As the weather gets colder, Zhao Xiaoyue wears thicker and thicker clothes.
She is someone who is particularly sensitive to the cold. While others wear sweaters, she is basically wearing cotton-padded clothes. Paying attention to appearance has never been as important as warmth.
One time, the weather was unusually cold, and she was bundled up like a ball. Too lazy to drive, she ended up being stopped by the security guard at the company entrance.
The newly hired security guard had never met the boss before, and thinking he was being very diligent, he called her "auntie" and scolded her!
It almost made the comic convention staff laugh so hard they rolled on the floor.
She's still wrapped up like a ball.
I glanced at it as I walked past the newsstand, huh?
It was an announcement, roughly saying that there would be a Chinese language competition in the county near the end of the semester, and interested students could contact their homeroom teacher to register.
Zhao Xiaoyue stroked her chin thoughtfully. She needed more free time. Wasn't this a perfect opportunity?
Back in class, Teacher Xiaohu handed out a pinyin test paper.
The sound of papers being handed out stopped, and Teacher Xiaohu stood on the podium and said, "You can't look at other people's papers. It's okay if you make mistakes."
Zhao Xiaoyue would just chuckle and always say it's okay, but she'd be the first to settle scores after the exam.
Little Keith, you've done twenty pinyin exercises in two class periods!
Zhao Xiaoyue finished writing in less than thirty minutes, and that was while concealing her true abilities.
After handing in the paper, I walked up to Teacher Xiaohu and whispered, "Teacher, I need to talk to you."
Teacher Xiaohu agreed when he saw how tiny the little boy looked.
All the first-grade teachers were sitting in the office.
Teacher Xiaohu took a sip of water from his teacup and asked Zhao Xiaoyue what was wrong.
Zhao Xiaoyue, with a statement that never fails to shock, declared, "I want to participate in the third-grade Chinese language competition!"
"Pfft, cough cough cough, what did you say?"
"Teacher, please slow down. I said I want to participate in the competition. I read the announcement; there was no age limit, and it didn't say that first graders weren't allowed to participate!"
Teacher Xiaohu patted the tea on his lap. "Wait a minute, wait a minute. You... you're going to participate in the third-grade competition?"
"Yes."
Teacher Xiaohu...
All the teachers in the group craned their necks like groundhogs, staring at Zhao Xiaoyue. The third-grade math teacher even scratched his crooked glasses!
Teacher Xiaohu realized what was happening and took a breath.
"Xiaoyue, this is no joke. You're only in first grade. There are competitions like this all the time. Can you sign up when you're in third grade?"
Zhao Xiaoyue said with absolute certainty, "Teacher, would you like to have Ms. Guo from the third grade give me a test before deciding?"
Teacher Guo smiled, walked over and sat down in a chair, twirling a pen in her hand. After thinking for a moment, she asked, "What gives you the confidence to participate in the competition?"
Zhao Xiaoyue...
Of course, it was because of that pervert at the comic convention in my past life that I was forced into this situation.
From elementary school to university, and then to studying abroad, I've earned all sorts of degrees.
If Zhao Xiaoyue doesn't want to learn, that's fine; then she'll have to personally handle all the social engagements and not be the behind-the-scenes boss.
This is terrible...
They even have the audacity to say: "The boss can't be illiterate!"
"Teacher, my grandma used to be a primary school teacher. She taught me until I was six years old. I had just learned fourth-grade material before the start of the new semester!"
Teacher Guo, "Excuse me for asking, but your grandmother studied...?"
Zhao Xiaoyue said sincerely, "Accounting plus private tutoring is number one!"
Teacher Guo...
All right!
Then Zhao Xiaoyue said, "Why don't you give us a test and see?"
Teacher Guo is a typical refined and gentle teacher, while Teacher Xiao Hu is rather loud and boisterous.
Teacher Guo got up, walked back to her desk, fiddled with something for a while, took out a test paper, and handed it to Zhao Xiaoyue.
"If you do this, I'll trust you and agree to your request."
Zhao Xiaoyue picked up the test paper and looked at it. Wow, it was the National Chinese Language Test Paper B on the front and the Mathematics Test Paper B on the back.
Wow, anything produced by Teacher Guo is bound to be a masterpiece!
Since the teacher is so adorable, she can't back down, right?
Can a teacher skip a grade if they win a competition?
Teacher Xiaohu, is this kid trying to fly to the heavens?
Teacher Guo assured her, "Yes, but the principal must sign it, and the parents must know."
Zhao Xiaoyue: "Then there's no problem. Teacher Xiaohu, teachers, I'll start now. Teacher Guo, please time me."
All the teachers: "..."
This has already been arranged!
A teacher who was going to class closed the door.
Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Zhao Xiaoyue completed both the Chinese and Math sections in just one hour and got full marks!
The teachers were a little incredulous. Teacher Xiaohu casually touched Zhao Xiaoyue's hair, as if to say, "How did this kid's head grow like this?"
It's so amazing!
Stepping out of the office, Zhao Xiaoyue wiped away her cold sweat. "When the emperor is far away, my grandmother is the most reliable."
That lie was so shocking!
Surely no one can keep nagging her grandmother about this.
As she walked along the garden path and approached the first-grade classroom, she glanced sideways towards the fifth-grade classroom.
That's strange. What's going on?
Just then, Butler Zhu came out of the principal's office, holding Situ Ming's transfer file.
He walked up to Situ Ming and said, "Let's go, young master."
Situ Ming withdrew his gaze and left!
Going home after school is something that excites children, and going home is always something to look forward to.
As soon as Zhao Xiaoyue stepped across the threshold, she smelled the aroma of food!
It seems the restaurant closed early today and has leftover food.
Some restaurant owners are really outrageous; they take your order, then just before it's about to be cooked, they decide they don't want it anymore.
Some guests can't finish their food but make a big fuss by ordering a lot. These aunties would pack the leftovers to take home and eat the rest themselves, so there was no waste!
Li Guilan had just placed the food on the table; it was boiled fish and cold cabbage salad.
