Chapter 104 Song Xingyao Wakes Up

He glanced at the disheveled woman on the floor and stood up from the sofa.

He instructed the bodyguard standing nearby, "Don't let her die."

Fu Siming left Baiye and took a detour to the laboratory, where he was currently working on deconstructing the drug's ingredients.

If what Yes says is true, how much longer can the child wait?

Could it be?

He had never felt so powerless, to be outmaneuvered by a woman.

I drove back to the hospital and looked at the woman in the intensive care unit.

Her pale and emaciated appearance resembled a body scattered on a beach, pecked away by passing vultures until only withered bones remained.

It's only been half a month...

He was still staring inside, lost in thought, and the slight twitching of his fingers made him think he was hallucinating.

After staring at her for a long time, he finally got a reaction from Song Xingyao.

"Doctor! Where's the doctor?!" His voice echoed throughout the corridor.

He ran into the intensive care unit and saw that Song Xingyao's eyes were slightly open, only then realizing that this was not his hallucination.

Soon, doctors flooded in and filled the ward.

After checking her over, Song Xingyao fell asleep again during the process.

But the doctor breathed a sigh of relief: "Don't worry, Mr. Fu, Madam has woken up and is out of danger. We can remove the oxygen mask and observe her for a while before she can be transferred to a regular ward."

After the doctor left, Fu Siming dared not leave, afraid of missing any trace of her faint consciousness.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, I looked at her skin, which had become even whiter from not going out for so long, and her once smooth hair, which had become a little frizzy from all the suffering she had endured.

He disobeyed and covered one side of her face.

Fu Siming reached out and smoothed her hair before speaking to her.

She mentioned that her child had been born, that the flowers in her house had recently bloomed, and that she had already eaten the cookies she had made.

But not a single word of it is true.

He didn't even go to see the children; he didn't admire the flowers in the house, and he couldn't bear to eat the cookies, which are still stored at home...

But Song Xingyao didn't react at all, and remained lying there calmly as always.

It was as if the brief moment of clarity just now had never happened.

Fu Siming hadn't had a proper rest in a long time due to working non-stop, and his eyes were gradually becoming sore and heavy.

Finally, holding her hand, he lay down beside her and fell into a deep sleep.

Moonlight shone on their clasped hands, and a delicate warmth flowed between them.

The next day, Song Xingyao suddenly opened her eyes, and the dark, enclosed space in front of her was no longer there.

The warm touch on her hand made her want to pull her hand away.

Looking down, I saw a fluffy head lying next to me.

A warm tear rolled down my cheek and dripped onto the pillow.

Fu Siming was awakened by the noise.

Seeing Song Xingyao's face, she finally couldn't help but tear up slightly, "You're finally awake."

Even so, he calmed down and went to see a doctor.

After the doctor finished the examination and gave a positive answer, he left.

Only the two of them remained in the room.

Song Xingyao reached out to touch him, but the incision on her abdomen was pulled, and the pain made her expression change.

Fu Siming snapped out of his daze, walked up to her, and placed his face directly into her hands.

The moment I saw that face, all the grievances and anxiety that welled up inside me seemed to be smoothed out.

Looking at her flat stomach and the undeniable pain in her abdomen, Song Xingyao felt somewhat lost.

Then, in a flustered voice, she asked, "Where...where is the child?"

Her already red eyes filled with tears, and Fu Siming quickly tried to comfort her.

"He's fine. He was premature, so he's still under observation. Don't worry."

Seeing that he was speaking seriously, Song Xingyao did not notice the subtle unease in his eyes.

I felt a little relieved, after all, I always believed what he said.

As if remembering something, her whole face scrunched up.

She hesitated before speaking, "Mom, she..."

The sounds that followed gradually faded away, though the words were not finished.

But just by looking at Fu Siming's expression, it was clear that the news was true.

But Fu Siming was thinking about Song Xingyao being locked in that room, having a recurring nightmare for who knows how long.

...

There was only silent sobbing in the ward.

Although she didn't grow up by Wu Mu's side, she could still feel his intense love during their brief time together.

A fleeting glimpse of blood and mangled limbs lay on the ground.

Her pupils began to dilate, and she gasped for breath.

Seeing that something was wrong with her, Fu Siming quickly pulled her into his arms and pressed the call button next to him.

The doctor rushed in and saw Song Xingyao struggling in Fu Siming's arms.

As she struggled, blood began to flow back through the IV tubing connected to the soft needle in her hand.

The doctor instructed Fu Siming to press her down on the bed, stop the IV drip, and inject a vial of medicine into the soft plug.

Soon, the woman in his arms stopped struggling.

The nurse stayed in the ward to treat the wounds that had been torn due to her struggle.

Fu Siming and the doctor walked out of the ward.

Doctor: "Mr. Fu, Madam is too agitated. We can't handle this. Please arrange psychological intervention as soon as possible. We just gave her a sedative injection to prevent her from tearing open the wound and hindering recovery, but this is not a long-term solution."

Fu Siming fell into deep thought, wondering what would happen the next time Song Xingyao woke up.

He really wanted to poke a few holes in Fu Yao's body to relieve even a fraction of her pain.

He couldn't remember what the doctor said after that, but he remembered that Song Xingyao had mentioned someone to him before.

Inside the private room of Pinhua Pavilion.

Xu Shi looked at Fu Siming opposite him, still puzzled.

A university professor and a businessman are completely unrelated.

But the passage of time has allowed him to calmly examine the man before him.

The arrogance and pride hidden beneath the weariness were still hard to conceal.

Fu Siming extended his hand across the tea tray on the table. "Hello, Professor Xu, I am Fu Siming."

Xu Shi: "President Fu, I know you, but why did you call me here today?"

His refined voice carried an air of aloofness and politeness.

Fu Siming: "My wife was a student in the Department of Psychology at Jiangcheng University, but she has recently had some bad experiences and hopes that you can help her with psychological treatment."

Upon hearing his purpose, Xu Shi frowned.

"When President Fu came to see me, he knew I hadn't been doing practical work for a long time, so this..."

“Professor Xu, please don’t refuse. I have heard about your story of loving your wife, so I believe you will understand my feelings. I know you have been looking into the situation of that piece of land in Beishan, and I am willing to pay you for the consultation fee.”

A brown paper document bag was pushed in front of Professor Xu.

Xu Shi fell silent.

He recalled the day his wife left, and what she had said to him.

They hoped that after death, they could return to the place where they first met in the spring.
