[Past Life]
Ye Wan, a female college student, was framed for murder by her roommate and sentenced to death.
Unable to bear the pangs of conscience, Ye Wan's roommate's wealthy father forged a certificate of schizophrenia, allowing her to escape death.
Ye Wan could be spared the death penalty, but she didn't want to suffer any punishment.
She was sent to a mental hospital, where she was much happier and more energetic than at school.
The people here are so interesting! They have pleasant voices, great personalities, and they can sing and dance—they're incredibly talented.
Most importantly, they are simple-minded and would never try to pin a huge blame on someone else.
This is so cool, of course I have to put it on my head!
Ye Wan ate and slept every day, sang and danced with her fellow patients, and wished the great motherland prosperity and strength.
Strive to become a noble person, a pure person, a moral person, a person who is free from vulgar interests, and a person who is beneficial to the people.
Isn't this much better than skipping four years of classes in college and then having to work as a laborer?
On the day she turned charcoal black, her kind roommate came to visit Ye Wan and happened to see her dancing hand in hand with her fellow patients.
She was so happy, her face always beaming with a blissful smile.
Her roommate began to feel resentful: "I can't believe Ye Wan is so happy every day. Why is that? She's a death row inmate!"
A death row inmate should look like a death row inmate.
She should be either depressed or insane; in short, Ye Wan shouldn't be like this.
So, her roommate conspired with a staff member at the mental hospital to tamper with the machine Ye Wan was using for electrotherapy.
After Ye Wan's body was connected to the electrotherapy device, it was pierced by a huge current and burned to a crisp.
On her deathbed, Ye Wan's psychological defenses crumbled, and she vehemently condemned her roommate:
If you like it here, you can come with me. Why did you have to burn me to a crisp? I could have given you the bed by the window.
Transmigration into a Book
When Ye Wan woke up, she found a short, stocky boy sitting next to her, crying loudly.
It's like a little radish that has come to life.
This kid has potential; he's only a few years old and he's already on the right path.
She came to a mental hospital at such a young age.
She reached out to wipe the boy's tears, but found that her hands had become small and her arms were too short to even touch the boy's face.
It must have shrunk after the electric shock.
When the boy saw that Ye Wan was awake, he cried even harder:
"Junior Sister Wanwan, you're finally awake! If you had died, Master would have skinned me alive, pulled out my tendons, broken my legs, and then thrown me off Moonfall Cliff! Waaah—"
Wait, little radish, why does this line sound so familiar?
The baby boy's crying was giving Ye Wan a headache. She interrupted him without hesitation and asked a classic line: "Who are you?"
The boy froze, a look of terror crossing his young face. He turned and ran away, shouting as he went:
"Master, something terrible has happened! Junior Sister has been possessed by an evil spirit—"
Ye Wan watched as the boy with smoke coming from his butt ran further and further away until he disappeared from sight.
She pinched her cheek; it hurt.
It shouldn't be a dream.
The place name Moonfall Cliff seems to be from a fantasy novel.
When Ye Wan read this novel, she hadn't yet been admitted to the mental hospital, and her mind wasn't as clear as it was then.
She was drawn to the novel mainly because her roommate said that there was a female supporting character in the novel who shared the same name as her.
I strongly recommended it to her, saying that the name itself evoked a strong sense of connection with the character.
Ye Wan was curious and happened to be looking for a book, so she clicked to take a look.
Upon seeing it, they immediately felt extremely disgusted.
In the novel, the female supporting character with the same name as her is not only a villain, but also a complete romantic!
Ahhh!
Ye Wanping hates being love-struck more than anything else in her life!
I wish I could devour its flesh and drink its blood!
Ye Wan doesn't care about other people's relationships, but this female villain has the same name as her, as if she were another version of herself.
Ye Wan was so frustrated with her son that she bit her phone case so hard she left clear teeth marks.
She just couldn't understand what the brain structure of someone with a "love-struck" mind was like.
Don't they watch those wildly popular movies?
Ye Wan particularly liked several of them, such as: Her Dismembered Body, Her in the Cold Storage, Her Falling Off a Cliff, Her Drowning in the Deep Sea...
Every one of them is a classic, every one of them is a bible.
It's perfect for eating with food or for putting someone to sleep.
Especially on winter nights, I would tuck my feet under the covers, wrap my shoulders up, and turn on my tablet.
"Empty, empty, empty..."
As soon as the music started, I smiled and felt incredibly happy.
Every time Ye Wan drooled over the handsome guys on her phone, she would choose one of them to "brainwash" herself and prevent herself from having any thoughts of dating.
"Look! Master! Junior Sister is right there!"
A clear child's voice interrupted Ye Wan's thoughts, and she stared blankly ahead.
The short, stocky boy from before has brought over a young man.
The young man was dressed in a dark blue robe, tall and slender, with an outstanding demeanor; he was quite a handsome man.
The handsome man examined Ye Wan's forehead and found that although the wound on her head looked frightening, it had not broken the bone.
Then, he checked Ye Wan's internal energy and found nothing abnormal, so he asked:
"Wan'er, do you still remember your master?"
Hehehe, her voice is nice too.
Ye Wan was staring at the handsome man in a daze, drool uncontrollably dripping from the corner of her mouth.
It's like being possessed by an evil spirit.
The boy hiding behind the handsome man was terrified when he saw Ye Wan's infatuated state. He pointed at Ye Wan and said, "Master, look, Junior Sister has indeed been possessed. She is clearly possessed by an evil spirit!"
