Ye Boyun's face showed little expression. He simply closed his eyes and said calmly, "Alright, I understand. You can go now."
The butler didn't say much, since they all knew what kind of person this so-called young master was.
An adopted child is only slightly higher in status than a servant to a master who values bloodlines so highly.

After the butler left, Ye Boyun let out a deep sigh.

However, her memories of what followed were not very clear. She didn't remember whether she was not gentle or even a little rough.
"What is Yunyun thinking about?" Ji Hanchen stroked Xu Qingyun's cheek, trying hard to suppress his heartache.
Xu Qingyun smiled faintly, "It's nothing. Ji Hanchen, did you sleep well last night?"
"Hmm." Ji Hanchen forced a smile.
He didn't sleep all night, just watched her all night.
Ji Hanchen didn't know how to tell her about the drug; it would probably be a big blow to her.

Xu Qingyun was slightly taken aback, a strange feeling passing through her heart.
Ji Hanchen didn't look at her, and said softly, "Yunyun, get up, let's go have breakfast."
Xu Qingyun stared at Ji Hanchen's retreating figure, momentarily stunned, then frowned slightly.

After getting out of bed and washing up, Xu Qingyun changed into a comfortable set of home clothes and went downstairs.
Breakfast was already prepared at the restaurant. It was made by a maid that Ji Hanchen had hired. She was not usually at home; she would only come in the morning to prepare breakfast and clean the rooms, and then leave after making dinner in the evening.
Xu Qingyun sat at the dining table, her voice cool and calm, "Ji Hanchen, is something on your mind?"
Ji Hanchen was peeling an egg for Xu Qingyun when he heard this. His long fingers paused, then he looked up at her and said in a deep voice, "Ye An is dead."
Xu Qingyun suddenly opened her eyes wide, complex emotions gathering in her clear, cold eyes like rolling clouds.
She hated Ye An, but after all, Ye An had raised her for ten years and had given her warmth, so it was impossible for her not to feel emotional upon hearing the news of his death.
After a moment of silence, Xu Qingyun asked, "Were you silenced?"
Ji Hanchen couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, "Why do you think that?"
Yunyun is so smart.
Xu Qingyun lowered her eyes. "I know Ye An. He is not someone who would commit suicide, and he has no reason to do so."
"Perhaps it was a suicide pact?" Ji Hanchen asked rhetorically.
Xu Qingyun snorted lightly, with a hint of mockery, "If he really liked my mother that much, he would have already broken down when he found out about her and left with her."
"Ji Hanchen, have you found out something I don't know? It's not just about him lying to me about being raped, is it?"
Ji Hanchen's hand suddenly trembled.
"Tell me, it must be something very important, otherwise Ye An wouldn't have been silenced." Xu Qingyun looked at Ji Hanchen with burning eyes.
Ji Hanchen felt that the girl's gaze was too sharp, as if she had seen through everything, so he subconsciously turned his face away.
But just then, Xu Qingyun grasped his hand. "Ji Hanchen, tell me, I can handle it."
Ji Hanchen felt as if a knife was stuck in his throat. After a long silence, he said in a deep voice, "That medicine will cause infertility."
Xu Qingyun's face turned pale. "So, I can never get pregnant again? I can never have children?"
"Yunyun, technology is so advanced now," Ji Hanchen tried to comfort her.
Xu Qingyun fell silent.
It turns out that the medicine Ye An had been giving her was an infertile drug.
But why?!
If Ye An wanted her to sell her body, that would be understandable, but over the years, Ye An has never made her accompany any man.
He could only introduce some antique restoration work; she was able to redeem Guyunfang because of that money.
Why make her infertile?
The inability to conceive means that she and Ji Hanchen cannot have their own child. Ji Hanchen is the heir of the Ji family, and he needs a child.
Ji Hanchen looked at Xu Qingyun. Just knowing that she couldn't get pregnant was such a blow to her. If she knew that the medicine would cause her pain during intercourse and cause habitual miscarriages, even if she was strong, she would probably break down.
Xu Qingyun asked, "Ji Hanchen, do you mind?"
Ji Hanchen frowned. "What do you mind?"
"Do you mind that I can't get pregnant?" Xu Qingyun asked earnestly.
Ji Hanchen retorted, "So what if I mind? What are you going to do? Break up with me?"
