Chapter 52 Ren Anjing

Ji Hanchen doesn't set a special ringtone for anyone, but there are two exceptions, one of whom is Xu Qingyun.

The other one is Ren Anjing, the person who gave birth to him.

For six whole years, the bell never rang.

Upon hearing this ringtone, all of Ji Hanchen's dreams were shattered instantly, and those memories, almost etched into his bones, tore at him like a raging flood.

Ji Hanchen took a deep breath, suppressing the surging anger in his blood, picked up the phone, walked to the balcony, and pressed the answer button.

"Come pick me up at the central airport at three in the morning."

Ren Anjing only said one sentence, and then immediately hung up.

The mother and son hadn't seen each other for six years. Their first phone call was only for this one sentence, which was extremely cold.

Ji Hanchen gripped his phone tightly, his knuckles turning white, and his face was extremely pale.

3 a.m.?

Ha, are all the servants and drivers in the Ji family dead? Why does he, their own son who should be in the hospital, have to go pick them up?!

Putting his phone away, Ji Hanchen tried hard to suppress the turbulent emotions in his heart. By the time he turned around, he had completely composed himself.

Every time Ji Hanchen faces his biological mother, it triggers the violent tendencies within him.

At these times, his eyes would become extremely terrifying, and he might even do terrible things.

That's why he had to take antidepressants for a period of time.

Ji Hanchen didn't want Xu Qingyun to see his ugly side, and he didn't want his little girl to be afraid of him.

"Yunyun, come back with me, okay? I'm worried about leaving you here alone."

Xu Qingyun shook her head, "No need, I can manage on my own."

Ji Hanchen's handsome face was stern. "You're a girl, you need to be protected. Aren't you afraid that Ji Lun will break in again?"

Xu Qingyun still felt lingering fear when she thought about last night.

Fortunately, it was Ji Hanchen and Bai Ruiting at the time; she couldn't imagine what would have happened if it had been anyone else.

But she was unwilling to rely on others easily.

"Ji Hanchen, I'll lock the door. If you have something to do, go ahead and do it."

**

At 2:30 a.m., Ji Hanchen had already arrived at the central airport.

Ji Hanchen knew Ren Anjing's personality all too well; if he didn't come to pick her up at the airport, that woman would make a big fuss about it.

However, Ren Anjing's sudden return to China surprised him.

She's no longer expanding her overseas business?!

Ren Anjing was Ji Huai's secretary back then. She was beautiful and capable, which made her very popular with Ji Huai.

She cleverly seized this opportunity to rise to the top, successfully taking her place and becoming pregnant with Ji Hanchen's child.

For an ordinary woman, becoming a wife of a wealthy family would mean indulging in a life of luxury.

It can be quiet, but not the same.

She knew all too well about Ji Huai's womanizing ways, and she also knew that she would grow old and lose her beauty one day. Once Ji Huai got tired of her, she would get nothing but a hefty alimony payment.

Therefore, she wanted Ji Hanchen to become the heir of the Ji family and to have a place in the family.

She employed an exploitative educational approach, transforming Ji Hanchen into a capable successor in just sixteen years.

Afterwards, Ren Anjing began to interfere in the group's business, continuously expanding into overseas markets, and becoming a female tycoon in the business world.

As Ji Hanchen recalled every detail about Ren Anjing, a mocking smile suddenly appeared on his lips.

Although she was his mother, it seemed that he had never seen any scenes of maternal love and filial piety in his memory. All he had were her quiet, stern words that forced him to work harder and become the best.

Ji Hanchen sat alone in the car, lost in thought, until the sound of high heels snapped him back to reality.

It really was Ren Anjing.

Ren Anjing, now in her fifties, still looks young, with her hair up, wearing a striped suit, and a male assistant in his thirties following behind her.

Ji Hanchen didn't get out of the car, but opened the door and waited for Ren Anjing to walk up to him.

"Get out of the car!" Ren Anjing ordered.

Ji Hanchen frowned and sneered, "Does Ms. Ren think it's still twenty years ago?"

"Ji Hanchen, I'll say it again, get out of the car!" Ren Anjing emphasized, her tone very forceful.

Ji Hanchen's eyes were cold, but he still got out of the car in the end.

Snap!

A loud slap landed on Ji Hanchen's face without warning.

Ji Hanchen's pupils contracted sharply, and dark clouds churned in his eyes, as if a storm was brewing.

Ren Anjing, however, did not feel that anything was wrong. She sternly reprimanded, "Ji Hanchen, as the heir of the Ji family, your every word and action represents the image of the Ji family!"

"As the uncle, you actually tried to break your own nephew's leg in the hospital. You've disappointed me so much!"

"If the public relations department hadn't intervened in time, it would have caused a huge uproar!"

"I'm telling you, I won't allow this to happen again. You break up with that Xu Qingyun right now!"

Ren Anjing was decisive and efficient. After speaking, she sat in the back seat and closed the car door.

Ji Hanchen clenched his fists tightly. "You have no right to interfere in my affairs!"

Ren Anjing flung open the car door with a "whoosh," and yelled, "You think you're all grown up now, daring to talk back to your mother?!"

"Yunyun and I will not break up!" Ji Hanchen said through gritted teeth, his voice firm and resolute.

Ren Anjing pointed her finger at Ji Hanchen's nose, "Ji Hanchen, I'll say it again, you can marry anyone, but not Xu Qingyun! There's no room for discussion on this!"

Ren Anjing looked at Ji Hanchen with a stern expression, leaving no room for doubt.

Ji Hanchen's eyes narrowed, his murderous aura radiating coldness. "I will not marry anyone but Xu Qingyun! I am no longer the Ji Hanchen of the past, who would obey your every command!"

Ren Anjing sneered, "You may have grown up, but you're not in charge of the Ji family yet! I can put you on the throne as heir, or I can make you lose everything!"

Ji Hanchen scoffed, "You think I care?"
