"Jilun, let go!" Xu Qingyun's eyes sharpened.
As a head of smooth, jet-black hair fell down, a silver hairpin with tassels gleamed coldly and landed in Ji Lun's hand.
The wound where Xu Qingyun had stabbed Ji Lun had just scabbed over, so he instinctively flinched and retreated sharply.
He was genuinely scared.
Ji Lun knew Xu Qingyun better than anyone else what kind of person she was. Although she seemed aloof and cold, like a flower on a high mountain, she actually had a ruthless streak in her bones.
No man can resist the allure of a stunningly beautiful woman in a cheongsam, and Ji Lun was no exception.

"You say to another woman, 'Baby, I'm in Beijing, I miss you, wanna meet up tonight?'"
"I asked you where you were, and you said you were in England. I asked you why you weren't replying to my messages, and you said you were busy, but actually you were saying, silly girl, of course I was too busy to reply to you."
"Jilun, I have a very good memory, I won't make a single mistake."
Ji Lun was shocked. "You... how did you hear everything? You were in my ancestral home? Upstairs, in my uncle's room?!"
"I sensed someone was in my uncle's room. Were you with him?!"
Xu Qingyun did not deny it, "Ji Lun, you don't actually like me at all, otherwise you wouldn't have been unable to bear the loneliness."
"They say the things you can't have are always the most alluring. You feel resentful because you've been pursuing me for two years without ever kissing me or sleeping with me."
Xu Qingyun's incisive observation seemed to have struck Ji Lun like a blow to the head. He pursed his lips and remained silent.
Xu Qingyun thought he had given up, so she turned to leave, but Ji Lun grabbed her hand.
Then, he smiled again, his tone becoming relaxed and cheerful: "So, that's why you're angry?"
Xu Qingyun did not answer.
“Xiaoyun, they’re all my bad friends.” Ji Lun unlocked his phone and scrolled through the recorded phone calls.
“Baby, I’ve arrived in Beijing. You little rascal, of course I missed you. You were on my mind the whole time on the plane.”
"Get lost! Ji Lun, you son of a bitch, how disgusting are you! If you keep yelling like that, I'll come over and deal with you right now."
Then, Ji Lun opened WeChat.
"Honey, I'm in Beijing, and I miss you. How about we meet up tonight?"
"Holy crap! Grandson, you're back?! Let's make plans, quick! I'll get Big Donkey and the others together, and bring your little darling over to meet us!"
Xu Qingyun was somewhat bewildered, "You...then why did you lie to me about being abroad?"
Ji Lun's gaze softened. "Of course, it's to buy time, Xiao Yun. I came back early because I have a surprise for you. Come with me."
The villa has a garden with a large patch of white roses climbing all over it, with small yellow lights twining around the flowers, making the whole garden look absolutely beautiful.
"Besides succulents, your favorite is white roses, so I specially transplanted this garden. Do you like it?"
Xu Qingyun didn't know how to answer for a moment.
At this moment, Ji Lun knelt on one knee, holding up a diamond ring, and said, "Xiao Yun, marry me."
Xu Qingyun's breath hitched. Ji Lun had actually proposed?
Just then, a tall figure rapidly approached, and a terrifying sense of oppression instantly enveloped the surroundings.
Ji Hanchen grabbed Ji Lun by the back of the neck and flung him away!
Bang!
Ji Lun crashed hard into the flowerbed, white rose petals flying everywhere, and Ji Lun groaned.
Ji Hanchen's sharp gaze fell on Ji Lun like a knife. "I told you, you two broke up!"
Ji Lun glared angrily at Ji Hanchen: "So what if you're my uncle?! You knew Xiaoyun was my girlfriend, yet you still acted like a mistress. How dare you be the heir to the Ji family?!"
Ji Hanchen sneered coldly, "So what if I'm a mistress? Ji Lun, I'll say it again, you're not good enough for Yunyun! If you dare to bother her again, I'll break your legs!"
Ji Lun's eyes were bloodshot. "What if I refuse?"
"Then let's give it a try." Ji Hanchen never joked!
"Let's give it a try!" Ji Lun spat out a mouthful of saliva, which was tinged with blood, probably because his teeth had been bleeding from the blow.
He stared wide-eyed, then suddenly collapsed onto the grass with a thud, like a zombie.
Xu Qingyun frowned. Ji Lun was squeamish about blood and had fainted before.
Since he was her ex-boyfriend, she stepped forward to offer her help.
But Ji Hanchen grabbed her wrist and said irritably, "You won't die."
Ji Hanchen was furious. If the old man hadn't told him that Ji Lun had taken Xu Qingyun away, he wouldn't know what Ji Lun was planning to do.
Xu Qingyun struggled a bit, "Ji Hanchen, he is, after all, your nephew."
Ji Hanchen felt a tightness in his chest. "You're worried about me?"
Xu Qingyun did not reply, but instead pressed Ji Lun's philtrum acupoint.
Ji Lun quickly regained consciousness.
"Xiaoyun, I knew you cared about me."
Xu Qingyun withdrew her hand.
"Xiaoyun, I'm really different from before. I've been pursuing you for two whole years. Can't you feel my feelings for you? Even if you don't agree to my proposal, can you give me another chance? I don't want to give up on you."
