about Asgard for now. I maintain good relations with them, and they have always acted as protectors of Earth, even helping Earth defend against attacks from evil planets several times. As for the Rainbow Bridge, it can indeed help Asgardians reach any part of Earth at any time."

The councilors narrowed their eyes slightly as they looked at Gel—they keenly caught Gel's statement that he maintained a good relationship with Asgard.

The scene fell silent again. They had too many questions to ask and too many things to weigh, but the most important question before them was what to do with the five spaceships!

It cannot be used as a weapon, but it can be disassembled and studied!

Even the slightest scientific advancement could give their country a significant technological lead over other nations.

They can't deal with the unknown threats for the time being, but competition between countries around the world is happening all the time.

Nick stared intently at the faces of the eight congressmen. After a moment, he slowly spoke: "I will have Gerr escort you back to your offices, and tonight at eight o'clock, we will continue today's meeting. At that time, I hope you can tell me how many scientists each country can send, and what kind of financial support they can provide."

Nick's words were like igniting a fire in a barrel; in an instant, all the councilors looked at each other with a silent confrontation in their eyes.

How the future world order will change may be revealed tonight, just the tip of the iceberg!

Once the portal opened and the eight senators left, Nick immediately sat down.

He knew there was still a tough battle to fight that night.

As Ger looked at the sky, he was slightly lost in thought, but he quickly regained his composure.
