Sun Xiaoxiao suddenly realized that she had relaxed a bit too much and was back to being tense. Through the car window, she saw Li Hao standing under the tree opposite.
My hand landed perfectly on that slender flower stem, and with a squeeze of my knuckles, the flower fell onto my hand.
Turning around, he met Sun Xiaoxiao's gaze.
"Sorry, I fell asleep." She glanced at the time and realized she had slept for two hours.
"Yeah, I didn't wake you because you were sleeping so soundly."
"We've only been here a short while, let's get off the bus first."
She put the clothes back and obediently hugged the wooden steamer basket on the back seat.
Li Hao reached out his hand, and she didn't react in time.
He coldly teased her, "Are you going to hold me the whole time?"
"Oh...oh!" She immediately stepped forward and handed the item over.
The delicate gardenia bud that he had just plucked fell into her palm.
I could feel the scent of gardenias on Li Hao's body as he brushed against my nose.
I followed him into the private courtyard.
A man and a woman came out from inside. "Uncle and Aunt."
Li Hao remained as gentlemanly and polite as ever.
Not knowing how to address her, she didn't speak, but simply nodded behind her.
"This is my friend. I brought her to see my aunt's garden. These are some snacks that Aunt Ping brought for you."
The man took the steamer basket from Li Hao's hand, and the woman was somewhat pleased, preparing to greet him.
Sun Xiaoxiao forced a smile.
"Oh my, this must be Xiaoxiao. Just like her name, she smiles like a flower. You feel right at home here. Let Xiaohao show you around."
The woman's voice was gentle and delicate, as melodious as the warbling of a nightingale.
Li Hao sighed helplessly, "They're just friends. Auntie, please go inside. Didn't you say you were hungry? Hurry up and try some; the pastries are still warm."
After everyone left, Li Hao spoke to Sun Xiaoxiao, "Don't mind them, they're just very enthusiastic."
Sun Xiaoxiao shook her head, somewhat bewildered, as she met his explaining expression.
