Chapter 28: Kill the Flying Zombie and Break the Dream

Chapter 28: Kill the Flying Zombie and Break the Dream

If you want to break this dream and return to real life, you must first find the key to breaking this dream.

Qing Yanrou quickly calculated with her fingers while walking towards the direction indicated by the hexagram. She was so focused on the calculations that she didn't notice that danger was coming towards them.

"careful."

Chu Tingbai saw something flying towards them quickly. In the blink of an eye, it was almost in front of them and attacked them fiercely.

His pupils constricted, and he quickly pulled Qing Yanrou away to avoid the attack.

Qing Yanrou only noticed the flying zombie when it was about to reach her. She couldn't help but secretly annoyed herself for being so slow. Unexpectedly, Chu Tingbai's reaction was faster and helped her avoid the attack.

Seeing that the two men had dodged his attack, Fei Jiang attacked them again angrily. Qing Yanrou protected Chu Tingbai behind him.

Then he tapped the vital point a few times to remove the seal. His spiritual energy instantly surged, and the light of merit behind him was even brighter than before during the Taoist assessment.

She couldn't bring the talismans in, and the only magic weapon she brought, the mountain ghost coins, was left outside. She could only bite her fingers and use her merits to draw talismans in the air.

The flying zombie saw her intention and pounced on her even more ferociously.

She had only succeeded once in her practice of drawing talismans in mid-air, so she was now highly focused, dodging the attacks of the flying zombies while drawing the talisman with difficulty.

Chu Tingbai noticed her difficulty and walked out from behind her to attract Fei Jiang's attention. Understanding his idea, Qing Yanrou drew the talisman even faster.

The zombie, having reached the flying zombie level, had its own thoughts and saw through their tricks, so it ignored him and continued to attack Qing Yanrou with full concentration.

Qing Yanrou was drawing the talisman with difficulty with her right hand, and was using her left hand to block the attack of the flying zombie. The flying zombie was very strong, and her elbow collided with it, causing her elbow to go numb immediately, while the flying zombie only took a few steps back.

Chu Tingbai looked anxious. He had never felt so helpless before. He swung the wooden stick in his hand and hit the flying zombie, but the stick broke instantly.

The flying zombie just turned around and bared its teeth at him to express its anger, and then started fighting with Qing Yanrou again.

Holding the half-broken wooden stick in his hand, Chu Tingbai rolled forward to Qing Yanrou's side and collided head-on with the flying zombie.

He quickly poked the wooden stick into the flying zombie's eyes. The flying zombie roared angrily and rushed forward madly.

Chu Tingbai held Qing Yanrou in his arms and rolled to the other side. Just as the flying zombie attacked again, Qing Yanrou finally succeeded in drawing the talisman.

She opened her lips slightly and said, "Go."

The talisman blocked their way, and the flying zombie was in a state of anger because its eyes were destroyed by Chu Tingbai. It attacked them quickly and fiercely, and had no time to stop, and crashed into the talisman.

With a 'sizzle' sound, the flying zombie seemed to be roasted by fire, with black smoke coming out of his body. He roared in pain in a hoarse voice.

That talisman was drawn with Qing Yanrou's blood and virtue. The light of virtue is the most powerful in overcoming the evil things in this world. Under the effect of the talisman, the flying zombie roared unwillingly, and finally turned into a speck of dust and disappeared from this world.

The flying zombie dissipated, and they returned to real life. Unexpectedly, the flying zombie was the key to breaking the dream.

Chu Tingbai woke up and found himself still sitting on the office chair, but the door of his office was broken and half hanging there crookedly.

In front of him, there were objects that looked like coins and talismans that were rotating around him in an orderly manner in the air, violating Newton's laws.

Feeling a warmth on his hand, he looked to the side and saw Qing Yanrou holding the chair with one hand and resting the other on his arm, supporting her body in this way to enter his dream.

Qing Yanrou had not opened her eyes yet. He stretched out his other hand and carefully took the little hand off his arm. He slowly stood up, held her shoulders with both hands and helped her to the chair.

As soon as she sat down, she opened her eyes weakly and met Chu Tingbai's eyes.

He was a little overwhelmed, and finally could only whisper: "Thank you."

It seemed like he didn't know what to say except thank you.

Qing Yanrou pulled the corner of her mouth weakly and said weakly, "Let me sleep for a while."

After saying that, she fell asleep again. Looking at her tired face, Chu Tingbai pursed his lips tightly and frowned.

He picked her up from the office chair and walked towards the lounge next door.

The mountain ghost coins and talismans moved as he walked, always surrounding the two of them.

After putting her on the bed and covering her with a thin quilt, Chu Tingbai planned to go out, but the talisman and the mountain ghost money were still surrounding them.

After pondering for a while, he returned to the bed, pulled over a chair and sat down, just sitting there.

Her eyes unconsciously drifted towards the person sleeping on the bed. Qing Yanrou's frown began to slowly relax, but her face could not hide the fatigue, and her lips were pale.

He suddenly remembered the scene in his dream where she bit her finger and drew talismans with blood. He carefully lifted the corner of the quilt, gently held her wrist, and slowly turned over her palm. Sure enough, he saw several teeth marks and dried blood on her right index finger.

His eyes were slightly downcast, with a gloomy look in them.

He stood up and prepared to go to the office in front to find a Band-Aid, but after taking two steps, the mountain ghost money and talisman blocked his way.

Knowing that this was her thing, and knowing even more that she had made it to prevent any accidents, he had no choice but to go back to the bed and sit on the chair.

His palm lightly grasped the bloody finger, and his fingertips gently rubbed the slightly indented teeth marks, his eyes staring at the person in front of him without blinking.

Thinking of the images that flashed through his mind from time to time, he immediately remembered himself who was useless in the dream. He lightly touched his cheek with his tongue and made an impatient sound of "tsk".

-

Qing Yanrou slept for the entire afternoon. When she woke up again, it was completely dark. The neon lights outside shone through the window, preventing the room from being completely dark.

Just as she was about to move, she found that her hand was being held by someone. She turned her head and saw Chu Tingbai sitting on a chair beside the bed, his head slightly tilted, his eyes closed, and one hand gently holding her.

His skin was already fair, and it was particularly bright in this dim room.

I could feel the warmth in my palms, and even because we held hands for so long, there were some slight sweat on my palms.

Somehow she felt her cheeks getting slightly hot, and she felt a little awkward and overwhelmed. This was the first time she had experienced this feeling in eighteen years.

She found her face getting hotter and her hands sweating more and more, so she had to carefully pull her hands out, but as soon as she moved her hands were suddenly held tightly.
