Mihana Singularity (15): Night Talk and Attack

Mihana Singularity (15): Night Talk and Attack

The two of them, their eyes meeting, knew exactly what was going on.

“Yes, they are all family members I cannot abandon.” Fujimaru Ritsuka looked up at the clear sky. “And I do come from somewhere else.”

She extended her hand, revealing a trustworthy smile. "Let me reintroduce myself. I am Fujimaru Ritsuka, from Chaldea. I came here to correct the singularity and retrieve the Holy Grail."

After briefly explaining Chaldea and his own situation, Matsuda Jinpei had a look of sudden realization. He understood why Miyamoto Musashi knew her and why she knew the true names of so many Servants.

"So, this is all just infighting?" Matsuda Jinpei pointed out incisively. "Your people cause trouble, and your people clean up the mess. Looks like you're quite used to it?"

“Who told me to be everyone’s Master?” Fujimaru Ritsuka smiled helplessly and gently. “Chaldea has always been like this, and we’re used to it.”

Aside from unavoidable crises, most of the time certain Servants in Chaldea will create all sorts of novel activities for various strange reasons.

In any case, as long as the masterminds are defeated, the story will always have a happy ending, or we will see a new side of some Servants, or we will get to know new bonds.

“Officer Matsuda, you don’t need to worry about the real world.” Fujimaru Ritsuka knew Matsuda Jinpei’s real reason for stopping her. As expected of a police officer, his focus was easy to guess.

"After the singularity is repaired, BB's actions will be rationalized. Anything beyond the scope of current human technology, anything that doesn't exist in reality, will not be left behind..."

Seeing Matsuda Jinpei's ever-changing expression, Ritsuka's voice suddenly softened as she frantically tried to cover it up, "Ah, I didn't mean that—"

“I know,” Matsuda Jinpei interrupted her. He put his hands in his pockets, touched his cigarette case but didn’t take it out. “I was prepared to sacrifice myself, but… it’s a little regrettable.”

He promised to avenge Hagi, but he fell just short.

"But everything is already set in stone, and I have no power to change it." In the darkness, the man, who was originally unapproachable, laughed self-deprecatingly, revealing a lonely expression.

"I'm just wondering, what am I like right now? Am I really myself?"

“Yes.” Fujimaru Ritsuka said decisively, “Remember Ereshkigal and Smoke Mirror? Your soul was probably captured by one of them and handed over to BB.”

She looked intently at Matsuda Jinpei, "In this game, your soul weighs as much as ours."

"...That's wonderful." Matsuda Jinpei laughed, casually ruffling Ritsuka's hair with his hand. He'd actually been comforted by a child younger than himself.

To have such a fantastic experience even after death, I must brag to the blond-haired teacher later.

Thinking of Rei Furuya, fragments of his memories before he regained them flashed through his mind. Most people might not notice Amuro Tooru's awkwardness in front of the orange-haired girl, but his friend Jinpei Matsuda could see it very easily.

But after getting to know this girl, he found her to be surprisingly kind and approachable, not at all unpleasant. So why did Furuya behave so strangely?

Matsuda Jinpei asked, "By the way, how did you come to know the doctor, I mean the actor who plays him?"

“Oh, that?” Fujimaru Ritsuka replied naturally. “One of my troublemakers took over the criminal organization he was running, and that’s when we met.”

Matsuda Jinpei: "...?"

Huh? Don't say such weighty things in such a calm tone!

How come an organization that could infiltrate Furuya and Morofushi suddenly seems to have become a nobody?!

"Excuse me for asking," Matsuda Jinpei couldn't suppress his curiosity any longer, "but if you can't tell me, there's no need to force yourself. What's the real name of the Servant you mentioned?"

Who on earth is so powerful?

"James Moriarty."

"Oh, James... Moriarty!!!"

"Achoo!" Outside the game, Moriarty, who had just finished dealing with his subordinates' reports, rubbed his nose silently and complained as usual, "I have to admit I'm getting old. People who exploit a man in his fifties are really inhumane."

"Hmm~ Maybe your senior is just thinking about you~." BB's voice came from the unlit phone. Moriarty sighed. Even though the phone was off, the super AI really was cheating.

"Damn it, don't scare me like that!" he protested. "Instead of wasting time, why don't you check on how the Master is doing?"

"Hmm, no progress at all." BB shook her head dramatically. "It seems like this senior is particularly slow-witted. BB even had to go and give this poor senior, who's eating wild vegetables, a hint~"

“Oh, I think there will be progress soon.” Moriarty smiled and offered the opposite opinion. “The elements are all there; all that’s missing is the final spark.”

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and the person outside called out "Advisor!" in a somewhat urgent tone. Moriarty had just said "Come in" when the person rushed in, speaking excitedly and rapidly.

Finally, he concluded, "Advisor, this organization will soon be under our control! The current boss has been killed, and his faction is either dead or has surrendered, except for that woman Vermouth…!"

"It's okay, we made a deal before, let's give her a break this time."

But before the man could speak, he saw the indifferent gaze of the consultant and immediately swallowed his words.

The incandescent light shone directly down from the ceiling, blurring Moriarty's face.

He sat behind his desk with a smile, like a smug mastermind recounting his crime at the end of a play, or a spider with its fangs outstretched, patiently waiting for its prey to fall into its trap.

The newcomer lowered his head, pondering. Should he trust the advisor? Such a large organization had been taken down almost effortlessly by the elegant man before him; what could a mere escaped member possibly do?

Moriarty, however, was only thinking that he didn't want to deal with this mess after his Master returned. Once Ritsuka won and obtained the evidence of organized crime from BB, he could step down.

After everyone left, BB suddenly asked, "Professor, aren't you spoiling your Master too much? Shouldn't things like changing fate be left to your senior?"

Moriarty: "In the first two worlds, we had to share some of our magic power with Ritsuka so that she could participate fully, but now we don't need to. We only have a little left to achieve the wonderful future we desire."

As dawn broke, the late autumn air grew chilly. Fujimaru Ritsuka yawned and prepared to wash her face in the nearby stream to clear her head.

"Hey, what were you whispering about with Morofushi and his servant so early this morning? I noticed Morofushi was giving you a really weird look." Matsuda Jinpei grabbed Fujimaru Ritsuka's shoulder from behind.

He was genuinely curious. Morofushi Kagemitsu rarely showed his emotions on his face, and even though he had no memory of it, such obvious disapproval was extremely rare.

What could have said to elicit such an expression from his old friend?

"Whoa!" Fujimaru Ritsuka was startled and broke free of her restraints to create some distance. She breathed a sigh of relief when she realized it was someone she knew.

"This? Hmm...it's a secret?" She winked playfully. "But we might find out soon," she muttered to herself.

"Hey, Ritsuka, good morning!" Miyamoto Musashi waved energetically. She walked over to Ritsuka's side. "What are you two talking about?"

"It's a little secret, Musashi-sensei, did you sleep well last night?"

Miyamoto Musashi raised the corners of her mouth, but before she could answer, she saw the tree branch in front of her sway slightly.

The next second, a sudden gust of wind arose.

His tall figure blocked out the rising sunlight, casting a heavy shadow on the ground, plunging the forest back into darkness. With a whoosh of wind, he rushed swiftly into Ritsuka's camp.

Then, without hesitation, he punched Fujimaru Ritsuka.

"Watch out!" Miyamoto Musashi swiftly grabbed Ritsuka in front of him and Matsuda Jinpei beside him, then leaped into the air, using the trees as footholds to flip over the dark figure.

In mid-air, her gaze met Hercules' raised eyes. As their eyes locked, she saw the madness and terrifying fighting spirit in his eyes.

Before they could even look for them, they actually came to their door! Was this part of the undercover doctor's plan?

But she arrived just in time; she also wanted to avenge Tristan for being the last one standing!

After Miyamoto Musashi landed with Ritsuka and Matsuda Jinpei, the others who had heard the commotion rushed over. She grabbed Asclepius, "Hey, you and this big guy must know each other, right? Any ideas?"

"Tch, I thought the common sense of summoning had already told you that Berserkers have no reason. Our past relationship is now completely useless."

Although this [object] remains fascinating, it is very suitable for the advancement of medical skills. Asclepius, with his hands behind his back, looked at Heracles with a curious gaze.

"But if we're talking about how to defeat him, shouldn't that Master over there have more ideas?"

"Hey, you two, at least consider the timing of your chat!" Little Leonardo da Vinci complained as she struggled to block Heracles' attack. Before the next punch landed, she took a step back, and two miniature cannons appeared beside her.

"Aim at the target, fire! Fire! ☆"

The deafening roar of cannons rained down on Hercules. One second, two seconds—from the thick smoke, a hand suddenly reached out and sent Leonardo da Vinci flying, crashing into a tree trunk behind him.

The tree trunk broke. Little Leonardo da Vinci, noticing Ritsuka's sudden change in expression, waved his hand to wipe the blood from his mouth and said nonchalantly:

"Cough cough, although I didn't expect to kill him, isn't it a bit too much that he didn't even break the skin!"

The young man, who held the title of "God of Healing," strolled up to Leonardo da Vinci, a blue light flashing between them. "Alright... you don't need to pay this time."

"Just realized? This guy is practically cheating!" Miyamoto Musashi drew his sword and charged forward, the silver blade slicing a semicircle as he blocked the palm strike.

Then, with a shout of "Guard!" from Fujimaru Ritsuka, Hercules froze instantly. In the blink of an eye, the sound of air being cut rang out, Miyamoto Musashi's gaze sharpened, and he swung his sword down with force, severing Hercules' arm.

In an instant, the splashing blood spread into a stream, meandering into the water and completely staining the clear stream red.

"What perfect teamwork!" Miyamoto Musashi leaped back and gave Fujimaru Ritsuka a high-five as she raised her hand. "Looks like this guy is just a mortal after all!"

She looked up at Fujimaru Ritsuka, her gaze conveying a clear message: what to do next—run or press the attack?

Fujimaru Ritsuka hesitated for a moment, then quickly said, "I have an idea, but I'm not very confident about it. Let's take a gamble."

Conan, who had been led into hiding by Matsuda Jinpei and Morofushi Kagemitsu, vaguely heard Fujimaru Ritsuka's words and felt a sense of danger rising in his heart. He shouted at the top of his lungs, "Assistant sister, what are you doing!"

"Hey! What are you yelling about, kid!"

"..."

"Ritsuka?!"
