Chapter 58 "Didn't you have something to say to me?...
It was obvious that they couldn't take the train back. Carrying an unconscious person would be too conspicuous, and they couldn't hide it from the station police and the train attendants no matter what.
Fortunately, after the message was relayed by the raven, arrangements had already been made to come and pick them up.
The girl had her head drooping, hugging her knees, revealing her slender white neck. She looked very weak and pitiful. On either side of her stood Giyu Tomioka and Sabito, like two great protectors.
It was quiet all around, and no one spoke.
Zenitsu Agatsuma whispered to his friends to ease his anxiety: "Don't you guys feel like the atmosphere is a bit strange?"
He felt that since the beginning, there had been an inexplicable oppressive atmosphere around him, making it hard to breathe.
Tanjiro Kamado sniffed, frowned, and said, "When you put it that way, it does seem a little true, but how could this happen when the mission went so smoothly?"
Rather than relying on his eyes or his heart, Tanjiro Kamado trusted his sense of smell more. He did indeed smell a scent different from usual, one that made him feel a deep sourness in his heart.
But he didn't quite understand this feeling.
The red-haired boy looked quite confused. He turned his head directly to look in the direction of the girl, while Hashibira Inosuke next to him let out a strange roar for some reason...
Sometimes, Zenitsu Agatsuma really feels that there's a gap between him, Tanjiro Kamado, and Inosuke Hashibira; their levels of thinking might not even be on the same wavelength.
For example, right now, they can't even see such an obvious emotional conflict, and one of them is even recklessly walking into the center of this chaotic situation...
In fact, Zenitsu Agatsuma was immediately captivated by Ori when he first saw her, but his subtle feelings were nipped in the bud by the imposing Giyu Tomioka and Sabito, the two "Water Pillars" of the Demon Slayer Corps.
On top of that, Yoriichi Tsugikuni was added.
The way the red-haired swordsman was embracing the girl was hardly innocent. The prominent veins on his neck and his broad, strong back were arched as if he were holding his possession, wary of those who approached.
Zenitsu Agatsuma didn't know what others were thinking at the time, but Yoriichi Tsugikuni's last glance at him, carrying an imposing aura, made his legs go weak for a moment.
That's the kind of weakness that comes from being unable to fight against absolute power.
—He's Yoriichi Tsugikuni!
Zenitsu Agatsuma covered Tanjiro Kamado's eyes, pressed his head down, and urged, "Alright, get to work."
There was nothing he could do; he felt like he was suffocating, while his friends were completely unaware of it. In a way... this was a good thing.
However, what Zenitsu Agatsuma didn't know was that there were clearly more than just two people who didn't understand the situation.
Tokito Muichiro walked up to the girl and stopped abruptly between Tomioka Giyu and Sabito.
He rested one hand on his knee, leaned forward, and stretched out the other hand. His long black hair flowed like water, and a faint smile appeared on his lips: "Wait a moment, shall I take you down?"
He was referring to the subsequent descent from the mountain.
Unlike the initial complete unfamiliarity with Sheyun Mountain, which required some time to explore, it was impossible to take Azhi up the mountain directly without taking on unknown risks.
But things are different now; Tokito Muichiro is fully capable of taking Aori down the mountain.
After the girl escaped, she looked like a wilted little mushroom growing on the ground, which made Muichiro Tokito a little anxious. Fortunately, Giyu Tomioka and Sabito, who were familiar with her, comforted her.
But why does the more I try to comfort them, the more awkward it seems?
The black-haired swordsman and the flesh-haired swordsman said something to each other, and the girl's mood became increasingly depressed, even the hair that was sticking up on her head drooped down.
So, Tokito Muichiro followed his heart, walked over, and said those words.
Giyu Tomioka: "…………"
Sakoto: "…………"
Zenitsu Agatsuma: That's amazing!
At a young age, he became a renowned Pillar, and the efforts of Muichiro Tokito were fully reflected in his hands.
Aori was startled. She looked up and clearly saw the thick calluses on Tokito Muichiro's palms and fingertips, which were formed over time and gave his white and slender hand the composure of a swordsman.
Above that, you see Muichiro Tokito's lowered face.
The boy had little expression, only his mint-green eyes shimmered with a faint light, but this wasn't very obvious. However, Azhi inexplicably sensed his gentleness in them.
She blinked hesitantly, glanced at her fingers which she had just used to pull weeds, and thought they were still relatively clean, before slowly taking Tokito Muichiro's hand in hers.
Azhi whispered, "Thank you."
She used the strength to stand up, but instead of responding to Tokito Muichiro, she grabbed Tomioka Giyuu's sleeve.
Her fair, delicate fingers stood out against her dark clothes, and the girl's long, drooping eyelashes slowly lifted, like fluttering butterflies.
Under Giyu Tomioka's downcast gaze, Aori looked somewhat apologetic, her beautiful red lips parted slightly, but she said something that could be misunderstood: "However, I want to be with Giyu."
Just now, 000 urged her again, telling her to hurry up and find out the answer. Since there was nothing going on the way back, Azhi thought she would give it a try first.
Completely unaware of how ambiguous her words were, she unconsciously tightened her grip on her fingers, clinging to the black-haired swordsman like a kitten, her eyes filled with seriousness.
However, this seems a bit ungrateful.
Aori glanced cautiously at Tokito Muichiro, and when she didn't notice he was angry, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Sakoto straightened his back, his gaze involuntarily sweeping over, his lips pursed, but he didn't say anything and turned to deal with other matters.
Azhi wanted to ask directly like last time, but before she could utter a sound, she heard 000 suddenly speak up righteously: "You can't ask too directly."
A-Zhi: [...]
This left her speechless.
Because of 000's words, she racked her brains, but even after descending the mountain, she still couldn't figure out how to ask him.
Yin had been waiting for a long time. They brought a cart, the purpose of which was self-evident. However, the first person to get on the cart was not the one who was unconscious.
A-Zhi's mind was full of questions. She was dazed and seemed slow to think, so Yoshiyuki Tomioka naturally made the decision on his own.
The girl was already used to being a hanging ornament, as if she had no legs. She was carried horizontally by Yoshiyuki Tomioka and placed on him, her hands obediently wrapped around his neck.
My bottom landed on solid ground, but it wasn't a hard wooden board.
Azhi held onto the edge of the cart. A haori with a three-colored tortoise shell pattern was placed under her seat. It was not thick but soft enough to fit her perfectly.
She immediately squinted her eyes in enjoyment, but that enjoyment was quickly interrupted.
000 asked in a resentful tone: "Have you forgotten something?"
Azhi's eyes widened, and she lowered her body slightly, half of her face being obscured by the edges. She stared somewhat dejectedly at the black-haired swordsman standing in front of her, talking to Yin.
After a long pause, she sighed deeply and began to feel sorry for herself: "Oh, I'm so useless."
000: They are quite self-aware.
While Aori remained silent, Giyu Tomioka broke the silence between them.
The black-haired swordsman ended his conversation with Yin, and his sharply defined face moved closer to Azhi. His deep blue eyes were not empty; on the contrary, they were much deeper than usual.
Giyu Tomioka asked with a questioning look, "Didn't you have something to say to me?"
