Chapter 17 Harbour Sixth Street Pier

Li Guilan needed to continue her medication, and Zhao Xiaoyue wrote several prescriptions to regulate her body. The old lady knew about this.

Zhao Guozhong looked at the prescription and was about to ask where it came from when Zhao Xiaoyue interrupted him, saying, "I got it from Grandma Wu in Dali Village. Don't worry, Dad, I wouldn't joke around with Mom's health."

Grandma Wu's family has been practicing traditional Chinese medicine for generations; it can't be wrong.

Zhao Guozhong found it strange; this kid really seemed to know people everywhere.

Then he picked up a small bag and walked out. Zhao Guozhong instructed, "Keep a close eye on your sixth grandfather, don't let the traffickers kidnap you!"

Zhao Xiaoyue was speechless. "Okay, Dad, will you let Zhao Zhe go to school?"

"Oh? Oh, go ahead. It'll be the second half of the year then, so you can look after him at school and prevent him from being bullied!"

At first, the couple strongly disagreed when they heard that their daughter wanted to go on a trip with an old man. It was only after the old lady strongly persuaded Zhao Xiaoyue's parents that she was able to go out.

Zhao Xiaoyue told her grandmother and then ran to Uncle Pu's house.

I must say, the old man looks quite handsome in his long gown!

After a day and a night's journey, Zhao Xiaoyue's legs went weak when she got off the bus, but Uncle Pu remained as steady as a mountain.

Although she had seen too much of the glitz and glamour of the city in her previous life, the prosperity of the big city still caught Zhao Xiaoyue's eye. If only she could open a restaurant here...

Just as he was lost in his fantasies, Master Pu slapped him.

After the two left the station, Master Pu hailed a car in a very extravagant manner, and his gesture of lifting his robe to get into the car was as noble as that of a master.

Where did this old man get his money? He's so extravagant!

Seeing Zhao Xiaoyue standing there dumbfounded, Uncle Pu pulled her into the car and said to the driver, "Sixth Street Wharf in the harbor."

The driver paused, then turned to confirm, "Sir, are you referring to the Harbour Sixth Street Wharf?"

Master Pu nodded in agreement.

The driver paused for a few seconds and said, "Don't blame me for meddling, but that's not a good place. It's a mixed bag, full of bad things, and there's no way to control it. It's not safe for you to be with your granddaughter. The East District is a very cheap place to stay."

Uncle Pu smiled and said, "Thank you for the pier on Sixth Street in the harbor!"

driver……

Let's go!

Zhao Xiaoyue was puzzled. She wanted to ask, but the old man didn't seem to pay much attention to her. She felt like she was being kept in the dark. Besides, she couldn't sell her for much money anyway.

After driving for about half an hour, the car stopped near a gas station. A wide highway seemed to divide the city.

To the west, high-rise buildings stand tall and the streets are deserted; to the east of the highway, it is bustling with activity, filled with people and traffic.

This highway acts as a dividing line, clearly separating the two sides.

The driver stopped the car and said apologetically, "Sir, this is the only way I can take you."

"It's only lively at night here. You've brought your granddaughter along, so please take it easy."

After paying the fare, Uncle Pu got out of the car, his eyes glazed over as he stared ahead. Zhao Xiaoyue was a little curious. Where was this place? What was the old man up to? Wasn't he supposed to be going on an adventure? Why was he heading straight into the city?

Master Pu turned around, pulled Zhao Xiaoyue up, and said as he walked away, "I really don't have many days left to live. I'll take advantage of the time I have to pass on my mantle to you!"

Zhao Xiaoyue blinked her bewildered eyes, as if to say, "Your mantle is...?"

It was obvious she didn't believe it; she didn't say it aloud, but she was internally complaining!

Pu Liuye didn't explain much. He led Zhao Xiaoyue through the streets and alleys. After an hour, they entered an underground shopping mall and walked to a very hidden wall. Pu Liuye tapped his fingers rhythmically a few times, and an elevator appeared on both sides of the wall.

Wow, this technology!

We took the elevator to the top floor of a building.

A large black sign stood on the ground, with the words "Hunter" written in gold lettering!

Looking at the two large, flamboyant characters, Zhao Xiaoyue's sensitive nerves told her that this was a huge pitfall!

Oh no, I don't know if this master can even make it now.

Pu Liuye tapped on another wall, revealing a digital dial. He entered the password and pulled Zhao Xiaoyue inside.

The space, several hundred square meters in size, was very spacious and empty; the only sound was the clatter of footsteps.

After walking about twenty meters, they stopped in front of the vermilion gate. Uncle Pu knocked rhythmically with his fingers, and after about three minutes, he knocked a few more times before the door opened.

A man dressed in black looked at them. Master Pu asked, "I'm looking for Hou Taotao."

As soon as he finished speaking, a fat man, as plump as a peach, appeared at the door. His eyes were wide open, and he raised his hands to wipe them, his astonishment evident. His eyes were moist, and he pushed aside the bodyguards in black, grabbed Master Pu, and started punching him repeatedly.

Zhao Xiaoyue "..."

What was going on? While she was still in a daze, she heard the peach cry out, "Sixth Brother, you're finally back! Sixth Brother, I've been holding on so long, I'm practically dried into a peach! Ah..."

"Sixth Brother~~"

Pu Liuye grabbed Hou Taotao's long hair and pulled it aside, then slipped into the room and sat down on the armchair behind the long table.

Looking at the person who had traveled with him, he used to be a handsome young man, but now at forty years old, he looked like a plump peach.

Zhao Xiaoyue jumped onto the chair next to her as if they were old friends, picked up an apple from the table, and started crunching on it while watching the show.

Hou Taotao sensed his sixth brother's disdain, wiped his face, and still complained in a tearful voice, "Sixth brother, you haven't shown your face for five years, and you won't let us go to see you. Can't I even hug you?"

Zhao Xiaoyue was also impressed by this man who looked so aggrieved.

Acting cute? What kind of weird move is that?

Master Pu grew impatient and stopped the man's effeminate behavior with a single glance.
