Ang did not hide the information from her and let her look through it.
Lin Qingyi saw a past that her mother had never mentioned.
No one knows why Lin Mei suddenly gave up everything in Jiangcheng and decided to leave her hometown and go abroad.
She only vaguely sensed that this matter was related to her, because it happened not long after she was born.
Seeing her furrowed brows, Ang reached out and snatched the documents from her hand.
"Let's go, I'll take you home."
Lin Qingyi understood his meaning and wanted to refuse.
But the man didn't give her a chance to refuse, walking ahead and leaving only his back to her.
Stingy, holds grudges...
The car was parked at the address Lin Qingyi had given it, at the old house in the suburbs. It was more than an hour's drive, and the car was completely quiet.
Because she felt sorry for her mother having to travel back and forth, Lin Qingyi decided to move back to the old house with her mother.
When Lin Mei opened the door, she saw Lin Qingyi with a somewhat displeased expression, and Ang, who was thoughtfully opening the door for his daughter.
Although what Ang did was absolutely disliked by his parents, his face was undeniably adorable.
This man gives the impression of being harmless.
Lin Mei also became more enthusiastic and eventually went out on a date.
Lin Qingyi greeted Ang warmly, but she was still angry that Ang had impure motives for asking her out and didn't want to talk to him.
So he left him and went to his mother's side, without even bothering to introduce them, giving her a look that said goodbye.
Lin's mother gently patted her hand, "That's rude."
Turning to Ang, she asked, "You're Xiaoyi's friend, right? I haven't heard her mention you before. I heard you met in S country?"
Ang nodded. "Yes."
"Oh my, what a coincidence! The world is so small. Why don't you come in and have a cup of tea? It's fate that we can meet after traveling so far."
Her enthusiasm overwhelmed Ang, who waved his hand and said, "No, Auntie, I just came to see her off. I have work to do, so I'll be going now."
Seeing his state, Lin Qingyi didn't intend to help him. She glanced at him and went into the house herself.
Lin's mother, somewhat embarrassed, tried to smooth things over: "Um... I'm sorry, Xiaoyi isn't usually like this. How about we exchange contact information? That way, we can look after each other whether we're in Jiangcheng or S country."
In the end, he didn't get to drink the tea. Ang sat back in the car and looked at the closed door.
He fell into deep thought.
After Fu Siming and Sun Jiming's gathering ended.
Pei Jing stood beside him and said, "Master Fu, the committee's results are in."
After finishing his wine glass, Fu Siming looked up at the empty seat opposite him.
Sun Jiming is indeed a man of many talents; he had just finished eating when the bidding committee's results came out.
The more anxious and flustered he appeared, the happier and more pleased Sun Jiming became.
"Okay, I understand. Any new developments with Li Hao?"
Fu Siming had no curiosity whatsoever about the outcome, whether it was good or bad.
"No, the people inside are very tight-lipped. There's a guy named Zheng Zhonglai who manages Liangyan for him, and no one will mention his name directly, so it's a bit difficult to collect evidence."
"There will always be loopholes. Organize the bidding documents. Have you heard anything from Song Qiao?"
"Yes, the mother and child were sent to the outskirts of a neighboring city."
Fu Siming thought for a moment. It seemed that Sun Jiming was really afraid that this woman would ruin things, and even preferred to keep these two time bombs by his side rather than send them back to Taipei.
"Spread some information to her. Since Sun Jiming likes to flirt with women so much, let him stumble on this."
"Yes." Pei Jing hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped himself.
Fu Siming: "Speak your mind."
"The continuous decline in stock price has raised some concerns at the shareholders' meeting."
“Then we can take this opportunity to buy back some of the shares.” He paused for a moment, “and buy back the shares in Song Xingyao’s name, and register them all under her name.”
"Yes, Master Fu."
When Song Qiao saw Sun Jiming's interview response regarding the relationship between the couple for the second time, she finally couldn't hold back any longer.
He hadn't been here for half a month. Even when Li Xinyi was causing the most trouble in Taipei, he had never distanced himself from her and her son like this.
Am I supposed to keep waiting like this?
He pressed the dial button, "I want to send a message."
She bypassed the gatekeeper, climbed down from the second-floor window, and went directly onto the main road for vehicles.
Although this place is remote, it borders a neighboring city, so there are still quite a few vehicles coming and going.
Fearing that Song Xin would cry and cause trouble, she coaxed him to drink milk laced with sleeping pills before he crawled out of the room.
The sweat on my palms almost caused me to lose my grip on the railing and slip.
She hasn't been out for a long time, delivering food and handling garbage at fixed times every day, which is no different from being in prison.
When the car came to a stop in a quiet teahouse, a place she had chosen because it was peaceful and convenient for conversation.
The man opposite her seemed a bit nonchalant. She couldn't see his face clearly, but she still felt that he looked somewhat unreliable.
But there's no turning back now.
He took the slightly crumpled A4 paper out of his bag and pushed it through the curtain.
He picked it up with his slender fingers and glanced at it. Seeing the three words "Sun Jiming" on the appraisal form, he said with a hint of amusement, "How can I take this job? I can't risk my life for money, can I?"
Another card was pushed over from the other side.
A handwritten password was pasted on it.
"Here's 1 million. Once it's done, you'll naturally get your share."
"You know, in my line of work, reputation is the most important thing, not money. If the information I release is false, wouldn't I be ruining my own reputation? Besides, if I just Photoshop this, Minister Sun's kids could easily form a football team in no time, right?"
"You!" Song Qiao was furious. She had never imagined that a man who only took money to send messages could be so fussy.
But she knew that, just as he had said, this job was one that most people wouldn't dare to take on.
She went through many twists and turns before finally getting to know this person; people in the industry say that only he can do this job.
Song Qiao pressed the play button.
The serious voices that you usually only hear on television were now coming from the phone.
Song Qiao recorded the conversation because she was afraid that Sun Jiming might do something drastic because of the exposure of her and her son.
I never thought it would come in handy now.
She pressed the pause button. "Is it okay now?"
"Of course, if you're that sincere?" He twirled the black card in his hand.
Sharp eyes peered through the curtain, seemingly trying to discern the expression on the woman's face opposite them.
"Okay, don't contact me. I'll contact you if something comes up. I want to see this message trending on the hot search list within three days."
After saying that, Song Qiao picked up her bag, stood up, and quickly left the quiet room.
Hearing the door close, Ang peeked out and gave a cryptic laugh.
"I really can't wait any longer..."
