Lake Park
Zhao Xiaoyue lay on the edge of Qinghu Lake, having already vomited water three times.
Situ Ming was startled, patted Zhao Xiaoyue on the back, and handed her clean water.
Zhao Xiaoyue took it and rinsed her mouth.
Oh my god, she threw up so badly.
It took me a while to recover after sitting in the chair for a long time.
Situ Ming looked at Zhao Xiaoyue across from him, and he was speechless.
"You... fell into the water?"
Zhao Xiaoyue waved her hand, "It's nothing, I was just too thirsty today and drank too much water and got poisoned."
This is too embarrassing. I can't let anyone else know about it, or my image will be completely ruined.
She pressed the acupoints on her hand for about ten minutes before the pain was completely relieved.
The young man's brows furrowed. "I'll take you to the hospital!"
"I'm practically a doctor myself!"
The sun was setting in the west, and it was getting dark.
Zhao Xiaoyue wasted no time. She took off her jacket, folded it neatly, and placed it on the bench. She then beckoned to Situ Ming, "Put your wrist here, just like I do."
She demonstrated the proper way to take a pulse.
Situ Ming walked over, placed his wrist properly, and Zhao Xiaoyue took his pulse with three fingers of her right hand.
As soon as my fingers touched it, I felt something was wrong.
Hmm? That pulse is beating a little fast!
Situ Ming's ear tips turned slightly red for the first time, but his hair covered it so no one could see it.
"Try to relax, buddy."
The little girl closed her eyes and carefully examined the changes in her pulse under her fingertips.
Situ Ming tried hard to control himself, to relax and not be nervous, but the delicate touch on his wrist made his whole body tense up again.
"Don't tense up, I can't feel your pulse anymore, and don't strain, that's the only way to be accurate."
Zhao Xiaoyue pursed her lips and continued taking the pulse. This time, she wasn't fooling around; she was taking the pulse very seriously.
Western medicine's treatment is not as gentle as traditional Chinese medicine. Situ Ming's current body is like a dilapidated house; the slightest wind or rain will cause it to collapse.
We need to repair it little by little, starting from the foundation, otherwise this guy definitely won't live long.
"Put your other hand on top."
Situ Ming put down his right hand and switched to his left, while Zhao Xiaoyue continued to take his pulse.
After about eleven or twelve minutes, Zhao Xiaoyue withdrew her hand, raised her eyebrows, and said, "It seems that you have taken the medicine I prescribed on time. You deserve praise."
Situ Ming remained seated and did not move. "Of course I will do as you say, my savior."
Wow, that's a fresh term.
I have no way to repay your life-saving grace, so I will repay you with my life!
Smooth!
On the surface, Zhao Xiaoyue smiled and said, "My body used to be severely depleted, so let's adjust the prescription first." She turned around and took out three sheets of paper from her bag. "This is a prescription for six months."
Situ Ming took it; the handwriting was arrogant and domineering, unlike what one would expect from a young girl.
"Okay, I understand!"
Situ Ming carefully put away the prescription. "What would you like to eat? It's on me!"
In Situ Ming's opinion, the girl opposite him was quite the little foodie. He found it amusing to see her eating chicken legs with such relish that day.
He was gnawing on a chicken leg, while a dozen or so chicken bones were piled on the table.
Zhao Xiaoyue squinted, "What are you laughing at?"
Situ Ming composed himself. "It's nothing, let's go!"
Where to?
"You can walk around and think about what to eat. It's getting dark, and it's strange for us to sit here."
Situ Ming really wanted to take the little girl's hand, but he refrained from doing so.
"Oh, you can't eat greasy or spicy food while taking Chinese medicine. How about Huaiyang cuisine? It has a light and mild flavor with a good balance of saltiness and sweetness."
Situ Ming blinked, concealing the glint in his eyes. "Hmm, okay, whatever you say!"
Then, concealing her smile, she thought for a moment and said, "There's a Huaiyang cuisine restaurant on Huai'an Road that's famous for its crab meat lion's head meatballs and braised shredded tofu. Would you like to try it?"
The little girl's eyes sparkled like stars, her face was rosy, and her hair was tied in a ponytail. She nodded, and her hair trembled as she said, "Okay!"
Situ Ming hailed a taxi, and the two of them took a taxi to Huaiyang Road.
Zhao Xiaoyue was puzzled. Her driver, Zhang Xiaomeng, had gone to pick up Zhao Zhe; otherwise, that guy would have shamelessly insisted on being her driver.
Situ Ming is Wen Zhengtian's grandson, how come he doesn't even have a driver?
The Huaiyang cuisine restaurant wasn't very crowded today, and the waiter led the two of them to a small private room.
Zhao Xiaoyue exclaimed in admiration, "This is a big city after all. Even the private rooms are so exquisite. Look at the carved chairs and the embroidered screens; the carvings are intricate and delicate, and the embroidery is lifelike."
The waiter was a shy young man, clearly a recent graduate working part-time here.
Situ Ming pulled out a chair and asked Zhao Xiaoyue to put her schoolbag on the chair next to him before sitting down.
Our General Manager Zhao stared at the waiter and asked, "Young man, is business bad here? Why is it so quiet today?"
When Situ Ming heard the word "little brother," he thought the person was talking to him, but the second half of the sentence asked how the person's business was.
Her brows immediately darkened, and the atmosphere in the private room seemed to drop several degrees. She glanced at the male waiter with her sharp eyes and said, "Give her the menu, and get me a glass of hot water."
The waiter suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, as if some kind of wild beast was staring at him.
The male waiter quickly handed the menu to the young woman and nervously walked up to Situ Ming to pour him water, saying, "Please enjoy your meal!"
Zhao Xiaoyue looked on curiously, "Are you cold? Why are you shivering?"
"Let me introduce your dishes!" Situ Ming's tone was somewhat displeased.
The waiter swallowed hard, "We have..." and rattled off a bunch of things.
Zhao Xiaoyue picked out a few dishes and handed them to Situ Ming, saying, "Choose two."
Situ Ming glanced at the menu; everything was light and easy to digest, nourishing and replenishing qi and blood.
