Chapter 227 Busy Fu Siming

Previously, Zhuo Wen and Shi Yu both felt that there was no need to explain this matter so clearly to Song Xingyao. She was just a girl and didn't need to accept so much of the darkness of the world.

Even though Song Xingyao's profession had already given her ample experience of human species diversity.

However, after hearing Shi Yu recount Zhuo Yue's experiences in the Sige family, she still stared wide-eyed in disbelief.

The Scott family's treatment of this young girl is chilling; silence speaks volumes.

When Shi Yu learned of this, it would be a tremendous shock to anyone who heard it, and he still felt a tightness in his chest when it was brought up again.

After a while, Song Xingyao's voice came from the other end: "What do you need me to do?"

As equal powers in S country, the Orland and Sigge families were, in Song Xingyao’s opinion, at most, a power struggle between two large families that checked and balanced each other.

In retrospect, Zhuo Yue was an important factor in this.

Shi Yu didn't beat around the bush, "I need Gu Mai's hypnotherapy plan and results."

"Okay," she agreed almost without hesitation, and also mentioned that Gu Mai would be making another appointment for hypnotherapy.

After a moment of silence, Shi Yu spoke gently, "Yao Yao, welcome back. I hope you stay safe while you're with Gu Mai."

Song Xingyao chuckled, "I know, thank you."

Perhaps because they hadn't been in touch for a long time, there was a brief silence on the phone. Eventually, Shi Yu broke the silence and said goodbye.

Ever since Fu Siming got drunk that night, Song Xingyao felt that he seemed to be avoiding her intentionally or unintentionally.

Using social engagements as an excuse, he always came home very late. Song Xingyao could only feel that he was holding her as she fell asleep, but when she woke up during the day, she thought it was just her imagination.

Because every time she got up, Fu Siming wasn't beside her; only the wrinkles around her reminded her that he had indeed come back.

What exactly is he busy with?

At this moment, Pei Jing heard from people in the company that Fu Siming left the company very late every day. He was surprised and uneasy at the same time.

He knew all of Fu Siming's schedules and there were no other social engagements planned recently. In addition, he knew that his wife and children were at home, and that President Fu never worked overtime.

How could I not go home?

But occasionally, I'd see him looking troubled, an expression that's extremely rare on his face. He's always been a man of great strategy and planning; if he were truly troubled, it would most likely be with Song Xingyao.

Just then, his phone rang, and Song Xingyao's name flashed on the screen, making Pei Jing frown.

But he quickly swiped to answer the call, "Madam!"

"Um, Pei Jing, is Fu Siming at the company? Why isn't he answering my calls?"

Pei Jing glanced in the direction of the office, his mind racing. "Madam, the president is in a meeting. If you need anything, I can take him away for you?"

Song Xingyao didn't want to disturb Fu Siming's work, so they must really be discussing something important.

She casually asked, "No need, he seems to be very busy lately?"

Pei Jing felt this scene was somewhat familiar, and followed her lead, saying, "Yes, the Sige family recently delisted, and the integration of acquisitions and investments is a bit tricky."

The person on the other end listened to his seemingly serious explanation and didn't ask any further questions, as if they believed him.

After hanging up the phone, Pei Jing felt a chill run down his spine. He remembered receiving a similar call when Fu Siming had just gotten married. Over time, his ability to lie had only gotten better and better...

He dared not lie to Fu Siming, so he went to Fu Siming's office, pushed open the door, and found him resting with his eyes closed, his phone placed within easy reach.

He slightly opened one eye and glanced at Pei Jing.

Pei Jing: "Master Fu, Madam just called and said that you haven't replied to her messages, and she's a little worried."

Upon hearing this, Fu Siming grabbed his phone from the table, pressed a few buttons, and realized it was out of battery without him noticing.

Pei Jing breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that his phone had run out of battery, thankfully it wasn't a real relationship problem.

She quickly charged his phone and was about to leave when she noticed his pale face and asked, "Mr. Fu, you don't look well. Should we adjust your schedule?"

"No need. Just schedule the investor talks for the evenings of these next few days, and I'll handle them all together."

Pei Jing didn't understand. Those investor talks didn't even require his personal attendance, so why was the president putting pressure on him?

But he agreed anyway.

Although Song Xingyao felt that Pei Jing's words were without flaws after hanging up the phone, she still had a slight doubt and decided to have a proper talk with him after Gu Mai's matter was over.

Two days later, at Jiangcheng Mental Hospital.

The nurse who delivered the medicine last time stopped delivering medicine to Fu Yao for two days after Fu Yao knocked over the medicine tray.

After all, since Fu Yao came in, apart from hearing from others that the entourage was very grand on the day she was brought in, almost no one has come to see her.

For this type of mental illness patient, missing one or two doses of medication won't have a significant impact.

Moreover, she has been quite quiet these past few days since she stopped taking her medication.

As I finished making the gesture and was about to leave, my hand just touched the cold doorknob when I suddenly felt my throat being choked.

The medicine tray in his hand fell to the ground with a jarring sound.

Such voices are not uncommon here, and no one even gives them a second glance.

The medicine in the cup spilled all over the floor, and the nurse gripped the sky with all her might, wondering where Fu Yao behind her got such strength.

He tightened his grip on his arm, holding a pen he'd somehow acquired, pointing it at his neck.

Her survival instinct made her struggle, and she felt the air being stolen from her nose and chest. She instinctively opened her mouth wide.

Fu Yao heard that she was about to make a sound, and stabbed her almost without hesitation.

Fresh blood gushed out like a spring from the pen shaft.

Fu Yao seemed oblivious, simply dragging the person onto the bed and covering her up.

In his empty eyes, the sight of bloodstains on the blanket cast a chillingly eerie light.

She watched as the person on the bed thrashed about a couple of times before going still, and a slight smile appeared on her lips.

He walked out as if no one else was there.

Blending in with the patients who were out for some fresh air, she walked straight ahead and quickly followed a doctor into the elevator. The doctor inside found it strange and swiped his work card to get to the elevator on the first floor. "How did you get in? Where's your nurse?"

The hospital has strict patient management; floors are not interconnected, and only medical staff with their work badges can move between floors in the elevator.

Fu Yao pretended to be dazed and said in a coquettish voice, "It was the nurse who told me to come downstairs and wait for her." She held up her work ID, which she had just taken from the nurse's pocket.
