Chapter 196 The Power of Money

In the home renovation advertising industry, there's a term called "whole-house customization," and in this context, it's called "whole-bamboo customization."

What does that mean?

The entire courtyard, rooms, and floors are all made of bamboo.

I don't know where the bamboo came from. There's no bamboo here, just a clear spring. Surprisingly, all the bamboo here is lush and green.

It was amazing that the mother opened the door for the amazing, and the amazing arrived home!

"Brother Meng, let me warn you, don't touch the bamboo here. It's not real bamboo; it's mixed with jade."

The gentle sound stopped a silly person from reaching for the bamboo on the railing.

"Hehe, I'm just looking to see why this is so green. Why is this bamboo so green? It's an abnormal green, like imperial emerald."

Zhang Xiaomeng scratched her head awkwardly.

Situ Ming gently touched the bamboo frame. "This was made from a whole bamboo frame, and it must be jade bamboo that is at least ten or twenty years old."

Zhao Xiaoyue gave a thumbs up, "As expected of you, young man, you know your stuff. That's why this thing is so expensive. More expensive than Old Man Bai's life."

Pushing aside the bamboo door, the aroma of medicine wafted out—a very pleasant medicinal scent.

There are no special mechanisms here, because all the mechanisms are located on the outer perimeter of the main building.

Quicksand, tree rings—these are all mechanisms, and there are many, many more strange and unusual mechanisms.

"Wow, my little niece, the place here smells so good! How come an old man's place is like a girl's?"

Everything in the room was spotless and made of natural materials.

It was either a stone basin, a bamboo chair, or furniture made of precious wood.

There are four or five rooms, one of which has a locked medicine furnace. It feels like a place isolated from the world.

Zhao Xiaoyue led everyone through the corridor to a relatively large living room where they sat down.

The tea was top-grade Yunwu tea, and she also took a few other snacks from the kitchen.

The food wasn't very refined; it consisted of steamed buns, dumplings, and fried dough sticks—nothing else.

"Just eat this for now, I'll make some for them later."

Zhao Xiaoyue went out with a soft meat bun in her mouth.

She searched the storage room for a while and found something that looked like a firework.

He chewed the bun in his mouth, swallowed it, and then found a better spot.

With a twist of the bottom of the stick, a firework shot into the air and exploded with a loud crack.

The sound was so loud and bright that it was dazzling even under the blazing sun.

"That's good now," Zhao Xiaoyue calculated the time, estimating that Old Man Bai would be back soon.

She looked at the signal flare in her hand, never imagining that one day she would ignite it.

She remembered when she was learning things here in her past life, that old man almost cursed her to death for lighting one out of curiosity.

Now that she's rich, she's going to use money to bury Bai Bu Piao in the sand to get revenge for the person who cursed her in her past life.

Hmph!

After everyone had replenished their energy, Wang Biao and Situ Ming remained relatively calm upon hearing the sound of the fireworks exploding, while Zhang Xiaomeng was startled.

Without saying a word, he ran out and saw the signal flare in the helmsman's hand. He rushed over in a flash, looking just like a frightened puppy.

He glanced at the bamboo hut and, seeing that the two people weren't looking out, moved closer to Zhao Xiaoyue and spoke in a voice only the two of them could hear.

"Holder, is that a signal flare? Who are you signaling to?"

Zhao Xiaoyue tossed the empty signal flare to Zhang Xiaomeng, "Of course, we'd take it for free, who else could it be?"

Do you know where all the freebies go?

The helmsman is amazing! There's no secret the helmsman doesn't know!

"If he's within the range of the fireworks, he can get back in two hours. If he's far away, then it's uncertain."

"What is the visible range of this light?"

Zhao Xiaoyue shrugged and said, "Then you'll have to ask your physics teacher."

Sitting back down in the bamboo chair, Zhao Xiaoyue propped her chin up and asked Situ Ming, "Little brother, did you bring a check? Or cash is fine too!"

Situ Ming took out the checkbook from his backpack. "Here you go. Do you need it now?"

The box containing three jin of empty wine was placed on a bamboo stool by Zhao Xiaoyue.

She took the check, filled in a string of numbers, thought for a moment, tore off a page, and filled in a string of zeros again.

Xiao Xing's eyes narrowed and sparkled, as if tiny glints of light were flowing out. Her cunning little fox-like appearance dazzled Situ Ming.

It's getting more and more lively and adorable as it grows.

Hmph, double protection! Let's see if he can escape her grasp without taking advantage of her.

About two hours later, less than three hours later, a series of hurried footsteps came from outside the door, accompanied by cursing.

I got my money back from not taking anything for free!

"Which bastard broke into your grandpa's house and touched your grandpa's things? You petty thief, how dare you trespass on your grandpa's territory? Do you want to die or have you had enough of living?"

"You bastards, you're all just asking for death, like the birthday boy hanging himself..."

The sound of hurried running and cursing accompanied a gaunt old man who walked straight into the group's line of sight.

He wore his hair in a Taoist bun, his eyes were slightly upturned, his three-pronged goatee was still quite upright, his cheeks were thin, and he looked malnourished but full of energy.

When he first saw four strangers barging into his house, Bai Bu Piao was momentarily stunned.

Then came a surge of anger and frustration, and he was about to unleash a torrent of curses.
