Chapter 1 Lust at First Sight

Ji Hanchen's slender fingers landed on Xu Qingyun's cheongsam photo, zooming in on the picture, his eyes filled with tenderness.

She's grown up and become even more beautiful.

“Xu Qingyun…”

Ji Hanchen murmured her name softly, "I've finally found you."

"Couldn't find the address?" Ji Hanchen frowned slightly, dissatisfied with Jiang Xun's work efficiency.

Jiang Xun's eyes widened: "President Ji, you..."

He was just smiling at someone's picture, and now he's asking for her address. Is President Ji, this eternal iron tree, about to unfurl its pedestal... oh no, is he about to bloom?!

"Go check." Ji Hanchen said in a nonchalant tone, casually tossing the tablet back into the passenger seat.

Xu Qingyun is currently staying at a hotel owned by the Ji family.

Since the Xu family offered her no place to stay, she naturally had no need to return.

A week has passed since her grandfather's funeral, and she has been looking for a place to settle down.

After taking a shower and changing into her bathrobe, Xu Qingyun heard the doorbell ring.

Her brows furrowed, her nerves tightened, and she instinctively held her breath.

who?

"I am Ji Hanchen."

Xu Qingyun was taken aback. Ninth Master Ji?

Why is he here?

"May I ask what brings you here, Mr. Ji?" Xu Qingyun asked from the doorway, her voice cool and aloof.

Ji Hanchen said indifferently, "Come and get the umbrella."

Xu Qingyun was surprised. Would a wealthy family like the Ji family be short of an umbrella?

"Mr. Ji, it's inconvenient for me to open the door. I'll bring the umbrella to the front desk tomorrow morning. Could you please send someone to pick it up?"

"Does Miss Xu think I, Ji Hanchen, have so much time that I would make a special trip just for an umbrella?"

Xu Qingyun frowned. Why did they have to brave the torrential rain to make this trip when there wasn't much time left?

She opened the door a crack and handed him the umbrella, saying, "Thank you, Mr. Ji."

Ji Hanchen looked at the outstretched arm, fair and slender, and then looked up to see a clean and delicate face, with fair cheeks flushed, different from her that day, now more lively.

His throat tightened involuntarily, and Ji Hanchen said in a deep voice, "Miss Xu, I came here in the rain and I'm soaked to the bone. It would be very impolite of you not to offer me a cup of hot water."
