Chapter 10 Sister, why do you smell so good?

Ye Wan's expression clearly showed that she wanted to eat, so Ding Yumin couldn't quite understand her actions.

"What's wrong, Ye Wan?"

Ye Wan hid her hands in her armpits, clenching them tightly to prevent herself from reaching for the snacks, and even shook her head so hard it left an afterimage.

"No, no! My senior brother said we can't eat food from strangers! Especially not from good-looking people!"

Ding Yumin felt both angry and amused. Chu Yiming had told her in private that Ye Wan was a bit mentally challenged and asked her to be more tolerant, but she didn't believe him.

Now, seeing Ye Wan's childlike behavior, I find it adorable, but I also feel a pang of heartache.

She lost her mother when she was nine years old and knows how miserable it is for a child without a mother.

Ye Wan even has intellectual disabilities. Her master, Su Hanjiang, is unpredictable. Even with her senior brother Chu Yiming taking care of her, he is, after all, a man and inevitably has shortcomings, unlike a woman who is more attentive.

You can tell from Ye Wan's clothes.

She was only fifteen years old, yet she and Chu Yiming were wearing the same loose-fitting dark blue cloth shirt, which didn't fit them at all.

If you don't look closely, you might mistake it for a boy.

Ding Yumin picked up a pastry and took a bite: "Look, I ate some myself, and I'm perfectly fine."

The aroma of the pastries made Ye Wan swallow hard. She finally couldn't resist reaching out and carefully picking up a piece of pastry to put in her mouth.

Sweet but not cloying, soft, chewy and fragrant.

It tastes much better than what my senior brother buys outside.

Zhu Guang couldn't make pastries, so the tea snacks Su Hanjiang ate were all bought by Chu Yiming outside the valley.

He has no particular requirements for food; as long as the tea and snacks are clean and simple, that's fine with him.

Ye Wan said, "Okay, it's delicious. Thank you, sister."

Ding Yumin was overjoyed to hear her call her "sister," and she stuffed all the snacks into Ye Wan's hands.

“These are all yours. When you come to Chunshui Pavilion in the future, I will make you all kinds of snacks.”

Ye Wan was stunned. She nodded cautiously and stuffed the pastries into her mouth one by one.

The valley where the moon sets and crows cry is full of men. There is no sweet and gentle older sister like Ding Yumin, who can make delicious snacks and is also beautiful.

Even in her previous life in the orphanage, Ye Wan was always alone.

Before she went crazy, she was a loner and no one wanted to play with her.

When she got to college, her roommates also liked to tease her.

They would even point at characters in novels who shared her name and ridicule her.

Later, Ye Wan went mad, and she was surrounded by other patients like herself. They were kind to her, but they wouldn't make her any delicious snacks.

The nurses were all beautiful when they smiled, but they would make Ye Wan take very bitter medicine and give her injections in her bottom, which hurt a lot.

Ye Wan was afraid of both bitterness and pain.

The two girls spent only an hour together, but they became like sisters, holding hands as they went out for dinner.

Ye Wan has a huge appetite, which even the older cultivators find astonishing!

How could such a small girl eat five bowls of rice? Don't these small sects feed them enough?

Although Ye Wan was thin, her complexion was rosy and her eyes were bright, so she didn't look like she had been abused.

Maybe the food at her sect is just too bad.

After finishing her fifth bowl, Ding Yumin served Ye Wan a bowl of soup to prevent her from choking.

Ye Wan took it with a grin and downed it in one gulp.

Then he patted his lower belly with satisfaction.

The Immortal Governor's Mansion is very large, and the two of them wanted to take a stroll around after finishing their meal.

As he stood up, he bumped into Zheng Nansheng and Li Bing'er, as well as the disciple who had called Ye Wan a dog last time.

Disciple: The snow in June, when it falls, hurts.

Zheng Nansheng greeted the two politely:

"Miss Ding, Miss Ye."

Ding Yumin's face immediately turned red.

Zheng Nansheng was handsome, highly talented, and had a good personality.

She was very popular among young nuns.

Ding Yumin usually only interacted with rough men like her senior brother, so it was inevitable that she would develop a liking for this kind of man.

Unexpectedly, Zheng Nansheng took the initiative to greet her.

She quickly returned the greeting: "Young Master Zheng, Miss Li, this..."

The disciple politely returned the greeting: "I am Ma Wei."

"Greetings, Mr. Ma."

Ye Wan's eyes darted around, she tilted her head and stroked her chin, staring at Ma Wei for a few seconds before suddenly pointing at him and launching an attack:

"It's you! You're the one who insulted my master!"

Ye Wan has already attracted a lot of attention because of her boisterous eating habits.

As soon as she said that, everyone turned their heads to look in her direction.

Ma Wei thought to himself, "What bad luck! How did I run into this little devil again?"

He suddenly became the center of attention, making him feel like an ant on a hot pan.

People started discussing:

"This young man looks unremarkable, yet he dares to curse that great demon Su Hanjiang. He is truly admirable!"

"You're incredibly bold! You're a force to be reckoned with!"

"As expected of a disciple of Yueyun Manor, you truly have backbone!"

Whether or not someone has backbone is unimportant, even though there are many people who criticize Su Hanjiang behind his back.

However, on the surface, no one dared to disrespect a sixth-tier demon infant stage expert.

Moreover, Commander Ma is just a junior.

Zheng Nansheng couldn't stand it anymore and tried his best to remain humble:

“Miss Ye, it was just a misunderstanding. If you are angry, I, Nansheng, apologize to you here.”

After saying that, he really bowed deeply to Ye Wan.

One should be lenient when possible. Even if Ma Wei really spoke rudely to Su Hanjiang, his senior brother has already apologized, so Ye Wan shouldn't continue to act recklessly.

Ma Wei felt resentful when he saw Zheng Nansheng apologizing to this little devil on his behalf.

He had clearly done nothing wrong, and even Su Hanjiang himself hadn't blamed him, so why did Senior Brother Zheng have to condescend to apologize to Ye Wan?
