Xu Qingyun was startled; she hadn't realized there were so many people.
Ji Hanchen remained calm and composed, his cold face showing no sign of panic, as if the people in front of him were just some clowns jumping around haphazardly.
"Lu Chuan, come out." Ji Hanchen's voice was deep.
The tall, thin man sneered, "Call for backup? Fine, I'll give you time to call for backup, but if you're going to court death, you should know who you've messed with first."
"Oh, who?" Ji Hanchen gave a cold smile. Someone really is courting death.
The tall, thin man slicked back his slicked-back hair. "Grandpa, I'm Xia Yuan."
"Xia Yuan? You're Xia Yuan?" Lu Chuan pushed open the door to the private room, his shirt haphazardly stuffed into his pants, looking quite intrigued.
Xia Yuan sneered, "Looks like we've finally found someone with eyes. Fine, it's good that we know you, Master Xia. Now we'll know how to die."
Lu Chuan smiled, walked to Ji Hanchen's side, and nodded to Xu Qingyun, "Miss Xu, it's been a long time."
Now is not the time for greetings. Xu Qingyun nodded slightly and looked at Ji Hanchen: "There are too many of them. You and Lu Chuan are not enough, and you are injured."
Ji Hanchen scoffed, "So you know how to care about me now?"
Lu Chuan laughed, "Old Ji, Miss Xu isn't worried about you, she's just concerned that we can't win."
Ji Hanchen didn't care; all he heard was Yunyun's concern for his injury, and he wouldn't listen to anything else.
Xia Yuan was enraged when he was ignored. "Attack! Beat them to death! Shen Luo is my brother-in-law. On his turf, no one will care if we kill these two bastards!"
Those people immediately prepared to attack, looking fierce and menacing.
Lu Chuan raised his leg and kicked aside the nearest henchman, then bent down to light a cigarette. "Chen Luo, hurry up and acknowledge your family."
Xia Yuan was taken aback, then narrowed his eyes, "You know my brother-in-law?"
Lu Chuan laughed, "That's right, your grandpa and Ninth Master grew up with Shen Luo like brothers."
"Ninth... Ninth Master?!" Xia Yuan exclaimed in shock. "You mean the Ninth Master of the Ji family?!"
