Chapter 195 Unfamiliar Memories

Song Xingyao sat at her desk, turning the pages one by one, while Fu Siming stood beside her, watching her reaction.

I noticed that her expression changed occasionally as the page was turned, but most of the time she was frowning.

I felt like I was reading a stranger's biography, or more accurately, a tragic diary. The last page of the booklet was the day she returned from S country.

Although her emotions fluctuated with the events described in the text, Song Xingyao knew that she hadn't remembered anything at all.

Like a poorly made AI robot, people input cold text into it, and it repeats it in a rigid and emotionless voice, devoid of any feeling.

But the tears on her face just flowed down like a normal physiological reaction.

Fu Siming walked to her side. He knew that Song Xingyao couldn't remember anything because her face was filled with confusion and uncertainty.

Looking up and meeting Fu Siming's gaze, Song Xingyao's voice carried a hint of barely perceptible panic, "I... I still can't remember anything."

"It's alright." He interrupted Song Xingyao's unease and gently stroked the hair on her forehead.

"The laboratory antidote will be developed soon, and then you'll remember it."

His words were like a shot of adrenaline for Song Xingyao, restoring her previously stiff limbs to normal.

What happened next was told to her by Fu Siming himself. She didn't even remember where she heard it before she drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, she woke up in a familiar room, but Fu Siming was no longer there.

On the blank wall in front of the dressing room, there was a informal wedding photo of her and Fu Siming that wasn't in the file yesterday.

I reached out and touched a still-warm glass, filled with warm water, which was placed beside me.

Song Xingyao knew that such details must have been Fu Siming's doing.

I picked it up and took a sip. My throat, which had been a little dry, felt soothed and no longer tight.

Then I changed my clothes and went downstairs.

Sure enough, Fu Siming was seen setting the table himself, and the scene was undeniably pleasing to the eye.

Seeing the smile on her face, Fu Siming couldn't hide his pleasure. "You're awake? Come down here."

Song Xingyao: "Fu Siming, shall we bring Xunzhi back?" Even though she hadn't regained her memories, Fu Xunzhi was indeed her child.

I still vividly remember the incident a few days ago when I was teaching at the kindergarten, where Sun Tong made hurtful remarks about Fu Xunzhi, saying that he was a child without a mother.

Song Xingyao felt extremely guilty.

The man downstairs naturally knew what she was thinking. He untied his apron, walked over to her, and took her hand.

"Okay, let's go pick him up together tonight."

Song Xingyao spent almost the entire day trying to process the unfamiliar stories she had seen yesterday, stories that should have featured her as the main character.

After taking the person to the hospital, Fu Siming drove to Ang's office.

They found that three people were already waiting inside.

Seeing Shi Yu sitting next to Zhuo Wen, he quickly walked past her and then sat down on the sofa next to her.

Once everyone was present, a young and spirited voice rang out first.

“Everyone’s here, so I’ll go first. Since Jiang Jiayao stepped down, Gu Mai has recently shown a desire to withdraw overseas and has already begun to take action. He’s been traveling between Jiangcheng and S country almost constantly lately.”

As he spoke, he casually put the A4 paper he had finished reading into the high-precision paper shredder next to him.

As the rumbling stopped, Zhuo Wen rested his chin on his hand and said, "I've already had people keeping an eye on things in S country. A batch of illegal cargo is already on its way, but judging from the quantity, it doesn't seem like it can crush them all at once."

Fu Siming added, "Indeed, it's impossible, but S country's main industry is mining. If he illegally mines and sells to other countries, the royal family of S country will definitely be unhappy. If it gets out of hand, he will naturally lose the royal family's support."

Zhuo Wen nodded approvingly, "Yes, I understand."

After finishing the important business, Ang saw that they still had something to say, so he clapped his hands and stood up, "You guys talk."

With only three people left in the room, Shi Yu, who had been quiet until now, spoke up anxiously, "How is Yao Yao now?"

The jarringly affectionate address made Song Xingyao frown.

"She's alright, thank you for your concern, Mr. Shi." Although it sounded like gratitude, there was a hint of sarcasm in his words.

He took a vial from his pocket. "This is the antidote, but the dosage needs to be diluted and adjusted according to the amount of the drug in the blood."

The glass bottle containing the clear liquid traced a parabolic trajectory before landing in Fu Siming's hand.

Zhuo Wen glanced at his friend, who seemed lost in thought, and then shook his head.

He stood up to leave, then paused, holding up the bottle in his hand. "Thank you."

After everyone left, Zhuo Wen asked, "Yu, are you planning to give up?"

Shi Yu smiled bitterly, "Anyway, from beginning to end, it was only one person's mind. Didn't you go and see for yourself? Someone as guarded as her can still trust Fu Siming so much after losing her memory. Doesn't that explain everything?"

His tone carried a hint of self-deprecation and helplessness.

After Song Xingyao lost her memory, Fu Siming almost simultaneously notified everyone who might have a connection with her, not wanting her to be agitated by her amnesia and feel helpless time and time again because of it.

Therefore, even Qiao Yiming, who loved to make a ruckus, was silenced and forbidden from being loud and boisterous in front of Song Xingyao.

Although Qiao Yiming was dissatisfied, he kept quiet and didn't dare to bother her.

All of these things are unknown only to the parties involved.

But she'll find out sooner or later.

After Fu Siming picked up Song Xingyao, the two went back to the old house together to pick up Fu Xunzhi. Jiang Man was too outgoing and worried that her enthusiasm would make Song Xingyao feel awkward.

So he discussed it with Fu Ting and arranged to send her out ahead of time.

The servants of the old house brought Fu Xunzhi out. When he saw Song Xingyao in the distance, he ran quickly toward her, but the servants behind him couldn't catch up.

She buried her head in Song Xingyao's arms and called out in a clear voice, "Mom!"

"Yes, Mom is here to pick you up and take you home." A wave of emotion welled up in my nose and eyes.

Fu Xunzhi keenly sensed her emotions and broke free from her embrace: "Mom... what's wrong?"

Her tone had softened, and she seemed somewhat lost, glancing at Fu Siming for help.

The latter did not disrupt the atmosphere of their long-awaited reunion.

Song Xingyao smiled and narrowed her eyes slightly. "I'm fine. Mom is happy. Let's go home for dinner. Grandma Qi has prepared a lot of your favorite dishes."

"Mmm!" The little head nodded, and a bright smile appeared on his face.

Fu Xunzhi didn't say anything, but he felt that his mother seemed different from before. Sure enough, his father wouldn't lie to him, he thought.

He chattered away the whole way, and Song Xingyao responded to him one sentence at a time.

Fu Siming saw the interaction between the mother and son in the rearview mirror, and a noticeable smile appeared on his lips.
