Chapter 55 "Although he woke up early, he didn't..."

Chapter 55 "Although he woke up early, he didn't..."

Yoriichi Tsugikuni felt that he was in a state of confusion.

He couldn't see anything clearly, didn't know where he was, didn't know his own name, and couldn't even think. He felt as if he was isolated by an invisible force.

Time was long enough for him to savor the changes of the four seasons in detail, from the bright sunshine of spring to the scorching heat of summer, then to the crisp autumn air, and then to the snow-covered landscape... and so on, in a continuous cycle.

His world was very peaceful, not the kind of peace where there was no sound at all, where even falling leaves make a sound, let alone the changing seasons, but a peace undisturbed by anything outside.

This kind of life is what many people dream of, where they don't have to worry about making a living.

But Yoriichi Tsugikuni, being in the midst of it all, felt as if a piece of his heart was missing, and would occasionally feel a sharp, piercing pain.

For example, birds hopping on branches, fruits falling from trees to the ground, or wildflowers quietly blooming on the ground... So many beautiful moments that make Yoriichi feel comfortable, but after seeing them, he would feel a little lost.

He seemed unsatisfied with these things, but he couldn't find the answer to the problem no matter what.

However, from a certain moment on, Yoriichi Tsugikuni's world began to become lively. The invisible barrier covering him was torn open, and unprecedented information gradually squeezed in.

There seemed to be many people talking around, but Jiguo Yuan couldn't hear the specific content. However, he was completely captivated by a soft, delicate voice.

The owner of the voice breathed lightly, without the slightest aggression, and occasionally took a few steps, his steps soft and unsteady.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni didn't know why he had noticed these things; he only knew that the voice was like a bright light, miraculously dispelling the chaos surrounding him.

It also particularly captivated his soul.

Every cell in Yoriichi's body screamed with longing for the owner of that voice. He increasingly didn't want to return to the previous peace; he wanted...

It seemed as if something in the universe was responding to him.

Warm, soft fingertips touched his lips, then gently withdrew, but Yoriichi's heart felt as if it had been touched by that hand as well, stirring a subtle flutter within him.

Then, a sweet and pungent liquid entered his mouth. Just one drop could relieve the thirst in his throat that had lasted for hundreds of years. However, this was a liquid he did not want to see and would evoke feelings of fear.

Yoriichi immediately shut his mouth, and the next instant, the invisible shackles that had enveloped his entire body made a dull sound as if they had been shattered, and he broke free of his restraints.

His muscles were aching with an unbearable soreness, as if trying to break him down and send him back into a comfortable slumber.

But Yoriichi Tsugikuni ignored him.

He reached out and grasped his entire world.

********

Even the bravest person would be terrified by what's happening now, let alone A-Zhi.

The large hand encircling her wrist was as strong as steel and unshakeable. The force pulling her was not small, and Azhi was pulled in like a kite.

His buttocks landed firmly, but his legs were obstructed and had to be spread apart on both sides. His upper body slumped down due to the impact of the fall, and his whole body bumped into something hard.

Azhi was very thin, but her lower abdomen and waist had soft flesh like a cat's, so when she fell into the stone coffin in a straddling position, she did not feel any pain in her waist area.

But her forehead was hit squarely, leaving her stunned and unable to think straight.

When Aori first heard that 000 could revive the swordsman of the Warring States period, she was shocked and also felt a natural fear. This was too advanced for her, and she was completely unprepared.

But she still trusted 000, so even though she was uneasy, she tried her best to follow its instructions. She never expected such a terrible thing to happen.

Of course, Aori knew that the person beneath her was Yoriichi Tsugikuni. She also knew a bit about him; he was an extremely powerful swordsman, admired by many, and the founder of the "breathing technique" used by Giyu and Sabito...

But it's still a bit scary.

After all, they lived in different eras, and what Aori knew was all from what she heard from the outside world; she was actually quite unfamiliar with Yoriichi Tsugikuni.

She was trembling all over, her nose was stinging, she took a few deep breaths, her fingers unconsciously gripped something, and she choked back sobs: "Big liar!"

We had already agreed on that.

The girl's voice was trembling with tears; she had forgotten that she was speaking to the system in her mind. She spoke aloud, her beautiful eyes filled with moisture.

She didn't cry loudly, but the tears she couldn't hold back welled up in her eyes, instantly wetting her cheeks and dripping down her chin.

It made the person look even more pitiful.

000's throat tightened; it felt like it was swallowing a bitter pill, unable to express its suffering. It felt like a clown who had been thoroughly humiliated by Yoriichi Tsugikuni, and a slight pang of pain shot through its heart: [I didn't expect him to wake up so early...]

Although 000 knows that Yoriichi Tsugikuni is very powerful and cannot be judged by ordinary standards, he is still human after all, and his current abilities are simply too terrifying.

A system once used this method to help its host complete a task. That was in a fantasy world, and the "stagnant" objects were even other races with extremely powerful bodies. It took them a week to awaken.

Since then, this has almost become a standard for judgment.

But now it seems that Yoriichi Tsugikuni is simply outrageous and unscientific!

A-Zhi couldn't see their current posture, but 000 could see it clearly.

The petite girl collapsed completely onto Yoriichi Tsugikuni, their upper bodies pressed tightly together without a single gap. Her soft, slender neck was slightly turned to the side, and half of her face was pressed against the swordsman's broad chest.

The swordsman was a whole size bigger than the girl, a very obvious size difference. Aori looked like an adorable kitten nestled in Yoriichi's arms. If you ignored her somewhat broken emotions, they actually looked surprisingly harmonious.

000: Harmony my foot!

000 had never regretted it so much in its eight lifetimes. It truly regretted letting Yoriichi Tsugikuni wake up. It could have thought of other ways, which would have just taken longer. Anyway, it had already waited for so many years.

It's going crazy right now because it anticipates even more trouble is yet to come.

But 000 can't go crazy yet.

Azhi was straddling, in a superior position, but both her furrowed brows and distressed expression, and the red-haired swordsman's unwavering grip, indicated that the girl was completely under his control.

If Yoriichi had pulled the line up a little higher, Orihime would probably be nose to nose with him...

000 wished she could manifest herself, knock this extremely rude person unconscious, and take Azhi away from this ominous place. However, all of this was just wishful thinking.

Originally, there was a plan to have Ori perfectly conceal her whereabouts while Yoriichi Tsugikuni was still unconscious, but now it seems that this is just wishful thinking.

It grew increasingly frustrated, but decided to try and appease Azhi first, its electronic voice softening: "Okay, okay, I'm a liar, I'm a liar, get up first..."

000 repeated the girl's accusations against it several times. Although it didn't really want to say anything good about Yoriichi Tsugikuni, it was clear that Aori's feelings were more important.

Even though he woke up early, he won't hurt you.

Azhi understood that she wasn't in any immediate danger, but she didn't want to speak for the time being. After a while, when she regained some strength, she sobbed, "I was really scared this time."

She was already afraid of these kinds of things and rarely dared to even think about them. Just now, she was so frightened that her heart almost stopped. If she hadn't been in good health, Azhi would have thought she might have already gone to heaven.

Azhi wiped away her tears, her eyes reddening, and continued her accusation: "You've done this so many times!"

"I'm sorry, it won't happen again." Knowing it was in the wrong, it didn't try to shirk responsibility. After apologizing, it immediately added, "Get down first, you can scold me later!"

It really couldn't bear the girl and the red-haired swordsman being so close for even a moment longer, especially since it already knew that Yoriichi Tsugikuni was awake, even though he hadn't opened his eyes yet.

—You can criticize it anytime, but why reward Yoriichi Tsugikuni?

Only then did Aori notice how close she was to Yoriichi Tsugikuni's face, even closer than when she had observed him before. So close that if Aori turned slightly to the side, her forehead would touch a place that shouldn't be touched.

She was suddenly startled, and all the strange feelings she had ignored suddenly surged up all at once.

Aori immediately tried to sit up, but with Yoriichi Tsugikuni's obstruction, her still weak limbs were not enough to support her in achieving her goal.

So, his forehead tapped lightly again.

Perhaps sensing the unease in the girl's expression, the red-haired swordsman released his grip on Aori, slowly sliding down her waist and finally stopping on her lap.

Two hands, each on one side, seemingly rest lightly on the surface, but in reality, they contain a force that does not allow the person in their palms to leave, as if they are afraid that the person in their palms will be taken away.

She tried to break free, but as soon as she moved slightly against his chest, she felt the hand on her leg tighten down, indicating its rejection.

Aori was about to burst into tears again. She felt that Yoriichi Tsugikuni was being unreasonable, and what made it even more infuriating was that when she sat up, she realized that he was still keeping his eyes closed.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni didn't seem to be fully awake yet, but he didn't let go of the hand that was still gripping Aori's leg, as if all his actions were instinctive reactions.

His face remained expressionless, but for some reason, one could tell from the corners of his eyes and brows that he wasn't entirely calm.

Aori's mind was in a mess. She didn't know what she should or shouldn't be thinking at this moment. In a daze, she noticed the similarities between Yoriichi Tsugikuni and Kokushibo.

His body lines were also very strong and beautiful, with muscles bulging on his chest, making his clothes bulge. Azhi immediately withdrew her hand from his chest.

This time, she was certain that she wasn't imagining things; she didn't know when Yoriichi's heartbeat had returned.

That heart, which had been stagnant for hundreds of years, began to beat vigorously, eagerly, and powerfully again in Azhi's palm, as if silently telling a story.

Azhi's breathing became heavier; she vaguely knew what was about to happen, and her body trembled slightly involuntarily.

In the dimly lit, cramped space, Yoriichi Tsugikuni's eyelashes fluttered twice before he slowly lifted his eyelids, revealing his deep, slightly bloodshot eyes.

Azhi saw her own reflection in his eyes.

His expression was calm, seemingly without a trace of doubt about the current situation, his gaze fixed intently on Azhi's face, his beautifully curved lips slightly parted for a moment.

After a moment, once he saw what it was, Yoriichi Tsugikuni's expression finally changed. He frowned, released one hand, and slowly brought his slightly rough fingertips closer.

Azhi flinched and tried to close her eyes, sweat beading on her back, only to find that he had simply gently removed a single, glistening tear from her eyelashes.
