Fu Siming was still processing the information Zhuo Wen had given him.
Since Ang sent him a message last time, they haven't had any contact.
Even Fu Siming couldn't help but wonder if something had happened to Ang.
But unexpectedly, I received a call from him.
"Hello, it's me." A familiar, sunny young voice came from the other end of the receiver.
Ang: "He just crawled out of the gates of hell. You know, right? Gu Mai went back to S country. The old man was devoured by the wolf cub he raised. He's probably scratching his head in the underworld right now!"
The rising tone sounded somewhat pleasant.
Fu Siming: What's wrong with you?
Ang: "It's alright. I underestimated that old man. But I've gotten pretty much the information. Gu Mai's son is Fu Yao's. I recently received news from the black market that he's looking for Xin Yuan again at a high price... I guess something happened to the child of your ex-lover."
He teased Fu Siming with a half-smile, then shut his mouth after hearing Fu Siming click his tongue.
Fu Siming spoke up, "Help me cut off his source of affection."
After a brief pause, he seemed to remember something else, "You also have enemies back home?"
This remark elicited laughter from the other side. "I think I have quite a few enemies."
Ang genuinely didn't take it seriously, and what he said was the absolute truth. He made money from all sides, and naturally, many people wanted him dead.
However, because of this, many people are also protecting him.
Fu Siming didn't know the man's purpose, so he simply hung up the phone without saying anything more.
Not long after the notice was posted, Ang received a large sum of money from Fu Siming.
He muttered a couple of things to himself, then turned off the screen and went out onto the balcony.
The flower shop on the ground floor across the street has been closed for three days.
He didn't know why he had secretly left and then followed others here.
Lin Qingyi wasn't actually in the shop often, but it seemed that just seeing her face occasionally made him feel more at ease.
He looked around for a long time before returning to his room. Sure enough, he still couldn't quite get used to the overly bright environment.
After hanging up the phone, Fu Siming listened to Pei Jing's report on the progress of that batch of goods before returning to Haiyan.
Haiyan was bustling with more activity than ever before.
Sitting in the living room were Qiao Yiming, a regular guest of Haiyan, his mother, and rare guests Pinglan and Qin Liangshan.
After greeting everyone, he looked into Song Xingyao's eyes and noticed that her complexion was much better than when he left that morning.
Then he greeted the elders of both families one by one and walked toward Song Xingyao's location.
Jiang Man saw the news online at the old house and was happy for Song Xingyao.
I came here partly to check on her condition, and partly to have a formal meeting between our two families for a meal.
I used to think that Song Xingyao's adoptive parents treated her like that, so I never thought about having any contact with them. But it turns out they weren't her biological parents. Now that I think about it, it makes sense.
Moreover, her son's initial reason for keeping the person by his side was not exactly honorable, so Jiang Man thought she should at least formally greet and meet him.
Although Song Xingyao had already met Fu Quan, she still couldn't quite process this information.
Fu Siming sensed the confusion in her heart, so he spoke up for her.
"Mom? Yao Yao is a little tired. I'll take her to rest for a while. We can talk about it later."
He spoke, and no one else said anything.
After he coaxed the person to sleep and came downstairs, only Jiang Man was left in the living room, still drinking tea.
"Mom? Aren't you going back? Dad won't say anything to you?"
He sat leisurely next to Jiang Man and casually picked up the water glass on the table.
She saw that Fu Siming was still acting the same carefree and irresponsible person.
"You're still drinking? Did you already know all along?"
"What?"
"Yaoyao is the daughter of the Fu family?"
"I knew where I was going earlier than you. I only knew about this a few days before you."
After saying that, she pursed her lips slightly.
Jiang Man: "When Yao Yao married you, you made her suffer a lot. Now you should at least arrange a meeting with your in-laws, right?"
Fu Siming had also thought about what she was talking about. In fact, it wasn't just that the two of them started off in a dishonorable way; the grievances they suffered in between were known throughout the city.
Not to mention his past with Fu Yao, one thing after another that caused an extremely awkward situation.
This is something that cannot be concealed no matter how much compensation is made now.
"Don't worry, let her get some rest, I'll take care of the rest."
Fu Siming's nonchalant tone made Jiang Man so angry that she wanted to smash her cup.
But thinking of Song Xingyao, who was already resting, he still held his breath.
"I can't be bothered with you. You should pay more attention to this matter, or they'll come after you! I'm going back now. Take good care of Yao Yao."
He said that, picked up his bag, and walked out.
Jiang Man's idea of meeting her in-laws was the same one that Fu Quan and his wife had thought of.
Fu Siming had just come out of the bathroom when his phone on the table vibrated, waking Song Xingyao up.
He looked down at Song Xingyao, who had already opened her eyes, and instead of leaving, he swiped across the screen to answer the call.
Fu Siming: "Hello, Uncle Fu?"
This address snapped Song Xingyao out of her daze.
Seeing that he was listening intently, Fu Siming simply sat down next to him.
He gently stroked the stray hairs on her forehead with his palm, until they were slightly warm.
Fu Quan: "Si Ming... your Aunt Wu, your grandparents, and I would like to have a meal with your family."
...
The room was quiet, and the sound from the other end of the receiver reached Song Xingyao's ears clearly.
Fu Siming didn't rush to answer, but instead looked at the woman in front of him.
He didn't reply until she nodded.
"Okay, Uncle Fu, I'll arrange it."
After hanging up the phone, Song Xingyao turned to her side and rested her head on his lap.
Fu Siming: "If you don't want to meet so soon, even if I agree, there are ways to cancel."
Hearing him say that, Song Xingyao reached out and grasped his hand, then shook her head.
"No... It's not that I don't want to, I just don't know how to get along with them yet..."
"I'm here, Song Xingyao. You just need to do what you want."
A light kiss landed on her forehead, and then she felt a warm current flow through her heart.
The next day, Fu Siming left home very early.
With Ang keeping an eye on things on Gumai's side, he didn't need to worry about it much.
The goods were successfully delivered to the government of country S.
He has to go see that man now.
When they reached the top of the mountain, the man was indeed already waiting there.
This time, instead of going to that winding little house, I simply handed him the things I was holding.
Fu Siming reached out to take it, but he didn't let go.
For a moment, their hands were locked in a standoff in mid-air.
Fu Siming replied, "Ang is fine."
Upon hearing this, the man seemed relieved, and his movements relaxed.
"Thanks, it's a pleasure doing business with you!"
Then, without lingering, he turned and disappeared into the Buddhist hall.
