Chapter 259 Sleeping in the Same Bed

One night, Anna slept restlessly because she had been drinking. She kept rolling around and making a fuss, which annoyed Qiao Yiyang, but he couldn't argue with a drunk woman.

Anna usually has a habit of sleeping with something in her arms at home, so Qiao Yiyang's original plan to wrap herself in a blanket and get rid of her was ruined by the woman's uneasy groans.

Finally, Anna pressed her hands and feet against Qiao Yiyang's body and felt much more comfortable, and then she obediently fell asleep.

Qiao Yiyang was furious with her outburst, but listening to the woman's quiet and gentle breathing in his arms, he slowly fell asleep in the latter half of the night.

The next day, Anna was woken up by her incessantly ringing phone. Almost reflexively, she grabbed the phone from the bedside table and swiped to answer.

In a daze, I heard someone on the other end of the phone say, "President, I have a meeting scheduled this morning with Ms. Qiao's business team leader, Shen Hui. Do you think the time needs to be adjusted?"

"Who is it..." Anna murmured, only to find that the grip on her phone felt a little unfamiliar. She held the phone further away, saw the name on it, and covered her mouth in shock, immediately pressing the hang-up button.

Qiao Yiyang's assistant could only stand alone in front of the president's office, bewildered. Who was he? Where was he?

The assistant, who had already arrived at the company, discovered that Qiao Yiyang had a scheduled event this morning but hadn't arrived. As an assistant, she felt obligated to contact the boss.

But why was a woman's voice coming from the CEO's phone, and it sounded strangely familiar?

...

The strange scene before her eyes made Anna freeze. Qiao Yiyang, who was lying next to her, was still asleep. Hearing the noise, she pulled Anna back down from where she was about to get up.

"Behave yourself..." A hoarse, sexy voice murmured, still not fully awake.

Anna: "..."

Because there was no distance between them, their ears could only be pressed against his chest, and their noses could smell the pleasant scent emanating from this man.

Anna poked the man's muscular chest with her finger, feeling a heat slowly rising on her face, and beneath her was a burning male body.

The cool touch of the phone he had just been holding against his strong, muscular abdomen made Qiao Yiyang slowly open his eyes.

Her hand still firmly held onto the fingers that had been causing trouble earlier.

In a moment, Qiao Yiyang also realized what was happening, released her hand, and sat up.

The woman inside the blanket struggled for a while before slowly peeking out.

"Um... Mr. Qiao, this..."

He leaned against the headboard, leisurely watching Anna, who was almost fully ripe, in front of him.

"I'll be right down..."

As she was saying this, she prepared to get out of bed, but the buttons on her shirt had come undone at some point, revealing almost half of her chest.

Qiao Yiyang coughed lightly. Anna looked down and saw that most of her collar had fallen off. She was even more embarrassed. She grabbed her collar with one hand and struggled to pull it down. She stepped on a cup by the bed and was about to slip and fall to the ground.

She quickly closed her eyes and found that the pain did not come as expected. Qiao Yiyang put his arm around her shoulder and she fell into his arms.

It looked like she had tackled him.

The man in front of her sighed softly. He pressed her down to sit next to him.

"Put your clothes on first."

Then she deftly rolled out of bed and went to the bathroom.

Anna felt utterly humiliated. She buried herself in the blankets for a while longer, then gave herself two sharp slaps across the face.

Now I'm completely awake.

She wanted to slip out while he wasn't looking, but she didn't have any clothes in the house. Just as Qiao Yiyang was about to come out, there was a knock on the door.

"Young Master, I've hung Miss An's clothes on the door."

...

This makes things even more complicated.

Anna was on the verge of tears. Why did this man carry her back to his room? There were so many guest rooms!

I've completely forgotten that I spilled the hangover soup on the blanket yesterday.

Hearing the footsteps at the door fade into the distance, she peeked out, took the clothes off the door, and quickly ran back to the next room.

Qiao Yiyang slowly came out after washing up and changed into a neat, custom-made handmade suit.

The subtle smile at the corner of his mouth indicated that he was in a good mood today.

It turns out that he wasn't so averse to someone invading his private space.

The phone on the bedside table rang again.

"Hello."

Finally hearing Qiao Yiyang's familiar voice, the assistant spoke up, "President, should we reschedule your morning schedule for the afternoon?"

His words were always tactful and considerate of the boss's private life, showing extreme thoughtfulness.

"No need, just go ahead as usual. I'll be at the company in an hour."

"Yes!" The assistant didn't waste any more words and heard the other end hang up. A meaningful expression appeared on the assistant's face.

Thinking to myself: It seems even the iron tree is about to bloom!

Anna quickly washed up, changed her clothes, and went downstairs. She naturally started chatting with the villa's butler, and was about to take over the breakfast that the butler was putting on the table.

Hearing the housekeeper, Aunt Wang, refuse, she said, "No need, Miss An, you do it. I can handle these things. Young Master Qiao will be down in a bit. It wouldn't be good if he saw us. Please have a seat."

People tend to be busier when they're feeling awkward, and Anna couldn't stay still. But when she heard Qiao Yiyang's name, she froze in place, feeling incredibly awkward. She tried to remain calm and prepared to leave first.

Turning around, she met the gaze of Qiao Yiyang, who had been standing on the stairs for who knows how long.

A blush crept onto her face, accompanied by an embarrassing, itchy sensation.

Qiao Yiyang seemed quite natural. She sat down, glanced at her, and said, "Have breakfast. I'll give you a ride to the film set later."

"Uh, no need, thank you, Mr. Qiao. I can take a taxi in a bit."

The man picked up his coffee and chuckled, "Are you sure I can get a taxi here?"

...and sat obediently next to Qiao Yiyang.

Actually, she doesn't usually like to eat breakfast, especially lately when she's been going out with the business team for social events, so every extra minute of sleep she gets is a blessing.

So I often rush out the door in the morning, grab a bottle of milk, and see if the crew has prepared any food, then just grab something quick and easy.

Seeing Qiao Yiyang eating slowly and deliberately in front of me, while the large screen TV across the table was playing the morning news, which was already past its early hour.

She then realized that even this capitalist, who valued time as much as money, could leisurely enjoy breakfast.

No, perhaps it is only capitalists like them, with their wealth and leisure, who should act this way.

Watching him eat so elegantly, Anna seemed to be influenced by him, slowly sipping her fragrant vegetable porridge.

I feel that the burning and stinging pain in my stomach from drinking yesterday has been diluted by the delicate and light soup and porridge.

Anna herself couldn't remember the last time she had enjoyed such a peaceful morning, instead of the busy and hurried life; it felt like a long time had passed.

Qiao Yiyang, who was standing next to her, put down her cutlery. "Do you remember what you did after drinking yesterday?"

"Cough cough...cough..." Anna hadn't even swallowed the mouthful of porridge when she heard Qiao Yiyang's question.

Table manners made her hold back from spitting it out.
