Chapter 11 Extraordinary Origins

Zhao Xiaoyue thought for a moment and decided to tell the truth.

So she hesitated for a long time before speaking, and the old lady was extremely nervous.

Zhao Xiaoyue leaned closer to the old lady and said, "Grandma, first of all, I'm not a fairy or any kind of demon or monster, I'm really Zhao Xiaoyue."

She could clearly feel that the old lady's eyes brightened, her hands stopped trembling, and even the haze in her eyes cleared up completely.

Alas, it seems the old lady thought her granddaughter was dead.

"Grandma, I come from thirty years in the future, actually from when I was an adult. Somehow, my soul returned to when I was six and a half years old, and it happened so suddenly! And it seems like I can't go back!"

The old woman only heard one thing: the soul? Only when you die can your soul leave your body?

The old woman held Zhao Xiaoyue's hands tightly. "When you grow up? Did you die and then come back after you grew up?"

The old lady's eyes were visibly red.

"No, no, Grandma, she's fine. She just fainted. Anyway, I don't know what happened, so I came back!"

The old lady asked uncertainly, "Xiaoyue, are you really Grandma's Xiaoyue? Or are you just trying to make me happy?"

Zhao Xiaoyue said with absolute certainty that when the old lady shrank, she clearly saw her let out a long breath again!

Then the old lady briskly got up, patted the dirt off her bottom, and said, "That's alright, let's go eat!"

"Hey! Hey? Time to eat? Grandma, is that all? Why don't you interrogate me a bit more? What if it's all fake?"

He also patted the dirt off his bottom a few times and followed behind the old lady, shouting.

The old lady glared at Zhao Xiaoyue. "I couldn't understand it before, but now I've figured it out. You're not my own granddaughter, so why would you care about an old woman like me?"

"Whether you grow up or shrink, as long as you're all doing well, it's not a big deal!"

Wow, the old lady is quite receptive.

Zhao Xiaoyue had no idea how important her decision was; from then on, the old lady became Zhao Xiaoyue's "mouth substitute."

This thrilling morning really whetted the appetites of the grandmother and grandson!

It was almost afternoon when Aunt Wangqiu arrived carrying a large bag, ready to go home.

Zhao Xiaoyue helped the old lady pack a few clothes, locked the door, and prepared to leave.

Aunt Wangqiu was curious. Wasn't this old woman determined never to live with her daughter? What's going on today...?

What did the old lady say about coming here? Oh, she said her daughter was brainless, couldn't understand anything, let alone do accounting? Her son-in-law was at work, so she had to go and keep an eye on him.

Aunt Wangqiu had nothing to say. Apart from being "generous" to her two sons, Old Lady Li was just a rooster, made of iron.

Look how spoiled his two sons have become; now he might finally start to do good deeds.

You know, rural people have such divergent thinking. Look at how this aunt is thinking. If Old Lady Li knew how she was making fun of her, she'd definitely give her a good glare.

When the old lady asked Zhao Xiaoyue how she would deal with her two sons, Zhao Xiaoyue vaguely said that when she told Uncle Li that she would sue them about their pension in the village and they would lose all their money, Uncle Li and his sons immediately backed down and said they wanted the money but not their mother.

Since she wants to help her daughter so much, let her help; they don't care!

When Zhao Guozhong and his wife saw the old lady that evening, they happily took the bag and pulled her onto the kang (a heated brick bed).

When asked why she came, the old lady slammed her hand on the kang table a few times and said, "What? You don't want your old woman to come? Is it because my son didn't raise me well, and my daughter doesn't want to raise me either?"

Oh dear, this old lady.

The couple quickly replied, "No, no, we're very happy."

Actually, the old lady was too proud to admit it. When Li Guilan saw that her mother was missing a front tooth, she was about to ask what was wrong when the old lady glared at her and said only two words: "Shut up!"

Zhao Xiaoyue gave a vague explanation as to how the old lady's two sons agreed, and the couple didn't ask much about it.

And just like that, the old lady became the "general manager" and "accountant" of "Taste," and she managed to straighten out every single detail!

Life was getting better and better, and it was time for Zhao Xiaoyue to go to the competition at the end of the semester.

Zhao Guozhong and Li Guilan were extremely nervous early in the morning.

The old lady pulled Zhao Xiaoyue aside and whispered, "Are you confident?"

The worry in his eyes was impossible to hide.

Zhao Xiaoyue winked playfully!

The old lady instantly realized that there was no doubt about it.

Zhao Xiaoyue undoubtedly won first place and will participate in the city-level competition when school starts.

The teachers at Mingde Elementary School were overjoyed, and the principal even gave Zhao Xiaoyue twenty yuan out of his own pocket.

Teacher Guo and Teacher Xiao Hu went to Zhao Xiaoyue's house in person, and Zhao Xiaoyue acted like a good girl.

The old lady found it amusing.

Teacher Guo, holding a teacup, sat around the iron stove with Zhao Guozhong and the others, warming themselves by the fire.

Teacher Guo said to Zhao Guozhong, "You've all seen Zhao Xiaoyue's situation. The school has suggested that she skip a grade, but because she's too young, it's not appropriate for her to go directly to fifth or sixth grade. We suggest third grade. What do you think?"

Zhao Guozhong was stunned. "Skipping...skipping a grade?"

This girl didn't mention it?

Turning to look at her own daughter, Zhao Xiaoyue's eyes were clear and bright; she was adorable!

this……?

He hesitated, wondering if this was a good thing or a bad thing.

The old lady was dismayed just looking at it, and slammed her hand on the kang table, "What's there to hesitate about? You two have turned a good thing into a bad one. Make a decision now!"

Zhao Xiaoyue...

As expected of her grandmother, awesome!

Zhao Guozhong and his wife blurted out, "Yes, it's possible, yeah!"

Then I sat up straight.

The old lady curled her lip, a hint of disdain in her voice, "Useless!"

Teacher Guo didn't know what expression to make, but the old lady said, "Teacher, please say something!"
