Chapter 65: Wishful Thinking
Chi Muzhen frowned and said coldly: "Who are you and why should we follow you?"
"Ms. Chi, our boss is Mr. Huo."
"Huo Yunting?"
"Yes."
Chi Muzhen's eyes flashed with surprise, "He came to Licheng?"
"Well, Mr. Huo ordered that you must be taken to see him. I hope Miss Chi won't make things difficult for us."
After hesitating for a few seconds, Chi Muzhen nodded and said, "I can go with you, but I have to ask Dr. Xu for his opinion."
As soon as the words fell, Xu Ye spoke, "Miss Chi, I will go with you."

The two followed a few people into the car. About half an hour later, the car stopped in front of the largest hotel in Licheng.
After bringing Chi Muzhen and Xu Ye to the door of the president's suite on the top floor, the men in black left.

Huo Yunting sneered, "I have never said such a thing!"
Chi Muzhen nodded and said calmly, "I left this week to find some herbs that can heal your leg."

"He is the miracle doctor Xinyue who gave me the prescription to heal your leg three years ago, so I asked him to come with me when I came to look for herbs this time."

"Koning will book a separate room for him later. As for you, you will stay with me."

Huo Yunting only half believed Chi Muzhen's words.
She and Xu Ye were the ones who deliberately got rid of him. How could he believe that the truth was as simple as Chi Muzhen said? She must be hiding something from him!
In the evening, after dinner, Chi Muzhen planned to go out for a walk, but unexpectedly Huo Yunting suddenly asked Xu Ye to give him acupuncture.
Chi Muzhen knew that he was still in doubt, so she didn't refuse and immediately called Xu Ye.
Soon, Xu Ye came up with an acupuncture bag.
"Mr. Huo, your first acupuncture session may be more painful than three years ago. If you can't stand it, please tell me at any time."
"Okay, thank you for your hard work, Doctor Xu."
Xu Ye asked Ke Ning to lay Huo Yunting flat on the bed. After asking Chi Muzhen to step aside, he asked Ke Ning to take off Huo Yunting's clothes and pants, and then started to give him acupuncture.
Every time he gave an injection, Xu Ye would ask Huo Yunting if he felt any pain.
When the needle reached a vein behind his calf, Huo Yunting's expression suddenly changed, and beads of sweat oozed from his forehead.

Xu Ye continued to give acupuncture, and Huo Yunting's face became more and more ugly.

Half an hour later, when Xu Ye removed the needle, Huo Yunting's face was as pale as paper.
"Mr. Huo, you can try to get out of bed and walk around later. You should be able to take a few steps now, but your legs will hurt many times more than when you had the acupuncture."
Huo Yunting nodded, "Okay, please ask Doctor Xu to call Chi Muzhen in for me."
When Chi Muzhen came in, Ke Ning had already helped Huo Yunting put on his clothes.
Seeing Chi Muzhen, Huo Yunting stretched out his hand and said, "Help me up."
Chi Muzhen walked forward and helped him up. Huo Yunting put almost half of his body weight on her.
"Dr. Xu just said I should be able to walk a few steps."
With Chi Muzhen's support, Huo Yunting slowly took the first step. However, the pain in his legs made him break out in cold sweat instantly, and he groaned unconsciously.
