Chapter 1 Part 3

Chapter 1 Part 3

When Chi Muzhen received the message from Chi Xuan, she was choosing a gift for Huo Yunting's third wedding anniversary.

Chi Muzhen was caught off guard by the sight of more than a dozen ambiguous photos. He was stunned and his face turned pale.

The protagonists of every photo are Huo Yunting and his twin sister Chi Xuan!

The two of them were either hugging each other or kissing each other... The only thing in common was that in every photo, Huo Yunting's gaze towards Chi Xuan was full of doting.

Even after being by his side silently for three years, he had never looked at me like that.

"Is it cooked?"

Chi Muzhen rubbed her faintly throbbing temples. The scene in the photo seemed vaguely familiar, but before she could remember it, Chi Xuan's next message popped up.

"Sister, this is your wedding room, don't you recognize it?"

"Oh... I almost forgot. Apart from our wedding night, Brother Yun Ting never let you set foot here again. Do you know why?"

"Because this wedding room was prepared for me by Brother Yun Ting. If it weren't for Grandma Huo's self-initiative on your wedding day, you would never have had the chance to set foot here in your life!"

Every word Chi Xuan said was like a thorn that pierced deeply into Chi Muzhen's heart, and her hands trembled slightly unconsciously.

She held the phone tightly and typed out a line of words slowly.

"Chi Xuan, stop sending me these photos. You and Huo Yunting are a thing of the past."

"Haha, do you think we are really a thing of the past?"

"I've been back home for two months. Has Brother Yunting not been home in these two months?"

"He doesn't have time to go home. He comes to this wedding house to meet me every day after get off work. Do you know what he said about you in bed? He said you were boring, no different from an inflatable Wawa."

"As a woman, I'm such a failure. If I were you, I would have just found a piece of tofu and killed myself!"

"While Brother Yun Ting still cares about our old relationship, I advise you to withdraw voluntarily, otherwise you will be the one who gets embarrassed in the end!"

Chi Muzhen didn't know how she got back home until she heard the sound of the fingerprint lock closing at the door.

When Huo Yunting opened the door, he saw Chi Muzhen sitting on the floor in the entrance hall.

He subconsciously frowned, his eyes filled with displeasure.

"What are you doing sitting here?"

Chi Muzhen looked up at him, his handsome face came into view, still making her heart beat faster.

She wanted to find even a hint of love in his eyes, but there was nothing but impatience and displeasure.

He had been looking at her like this for the past three years, but when she found that he could also look at other women so tenderly, her heart felt like it was cut open and the pain was unbearable.

She slowly stood up and looked straight at Huo Yunting.

"Why did you hide the news of Chi Xuan's return from me?"

Huo Yunting's eyes flashed with surprise, and then he said indifferently: "You and Xuanxuan have a bad relationship, there is no need to tell you."

Chi Muzhen smiled. Was it unnecessary, or was he afraid that he and Chi Xuan would be discovered about their affair?

She closed her eyes and spoke word by word, "Huo Yunting, if you really regarded me as your wife, you wouldn't be hanging around with Chi Xuan in our bridal chamber!"

Huo Yunting's expression changed. "How did you know?"

"How should I know? You should ask Chi Xuan! I also want to know how a mistress like her could have the nerve to send those photos to disgust me!"

"Chi Muzhen!"

Huo Yunting's face was full of anger, and his cold gaze was like a sharp arrow falling on her.

In his opinion, Chi Xuan has a simple character and would not do anything to hurt others, let alone provoke Chi Muzhen.

"Xuanxuan and I aren't as bad as you say. She's just staying here temporarily, and there's no way Xuanxuan would send you any photos!"

Chi Muzhen was stung by his gaze, and her eyes turned red instantly. "Stay here? Do you think I'm a fool? And you said she couldn't send me photos, so you mean I slandered her?"

"You might not do that to others, but you've never liked Xuanxuan. It's not like you haven't done similar things before."

Chi Muzhen pursed his lips and suddenly felt a little ridiculous. He subconsciously stood on Chi Xuan's side without even asking the whole story.

No wonder Chi Xuan dared to send those photos to him openly.

She probably calculated long ago that Huo Yunting would stand on her side.

She closed her eyes tiredly and said lightly: "Whatever you say, just think of it as me slandering her."

Huo Yunting's eyes flashed with anger, and he said coldly: "Xuanxuan doesn't owe you anything. Don't let me hear such words from you again!"

She hadn't done anything to Chi Xuan yet, but he had already protected her. If she really did anything to Chi Xuan, Huo Yunting probably wouldn't let her go.

Chi Muzhen laughed self-deprecatingly, "Huo Yunting, in the three years since we got married, have you ever liked me, even a little bit?"

Huo Yunting's cold eyes fell on her face, "Since I married you, I will take care of you for the rest of your life."

If you refuse to answer, it means you have never liked me...

Chi Muzhen chuckled lightly, turned away because she didn't want him to see the tears on her face, and said with a dead heart: "Let's get a divorce."

She persisted for three years, thinking that her sincerity would win his love, but in the end she was just deceiving herself.

She should be awake now.

Huo Yunting frowned, a hint of impatience flashing in his eyes, "Chi Muzhen, stop being unreasonable!"

Chi Muzhen didn't expect that her behavior was just unreasonable in his eyes.

She raised the back of her hand to wipe away her tears, then looked at Huo Yunting seriously and said, "I'm not making trouble with you. I'll have a lawyer draft a divorce agreement. I don't want a single cent of your property!"

She brought nothing with her when she married him, and now that they were getting divorced, she didn't want him to think that she was coveting his property.

The moment he finished speaking, Huo Yunting's expression turned extremely ugly, and a cold aura emanated from his entire body.

"Chi Muzhen, I'm very busy and don't have time to argue with you. I'll pretend I didn't hear what you said today. Let's talk again when you calm down!"

After saying that, Huo Yunting left without any reluctance.

He was like this every time they quarreled in the past. He would just go into a cold war with Chi Muzhen until Chi Muzhen gave in to him.

After deciding to let go, Chi Muzhen realized that she had been so humble before, so humble that he was unwilling to even coax her.

But I won’t do that anymore.

The next morning, Chi Muzhen asked a lawyer to draft a divorce agreement.

While printing, the lawyer couldn't help but persuade her.

"Mrs. Huo, the Huo Group is currently worth hundreds of billions. You've been with Mr. Huo for three years, and you've been forcing yourself to keep your marriage secret. Even if you ask Mr. Huo for a few hundred million, it's not too much."

Chi Muzhen smiled bitterly and said, "No, I just want to divorce him as soon as possible."

Seeing this, the lawyer could no longer persuade her. He handed the divorce agreement to Chi Muzhen and left.

When the divorce agreement reached the last page, Chi Muzhen signed her name without any hesitation, took off the ring on her hand and placed it on the divorce agreement, then stood up and went upstairs to pack her things.

In less than an hour, Chi Muzhen had packed everything. She didn't have many things, and she wouldn't want anything Huo Yunting bought for her, so she only packed one suitcase.

Taking a final look at the villa where she had lived for three years, Chi Muzhen had no trace of nostalgia in her eyes. No matter how hard she tried, it would be useless to keep something that did not belong to her.

It took her three years to understand this truth.

But it’s not too late.

She turned and walked out of the villa, and a red Lamborghini was parked at the door.

When I saw her coming out, I honked the horn.

After putting away her luggage, Chi Muzhen opened the passenger door and got in.

Sitting in the driver's seat was a woman with a hot body and fair skin.

She wore a pair of big sunglasses that almost covered half of her face, making her face look more delicate and petite.

After Chi Muzhen sat down, Shen Tian raised her eyebrows and said, "Have you really decided?"
