Metropolitan Lostbelt (Sixteen) Epilogue – End of Main Text…

1.

"It's a shame we couldn't decide a winner this time," Kirshtalia shrugged, looking at her hand that was gradually turning transparent, and murmured with a hint of regret.

"It's alright, then let's wait for our next meeting!" Fujimaru Ritsuka said. "I will never admit defeat!"

"Really...that's wonderful."

The young man's words drifted away with the frigid air over the vast Arctic sky. Meanwhile, a clear and familiar voice rang out from Chaldea's communications.

"Test! Chaldea members scattered throughout the land, can you hear me?" Goldrov said. "Control room confirms that the Imaginary Tree has withered. This mission was a perfect score."

“Well done, Fujimaru Ritsuka who has been fighting on the front lines, Mash Kyrielight, and Kadoc Zemrups who has been gathering intelligence.”

"Once everyone returns to Storm Border, this ship will leave the Lostbelt and return to its normal route to Antarctica. Don't forget to write your report, or you won't get overtime pay!"

After bidding farewell to her old friends, Fujimaru Ritsuka and her Servants embarked on their journey home.

Kirshtalia watched them leave, and he calmly dissipated.

Just like before.

This time, he witnessed Chaldea's quest to end the seven Lostbelts and stride confidently toward its conclusion. He also saw the returning doctor, and the Master the doctor had trained, despite bearing a heavy burden, shone even brighter.

This was better than he had ever imagined.

2.

The day Chaldea left was a beautiful day; winter had passed and spring had arrived.

After the Imaginary Tree disappeared, the anchor point to this world also ceased to exist.

Fujimaru Ritsuka had a premonition that this would be their last meeting, so she gave each of her friends from the other world a hug and a simple yet sincere blessing.

May you be safe and healthy.

Holmes signed autographs for several of his fans, though he still did not admit whether he actually existed.

Storm Border took off with the entire Chaldea team, soaring into the sky, never to return.

The fantastical Chaldea thus became an unspoken legend among superheroes. Long, long ago, there lived a brave young girl…

When their juniors interrupted their elders' fairytale-like narration, their barely concealed curiosity prompting them to ask if such a hero truly existed.

They always nodded with a shared smile, sincerely hoping in their hearts that the little heroine was safe and happy in her world.

3.

Ten days later, in Chaldea.

"Actually, Master, I only intended to cause a little trouble, really." Moriarty opened his eyes wide, trying to persuade his cold-faced Master.

But the 50-year-old wicked uncle's attempt to sell naivety was clearly not very effective.

Fujimaru Ritsuka remained completely unmoved by his clumsy acting. She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow, signaling him to continue pretending. This time, she was determined not to let him off easily!

Moriarty looked away in disappointment, then quickly started thinking. He was the only one caught by his Master while everyone else remained undetected—that didn't make sense, did it?

The villain smirked, deciding to shift the blame. "Ahem, actually, you know there are some things I can't do alone, Master. You can't be biased, can you?"

"Hmm, tell me about it."

"For example, that wretched Sherlock Holmes!" The first target was naturally his damned nemesis. "That guy joined our plan after the Gotham Singularity!"

"……ah?"

"And there's Red Enma, Nitocris, and Miss Ereshkigal; they're in charge of the dead part of the Mihana Singularity."

"...Huh??"

"Koyanskaya and Queen Morgan are responsible for sending Servants carrying the Holy Grail into another world."

"……ha?!!"

A dozen minutes later, Fujimaru Ritsuka, with a smile on her face, chose to cover Moriarty's mouth. Haha, if we don't stop him, won't all of Chaldea be without a single loyal, good, or virtuous retainer?

But Moriarty still shouted in his decaying voice, "None of the Servants who have appeared are innocent!!"

Wow.

Chaldea is doomed.

But the mastermind behind the scenes was very satisfied. This time, the plan to cause trouble had far exceeded expectations. Not only did it give Chaldea the ability to be independent of Earth, but it also improved their Master's magic circuits and even managed to bring back three Servants.

It's reliable and profitable, I'll definitely come back next time.

4.

Roman spent a long time figuring out what Chaldea had gone through after he left, and what Ritsuka and Mash had experienced. But compared to everything that New Chaldea had gone through, this period was far too short.

Until the truth about Chaldea was revealed and the familiar name of the alien god came into view, the former acting commander of Chaldea remained silent for a while before choosing to walk out of the room and clear his mind inside the storm border.

He always wondered if the catastrophe of humanity would never have happened if he hadn't won the Holy Grail War in the first place.

If he were still in Chaldea after preventing the burning of Humanity, would he have been able to save more of the Chaldea employees who fought alongside them?

If he... but there are no ifs.

He had no other choice but to prevent the burning of humanity. Moreover, even if he did continue his journey with New Chaldea, he probably wouldn't be able to do any better than they are now.

The new director turned out to be a better fit than he expected, leading Chaldea forward; Leonardo da Vinci left behind a contingency plan to continue supporting Chaldea, just like her; and the others who joined later also provided indispensable help to Chaldea to varying degrees.

In reality, he couldn't play any irreplaceable role—he just felt a little regretful looking at Ritsuka now.

It's a pity I couldn't witness her growth, and a pity I couldn't stand behind her and support her without hesitation at crucial moments.

It's a pity... I missed so much time with her.

"Hey, doctor!!" At the corner, Fujimaru Ritsuka abruptly stopped her jogging pace, stumbling and almost bumping into Roman. "I feel like I rarely see you in the hallway."

She thought for less than a second, rolled up the report she needed to submit and stuffed it into her pocket, then pulled the doctor up and said happily, "Perfect timing! The cafeteria has a new dessert today, and I was just wondering who to ask to go with me!"

Roman was pulled into the cafeteria before he could react, or rather, he wouldn't have refused Ritsuka's invitation at all. After receiving the stares of a bunch of Heroic Spirits, he suddenly felt relieved.

There's nothing wrong with things being the way they are now.

What's past is past; look forward.

A few days later, life in Chaldea gradually returned to normal, and Roman chose to start working as a psychiatrist. On his first day, his good colleague, Leonardo da Vinci the Younger, gave him an unforgettable congratulatory gift.

—Da Vinci Workshop has released a new photo of him holding Ritsuka and Mashu, crying his heart out.

High definition, unedited.

A regular at the workshop, an anonymous Master bought it immediately and gave it a sharp review: "It's really amazing that the Doctor can make Solomon's face look so vulnerable when he cries."

Roman collapsed to the ground, feeling that this couldn't continue, and stormed into Leonardo da Vinci's studio.

Little Leonardo da Vinci stood amidst a pile of messy parts, admiring her perfect work. "I truly am a genius! Even my photography skills are perfect!"

"Yes!" Roman interrupted her self-absorbed irritably. "Genius, a genius with a twisted sense of humor!"

Upon hearing this accusatory tone, Da Vinci knew who it was without even turning his head. "Hey Romani, believe it or not, this photo, while not as popular as the candid shot of Ritsuka, is still a bestseller."

That was when they had just returned from the Lostbelt, and Roman was still cramming on his Lostbelt journey.

She was worried that Romani would become mentally unstable if he stayed alone any longer, so she sent Ritsuka and Mashu to find him with strawberry cake.

Who would have thought that as soon as he stepped out the door, without even glancing at the cake, he immediately hugged the two girls and started crying, and the scene of the girls helplessly comforting him was captured by Leonardo da Vinci.

"Ha, is that the key?" Roman exclaimed in disbelief. "My image, just like that, shattered into pieces!"

"Hmm, Romani, if that's all you're worried about, you're overthinking it. Even if you go back to using Solomon's identity, in their eyes, a doctor is still a doctor."

And so, Roman was so fooled by Leonardo da Vinci that he forgot his confident demeanor just moments before. He left da Vinci's workshop in a daze, pondering da Vinci's smiling words, and then, belatedly, realized what had happened.

Doesn't this imply that he, as a doctor, has no image to speak of?!

"da Vinci!"

5.

Chaldea is still Chaldea.

Roman finally realized this when he first participated in the summer activities disguised as Solomon.

Strange yet familiar Servants, a summer event that will never be peaceful, perhaps the only change is the ever-growing corps of Heroic Spirits.

Having resolved the singularity in a spectacular fashion, and now that he could finally enjoy the beautiful summer, Roman chose to head straight for the Servant Festival.

"Doctor! Are you here to buy doujinshi too?" Mashu was pleasantly surprised to see Roman at the Servant Festival, and she quickly walked over to him.

"Of course, how could I miss these things?" Roman looked around but didn't see any familiar figures. "Eh, Mashu, isn't Ritsuka with you?"

"Senpai went to see Artoria and Oberon. Doctor should know Oberon, right? He's the mastermind behind this." Mashu, carrying a stack of doujinshi, said as she walked with Roman, "Did Doctor need something from Senpai?"

"It's not really anything serious..." Roman scratched his head, but he habitually looked for her and checked on her condition.

They chatted casually, and after leaving the venue, they somehow ended up on the beach. Roman immediately noticed a girl running freely on the sand, chasing the sun and moving forward as if she would never stop.

The journey at Chaldea continues.

They may encounter even more difficulties, and countless hardships may try to stop them from reaching their end, but nothing will make them give up. They will firmly walk on the path of saving human history.

Fujimaru Ritsuka firmly believes that in the end, it will definitely be a happy ending for everyone.

"Updated Ways to Die Every Day":

Lin Jue

Former new streamer in the gaming section: lured into a fully immersive game where you can't quit until you finish it by spending money;

The now-lost winery researcher is waiting at the airport for a bottle of wine to take him away.

Good news: His live stream popularity is soaring, and the gifts he receives are bringing him close to those of streamers with millions of followers.

Bad news: His game attributes and skills were completely randomized, and he could only look at the skill list: level 0 Research, level 10 Rhetoric and Skillful Hands, leaving him speechless with despair.

[What is a disastrous start? - Any streamer not nominated is just a random ranking!!]

[Don't cry, streamer, haha, it's only the time it takes to shoot one bullet per second~]

Lin Jue: ...as if his defenses were breached.

What to do? There was no benefactor descending from the heavens, no halo of wisdom descending from the sky. He could only, "If my ability is insufficient, I'll make up for it with rhetoric; if I face a life-or-death crisis, I'll use my skillful hands to save the day."

"Death Notice" is the first suspenseful holographic game from Infinite Company. Players will enter the game with a random identity and receive a death notice for that identity in the future.

Players must avoid death within a limited time. Each notification allows for three save/load attempts; failure ends the game—for Lin Jue, failure means death.

then,

On November 6, a police officer from the investigation department received a notification from his superior that the police had received a tip from a kind-hearted person that a bomber was hiding in the Mihana XX Street.

Lin, who conceals his merits and fame, says: Great, this way Bourbon will have time to accompany him to the party and help him take the fall.

On the eve of his death, an undercover agent at a winery was exposed. The weak researcher he was guarding suddenly drugged and kidnapped him. But when he woke up, he suddenly became an outstanding employee of the winery who refused to submit to evil forces, and was promoted and received a raise all at once.

Lin (who reads the save file three times) said: "Although we are only friends... but when you die, I die too, three times in total!"

#It didn't say there would only be one notification letter#

#Witnessing the Diversity of Ways to Die#

Having become an undisputed legendary streamer in the gaming section, Lin Jue finally shed his image as a weak researcher and smiled brightly at his former colleagues from the winery who were besieging him.

"How about we make a bet?"

He opened his arms, completely unguarded.

"I'll make sure your guns are out of bullets!"

Ritsuka the Witch's Journey:

Ritsuka is an immortal witch who doesn't remember how she came into this world. Her adoptive guardian left after she came of age, leaving behind more money, real estate, and countless magical props than she could ever spend in several lifetimes.

And so, Ritsuka embarked on a long journey alone. She would only stop occasionally to find homeless children, raise them until they turned eighteen, and then quietly leave again.

However, looking at the scene before her, she had a feeling that her peaceful journey was about to come to an end.

A black-haired girl transforms into a little detective: "Ritsuka-neechan?!"

A blonde, purple-eyed fake liquor drinker: "Sis...sis?"

A long-haired alchemy master: "Master, we've finally found you."

Congratulations! Congratulations! Miss Witch's life is no longer lonely.
